December 23rd 2012 a New York Newspaper Printed the names and addresses of every Licensed Pistol Permit holder in two Countiesand another County is being posted shortly! This is a massive privacy breach and the latest in a series of over the top emotional reactions to the latest shooting tragedy in Sandy Hook CT meant to intimidate the lawful and prey on peoples fears to exploit the gun grabbing agenda.
In an article title “The gun owner next door: What you don’t know about the weapons in your neighborhood” the paper linked to an interactive map titled: “Map: Where are the gun permits in your neighborhood?” where you can search neighborhoods to see who received a legal permit to own a hand gun license listed by name and address.
Some Immediate Reaction to this invasion of privacy:
“The gun -owner has an added responsibility to take all measures that their firearms do not fall into the hands of such miscreants. Beside the natural precautions, they cannot permit themselves to fall hostage in trade for access to their firearms locks.”
” If the homeowner is killed or injured, will LOHUD be charged as an accomplice to the crime?”
“It is as if they put out an ad to jewel thieves listing the names and addresses of where to find diamonds and cash.”
“This is CRAZY!! why in the world would you post every licensed gun owner information?? What do you hope to accomplish by doing this? This is the type of thing you do for sex offenders not law abiding gun owners. What next? should I hang a flag outside my house that says I own a gun?”
“Now everyone knows where the LEGAL GUNS are kept, a valuable piece of information for criminals. Why don’t you do something helpful, like trying to find out where the ILLEGAL GUNS are kept? That would be helpful to the non-criminal population”
Threats from local Government:
The New York Times Reported last week that Governor Cuomo of New York said:
“Confiscation could be an option. Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option — keep your gun but permit it,”

Permalink Reply by Archie C B on December 24, 2012 at 7:14am The left have to be dealt with soon. They should be eliminated. I don't mean shoot them, by rather controlled just as they would controlled others. Many should be imprisoned, placed on chain gangs in the deep hot humid south for 10-15 years periods. Just a comforting thought, yes?

Permalink Reply by Tony Thannisch MOD11 on December 24, 2012 at 8:54am works for me.....however, I think for the rest of their natural life on a chain gang would be a little better.

Sherriff Joe is missing out on an excellent opportunity to gain favor with the 0'bomb and the greenies. Right now we are paying while prisoners body build and work out with gymnastic equipment, Why not put that energy to work? Sherriff Joe should apply to the 0'bomb for a subsidy to improve his prison facilities and produce electricity at the same time. If Sherriff Joe installed stationary bicycles with generators in his prison and then hooked them up to recorder/meters and the electric grid he could supplement the power that Phoenix uses and help pay for the expenses of keeping prisoners incarcerated. Give the prisoners "good behavior time" for every k-watt of electricity they produce. No production? Then no time off for good behavior.

Some time in the forties or fifties one of those English inventors came up with an underfloor kinetic converter that would provide all household electricity.
The British Govt decided to go with the national grid - we have our own theories why....
Anyway, that is brilliant, TPP!

Permalink Reply by Ralph Roshto on December 24, 2012 at 7:45am When will we hold the NYT responsible for violating the rights of Free People? Is there a lawyer out there somewhere who wants to capture nation-wide free advertising by suing the pants off of this criminal socialist new world Pravda? I am sure all of the people who were violated would join in on the suit. I know I would if I were listed.
Permalink Reply by ladybard on December 26, 2012 at 1:38pm Good luck finding a New York lawyer to do that. They're all mouth and no moxie. And they're intimidated by the potential for retaliation from NY State. Otherwise I would be sitting very pretty, and my representation could buy himself a yacht.
Permalink Reply by Charles E Papp on December 24, 2012 at 7:47am New York? Who would have guessed that anyone in New York would stoop so low? (sarcasm intended). I know if I was on that list and my home was broken into, I would take that newspaper to court so damned fast it would make their head spin. Oh, I'd also make sure that I'd pass around the address of the one who wrote the article.
Permalink Reply by Beverley on December 25, 2012 at 5:16pm That's a worthy and great idea. The difference between conservatives and liberals is that conservatives are decent people, the left, not so much.
