Military experts are warning that North Korea has recently improved its weapons and military capabilities across the board and is far more dangerous than previously thought.

North Korea

Sputnik reports:

Last week, it was reported that the country had developed an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of delivering a nuclear payload to the US mainland. Only a crucial insulation issue remained to be solved to make the device truly threatening.

Now, a South Korean official has repeated the warning about the North’s missile capabilities, a Korean think tank is reporting that their neighbor’s ability to engage in special operations warfare has improved and North Korea has announced that it is developing a long-range aerial drone.

Director General of the North Korean Nuclear Affairs Bureau in South Korea Lee Sang-haw said in a government briefing that the missiles could travel much farther than previously thought, and that “Europe is also within range,” as well as other NATO countries. North Korea’s KN-08 missile, which is under development, is expected to have a range of more than 7,500 miles, the Daily Star Online reported December 17.

No more detail was offered. A senior South Korean official told the Daily Star that he couldn’t go into precise detail about classified information. “There are different assessments of North Korea’s ballistic missile capabilities, but what is for sure is as they repeat tests, they learn something important,” he would say.

Meanwhile, the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses (KIDA) has determined that North Korea has improved its special operations capacity over the years, it said December 18. According to testimony from North Korean defectors familiar with the country’s military, Kim Jung-Un has not only been chasing nuclear dreams, but has been building up his conventional military forces, the Yonhap News Agency reports.

This includes creating more special forces units and better training and equipping them, a source told Yonhap. Among them is a battalion specifically directed to attack the South Korean presidential office, a simulation of which was conducted last week.

Seoul is currently assessing North Korea’s military capabilities across the board for a report to be submitted to its Defense Ministry and Joint Chiefs of Staff in the first half of next year, the source said.

South Korea and Japan days ago had the first direct exchange of classified military intelligence on North Korea under a new intelligence-sharing pact that came into force last month. Insiders told Yonhap Japan may be interested in the new South Korean report.

On the same day, Pyongyang announced that a long-endurance aerial drone it has been developing is in the process of flight testing at greater distances than the drones the country currently uses.

A South Korean defense official told Yonhap that Seoul had detected many test flights by drones since early 2016. North Korea is estimated to have 300 observation drones and roughly 10 that are in some way armed.

North Korea this year has tested two nuclear devices and test launched dozens of missiles from varying terrain. Yohap reports that since 2000, 294 North Korean soldiers have defected to the South, 20 to 30 of whom have held command posts.

It's understandable anyone that could get out of a communist country, I see nothing wrong with that and I'm sure the South has done there home work on all of the north who has defected. During WWII many German people defected to America and many whom were Germany's best scientist. There were many that came that shouldn't have and we are suffering many of the socialist idea from there raising in a communist leader.

We are looking at a up coming President that has proved himself long before becoming President and the political status can't stand that fact. He has done more already before taking office then Obama has done in 8 years, why for one reason Trump isn't a Liar or fake He's the real thing. A man that says what he means, and means what he says. That alone is far more then what Obama has going for him.

Obama had the money of the Rick power hungry people in the world like George Soros. Obama also had the left wing media and Hollywood loons. Big difference wouldn't you say. Trump wasn't bought and paid for by media, special Interests, or other country's buying him, He didn't take money from anyone from other country's or our enemies.

One thing for sure, they are not afraid of war, and it is a bit of concern, they seem to stick to them self but have been known to mess around in issues, to just flex a muscle, to say we can.

It is also well noted they are backed up by China, to a point, even though China has had a issue with them from time to time.

Newsweek’s Headquarters
Raided By The NYPD

The headquarters of Newsweek was raided by the NYPD Thursday morning. Police reportedly took photos of the magazine’s servers.

New York Post reports:

About two dozen NYPD officers and investigators from the Manhattan district attorney’s office raided the offices of Newsweek and its parent company, IBT Media, on Thursday.

IBT Media was co-founded by Jonathan Davis and Etienne Uzac. The IRS placed a $1.2 million federal tax lien against Uzac in December 2017.

The agents were said to be photographing servers in the offices, but not downloading any files at the offices on 7 Hanover Square, according to sources.

Few details have emerged from the raid.

“Looking into reports that the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office @ManhattanDA raided Newsweek/IBT Offices today….sources say police have been there for hours. The DA has declined to comment,” tweeted reporter Avi Asher-Schapiro.

Newsweek is also in the news Thursday after an “insider” told The Wrap editor Jon Levine that the magazine has abandoned journalism for “rage clicks,” in the Trump-era.

“Newsweek was once a premiere media organization and an incredible springboard for young journalists hoping to grow a name for themselves,” the source told Levine.

“The company culture has turned the newsroom into a toxic work environment, while the publication has descended into a content farm for last-resort clickbait,” the source added.
