On May 16th, many Americans will come to Washington D.C. to take part in Operation American Spring, a peaceful protest with the goal of demanding the resignation of the corrupt leadership in our government. They feel the need to do so because President Obama is acting like a dictator, by passing congress and advancing his socialist agenda through government agencies such as the EPA, and executive orders.

Our congress has become weak. The Supreme Court did not follow the Constitution in allowing the indefinite detention of Americans without trial to remain the law by not hearing the case brought by Hedges, a news reporter. There are no more checks and balances. The IRS was used to target Tea Party groups and religious groups; individuals were audited and forced to spend thousands of dollars to defend themselves.

POLL: Do you believe that Congress is for sale to the highest special interest group bidder?

Local police departments are becoming militarized, and capitol police shot and killed an unarmed woman in the back as she was fleeing. Election fraud was rampant in the 2008 and 2012 elections. When states pass voter ID laws, the Justice Department says they are discriminatory. Same day registration and voting is allowed.

Main stream media don't report all the facts, the few that do are criticized by the president. Recently an FCC whistleblower revealed plans for government monitoring of news media. After the revelation, the plan was stopped. Department of Homeland Security has added constitutionalists, people who believe in liberty, and survivalists to its terrorist watch list. It has been given a billion bullets, some are hollow point, which are banned by the Geneva Convention.

Military has written scenarios where the Tea Party are the insurgents. The EPA unilaterally took a million acres from the state of Wyoming and gave them to Northern Arapaho tribes. Obama can order drone strikes on his authority alone. The Declaration of Independence gives the people the right to abolish a despotic government and institute new government. Operation American Spring aims to do that, in a peaceful protest.

Well said , although I would have added...If the gov't abandoned Amb. Stevens and the 3 Americans with him in Benghazi, and left them to die without even an attempt to save them , then what would that same gov't do to save the rest of the country from the same fate ? All this to save the Pres. re-election campaign from the embarrassment of a scandal ! Illegal use of his office for  political gains !

Terry Lynn, at this site, there are various tags at the top. On one of them (I think it was labeled OAS) were some discussions, and I saw someone offering a ride from somewhere in PA. Visit Constitutional Emergency at: http://patriotsforamerica.ning.com/?xg_source=msg_mes_network

Thank you, Louise - I will check into that.

I'm really hoping that we'll have many activities this year!

I believe that those who cannot go to Wash could organize and protest un their state and local governments, also provide areas of lodging, meals, etc for the traveling patriots. all across the nation.

Larry - that's a GREAT idea, and I will do just that!

OAS has my complete support and in fact I plan to be there. I don't know why its not supported by any and all patriots who know Obama needs to by ousted from the White House. You think sitting at home, reading about all this stuff is going to change anything? Obama has clearly demonstrated a ability to ignore bad press and carry on. He knows nothing is going to be done to stop him. If a president and a congress for that matter does not care about the constitution that keeps them in check what is there to keep them in check? Our constitution was written by men who lived in times where this kind of regime happened, they had lived through it and provided us a way to legally deal with it which is what OAS is going to do, or try to do. It needs massive support to succeed quickly and safely for those who are willing to make the sacrifice to be there, those that know it must be done, Americans that can't just sit and read or even write articles about all the bad that is happening, all the sins of the White House,  but must put boots on the ground and take literal action to force a change. This isn't a step anyone wants to have to do, it must be done. And any and all patriots that know what we know and still just sit and watch what happens on 16 May 2016 safely from their arm chair and don't take up the fight and stand side by side with their fellow American's in DC are even more guilty of the consequences, because you all KNOW BETTER, ARE NOT IGNORANT,  and still sat and did nothing.

Excellent response Margie, however, keep in mind that not all that have joined OAS are able to travel and do what they can in their own area.  Even if it is only to inspire others to get on board with us, this is also important for it is still getting the message out and still telling people what we are about.  Those that can be there and choose not to be, then in my book are NOT true PATRIOTS, but are afraid of what the consequences might be.  If that had been the case with our Founding Fathers then we would still be under Englands rule and thumb today!!!!  I feel sorry for those people, for they are nothing more than puppets!!!  Oh and I will see you in DC as I am the Team Lead for Delaware!

Everyone going to the OAS, be able to communicate if cell towers are overloaded.  FRS, CB or Amateur VHF/UHF Hand held radios.

just to let you all know that my letter was published in a local paper! (New Canaan Advertiser serving New Canaan, CT)
I received a notice from The Greenwich Post that they will publish it May 17th - both are weeklies.

My letter also got published in the Norwalk Hour.
Interestingly, someone must have looked up my home address, because they sent their response in the mail, with no return address. Sounds like they were a frustrated but low information liberal- comment was "There were more people at the marriage equality rally in Idaho!" and "Try listening to someone reasonable for a change"
The first comment was correct, the second, well they believe msm!

Horrible: Democrats Set The Constitution On Fire With Fraudulent Impeachment

House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning after an investigation that violated fundamental provisions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The investigation of the president began with the complaint of a so-called “whistleblower” who turned out to be a rogue Central Intelligence Agency employee, protected by a lawyer who had called for a “coup” against Trump in early 2017.

Democrats first demanded that the “whistleblower” be allowed to testify. But after House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was found to have lied about his committee’s contact with the “whistleblower,” and after details of the “whistleblower’s” bias began to leak, Democrats reversed course. In violation of the President Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to confront his accuser, Democrats refused to allow the “whistleblower” to testify. They argue the president’s procedural rights, even if they existed, would not apply until he was tried in the Senate — but they also invented a fraudulent “right to anonymity” that, they hope, might conceal the whistleblower even then.

Schiff began the “impeachment inquiry” in secret, behind the closed doors of the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) in the basement of the U.S. Capitol, even though none of the testimony was deemed classified. Few members of Congress were allowed access. Schiff allowed selective bits of testimony to leak to friendly media, while withholding transcripts of testimony.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), having allowed the secret process to unfold, legitimized it with a party-line vote authorizing the inquiry. The House resolution denied President Trump the procedural rights enjoyed by Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, and denied the minority party the traditional right to object to witnesses called by the majority.

Rather than the House Judiciary Committee, which traditionally handles impeachment, Pelosi also deputized the House Intelligence Committee to conduct fact-finding; the Judiciary Committee was turned into a rubber stamp. Schiff held a few public hearings, but often failed to release transcripts containing exculpatory evidence until after they had passed.

In the course of the Intelligence Committee’s investigation, Schiff quietly spied on the telephone records of his Republican counterpart, Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA). He also snooped on the phone records of a journalist, John Solomon; and on the phone records of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, acting as President Trump’s personal lawyer.

Schiff’s eavesdropping violated both the First Amendment right to press freedom and the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. Yet he proceeded undeterred by constitutional rights, publishing the phone logs in his committee’s report without warning, confirmation, or explanation, alleging that Nunes and the others were part of a conspiracy to assist the president’s allegedly impeachable conduct. When Republicans on the Judiciary Committee asked the Intelligence Committee’s majority counsel, Daniel Goldman, to explain the phone logs, he refused to answer,

Ironically, Schiff had done exactly what Democrats accuse Trump of doing: abused his power to dig up dirt on political opponents, then obstructed a congressional investigation into his party’s and his committee’s misconduct.

Democrats’ articles of impeachment include one for the dubious charge of “abuse of power,” which is not mentioned in the Constitution; and one for “obstruction of Congress,” which in this case is an abuse of power in itself.

Alexander Hamilton, writing about impeachment in Federalist 65, warned that “there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.” Democrats have fulfilled Hamilton’s worst fears.

The Trump impeachment will soon replace the 1868 impeachment of President Andrew Johnson — which the House Judiciary Committee staff actually cited as a positive precedent — as the worst in American history.

In service of their “coup,” Democrats have trampled the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Republic has never been in greater danger.

You don't get to interrupt me
