Obama hails 'extraordinary sacrifice' of bureaucrats

President Obama hailed the “extraordinary sacrifice” of government bureaucrats Tuesday, blasting “a political climate where folks too often talk down government for cheap applause.”

Speaking to a gathering of some of the best-paid and most senior civil servants in Washington, Obama bemoaned that “Americans don’t trust government like we used to.”

In an apparent swipe at congressional Republicans, the president said the eroding trust could be partially attributed to “a very deliberate strategy of trying to undermine government” and “political opportunism” from “those who think the market is king and there isn't any room for regulatory efforts.”

The president also criticized media coverage of the civil service, saying the federal government rarely garnered coverage when things were going well.

“Doing your job right often means nobody hears about you,” Obama said. “They only report when something goes wrong, or when there's a shutdown and somebody notices, ‘Oh we need that.’ ”

“It’s easy copy for the press to focus on the one thing that goes wrong instead of the 99 things that go right,” he added.

What would Obama know about doing "right". Everything he does is anti American and illegal. Time to make an example out of this usurper. Put him on trial then Hang 'em high I say.

my sentiments exactly!!

Contact your state reps, senators, govs, to support "Article V Convention of States"!! Lets rid

the country, world, of all these traitors once and for all!!!

Right on, Gary. The ONLY Obama has kept is "change."  Anything else he does i against America and/or our Constitution.

He always says, "just because it's the right thing to do"!!!  How many times have we heard him say that?

His idea of the right thing to do!! To heck with America.

i would like to see the day when they get 99 things right and 1 wrong!!!!

When is the last time any of us were told what a great job we are doing.  That is the problem with this idiot and his minions.  They are like a bunch of recalcitrant children who expect a trophy for just showing up.  Grow up jack ass, do the job you said you would do for the wages we (taxpayers) offered.  If you want a pat on the back do your damn job and don't expect a bonus.  None of us get a bonus, why should you.

This person has no voice as far as I'm concerned... he/she is still not legit!

Agree    ....Obama does not even exist in my world.

We don't "trust" the government like we used too? Must mean BLINDLY TRUST them.

Well Obama that IS what happens when you shtook, shtook, Shtook US all the while imagining we're too stupid to look OR SEE.

What kind of sacrifice does Obama want or  what is he talking about, A Fatted calf?

He is firmly convinced his supposed IQ of 120 is great, HA!  He is only slightly above American Average, I thought 120 was the required minimum  for college!   LWC, RPhPD

When Obama speaks... he just keeps digging a bigger hole for himself.

Gohmert: Dems Will Drag Out Impeachment — Try To Get ‘Best Socialist’ Nominated For President

During an appearance on Huntsville, AL radio’s WVNN on Thursday, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) offered his best assessment of what House Democrats were trying to accomplish with their impeachment efforts.

Gohmert told WVNN’s “The Jeff Poor Show” impeachment could tie up the Democratic Party’s presidential campaign efforts but predicted Democrats would use the occasion to nominate “the best socialist” they can.

“They would lose in the Senate,” Gohmert said on impeachment. “And besides that, the entire time it was on trial in the Senate, the Democrats who are running for president wouldn’t be allowed to campaign. That’s in the Constitution. They wouldn’t be able to campaign. I just can’t imagine them wanting to do that because if they send it to the Senate, they have now perfectly set up the scenario of 1996, where they will reassure Donald Trump is reelected as president. They don’t want to do that. They’re probably going to drag this thing out as long as they possibly can … through Iowa, through primaries — try to get the best socialist they can to be nominated.”

“Then just end up and say, ‘Now we’re close enough to the general election. We’ve thrown mud at the president through the House,’” he continued. “What they’re really doing — they’re using taxpayer funds to campaign against Trump. That’s all this is — a campaign fund that taxpayers are paying for in order to try to throw mud at the president. I’ll be surprised if they have that vote, but I can’t imagine they want to set up this president for reelection by having a trial in the Senate where they lose.”
