Mitch McConnell Leads Establishment Republicans in Effort to Push Roy Moore Out of Alabama Race

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and several other Republican senators said on Thursday that if allegations of misconduct are true, Alabama Senate Republican candidate Judge Roy Moore should drop out of the race.

The Washington Post released a story on Thursday alledging that Roy Moore initiated a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl when he was 32, as well as other cases of sexual misconduct.

In a written statement, Moore denied the allegations.

“These allegations are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the Washington Post on this campaign,” Moore said.

Axios has compiled the calls for Moore to step aside.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said, “If these allegations are true, he must step aside.”

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) argued, “If there is any shred of truth to the allegations against Roy Moore, he should step aside immediately.”

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) said, “If there is any truth at all to these horrific allegations, Roy Moore should immediately step aside as a Senate candidate.”

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) said, “I’m horrified and if this is true he needs to step down immediately.” Murkowski also said that she spoke to Luther Strange about becoming a write-in challenger to oppose Moore in the December 12 election.

Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) said, “It was very troubling … if what we read is true and people are on the record so I assume it is,” adding that “Moore should step aside.”

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) tweeted on Thursday, “The allegations against Roy Moore are deeply disturbing and disqualifying. He should immediately step aside and allow the people of Alabama to elect a candidate they can be proud of.”

Roy Moore defeated Sen. Luther Strange (R-AL) in the primary run-off in September to replace former Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), who now serves as U.S. attorney general.

The Roy Moore campaign said in a subsequent statement that if the allegations were true, they would have surfaced during his previous campaigns. “This garbage is the very definition of fake news,” he added.

Alabama TV Station Can’t Find a Single Person Who Believes Vicious WaPo Hit Piece on Judge Roy Moore (Video)

Alabama Judge Roy Moore won the Republican senate primary to replace Jeff Sessions in September.

Judge Moore is a conservative favorite. Establishment Republicans fear him.

On Thursday the far left Washington Post published a vicious hit piece on Judge Moore one month before the Alabama election for US Senator to replace Jeff Sessions.
The WaPo accused Moore of a sexual scandal from 38 years ago.

Judge Moore has denied the charges.

Now this…

Breitbart.com reported:

During a segment that aired on Friday’s broadcast of Birmingham, AL ABC affiliate WBMA 33/40’s 5 p.m. local news, political reporter Lauren Walsh sought out voters in Columbiana, AL to gauge their reactions to the Washington Post report that alleged Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Roy Moore engaged in inappropriate conduct with four teenage girls more than 34 years ago.

None of the respondents according to Walsh told her they believed the Post’s reporting.

“It’s hard to believe the events that transpired yesterday,” Gordon Fluker of nearby Wilsonville, AL said to Walsh about the Washington Post report.

Fluker’s response was the standard according to Walsh.

When RINOS AttacK

Yes, it’s once again that we have yet another reason to thank the people of Kentucky for their willingness to send back to the Senate someone who, together with Paul Ryan, is one of the most useless assholes, politically speaking, on the planet. Because instead of assisting in the defense of one of our Republican candidates against what are, most assuredly, nothing more than scurrilous accusations, what do we see old McConnell trying to do? Nothing more than to try to exact a little revenge by torpedoing the man who defeated the candidate he endorsed in the primary.

It would seem that in his rush to judgement, McConnell has assembled a few of those usual suspects, his fellow RINOs, one of which is John McCain, of all people, and announced that if allegations of misconduct are true, Alabama Senate Republican candidate Judge Roy Moore should drop out of the race. Well duh, but it would seem that McConnell and his buddy, braindead McCain, are unwilling to wait to see if they’re true as they are already calling for the Judge to step aside. Might that be because the Judge would be someone unwilling to go along with the RINOs, if elected?

Anyway, as most should already know, the rag known as ‘The Washington Post’ released a story earlier this week alleging that Judge Moore initiated a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl when he was 32, as well as other cases of sexual misconduct. In a written statement, Moore denied those allegations. That statement said in part: “These allegations are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the Washington Post on this campaign.” While this smear is so completely transparent, it should not have been unexpected.

But the Judge’s statement apparently wasn’t sufficient for McConnell and his band of RINOs. McConnell said, “If these allegations are true, he must step aside.” And of course right behind him was fellow RINO Jeff Flake, who stated, “If there is any shred of truth to the allegations against Roy Moore, he should step aside immediately.” And yet another longtime RINO, Susan Collins, said, “If there is any truth at all to these horrific allegations, Roy Moore should immediately step aside as a Senate candidate.” These clowns would like nothing better than for the Democrat to win this election.

And joining in the chorus we have other RINOs now crawling out from under their individual rocks to join in the slandering of Judge Moore. It was none other than Lisa Murkowski who went so far as to say, “I’m horrified and if this is true he needs to step down immediately.” Murkowski also said that she has already spoken to Luther Strange about becoming a write-in challenger to oppose Moore in the December 12 election. RINO Rob Portman said, “It was very troubling … if what we read is true and people are on the record so I assume it is,” adding that “Moore should step aside.”

And then we have he who is perhaps the biggest fraud of all, John McCain, who tweeted on Thursday, “The allegations against Roy Moore are deeply disturbing and disqualifying. He should immediately step aside and allow the people of Alabama to elect a candidate they can be proud of.” A candidate we can be proud of? Like we’re all so proud of you, you lying sack of shit? Over the years McCain has become little more than a sick joke, and to be honest, I am literally counting the days until I see the headline track across the bottom of my television screen that he is finally dead.

I’ve always been told that you can judge a man by the caliber of his enemies. And if we take a closer look at those now calling for Judge Moore to abandon this Senate race, it’s a rather unscrupulous and rancid bunch that we come up with. McConnell, Flake, Collins, Murkowski, Portman and McCain, RINOs all. Not a true conservative in the bunch and yet we’re just supposed to follow the recommendation of these swamp creatures, that Judge Moore needs to now throw in the towel? Really? There is absolutely nothing about that that would make any amount of sense. Nothing!

Oh, and we can now add another name to our list of RINOs calling for the Judge to step aside. That would be none other than failed RINO candidate for president, Mitt Romney, who’s quite willing to take part in this slandering of Judge Moore, where the accused is put in the impossible position of trying to prove a negative. I’m ashamed I ever voted for Romney, or McCain. Of course our ‘Establishment’ RINOs want Moore to step aside. If they can't beat conservatives in the primary elections, then they will do whatever they feel needs to be done in order to maintain their control of the GOP.

Look, I think it’s pretty clear what’s really underway here, and it’s nothing more than a coordinated, and even quite possibly a preemptive, strike against Judge Moore because he dared to run against McConnell’s handpicked candidate, Luther Strange, in the primary run-off back in September and was able to defeat him, and pretty handily so. Judge Moore’s campaign said in a subsequent statement that if the allegations were true, they would have surfaced during his previous campaigns. And he added, “This garbage is the very definition of fake news.” And on that point I would agree!

It would seem that there is now no level to which our RINOs in Congress will not sink in their effort not only to sabotage the Trump Presidency, but to also ensure that come 2018 they will be able to willingly hand over control of Congress to the Democrats. Which I can only assume must now be their ‘Priority One’. Because our Republicans in Congress, who have been handed control of both houses, have once again chosen to squander yet another opportunity handed to them by the people. And what have the people gotten in return? Nothing, they’ve just gotten SCREWED!

This is a perfect example of just how little these ‘Establishment’ politicians care about the forgotten men and women of this country. And quite frankly it doesn’t matter if they have a ‘D’ or an ‘R’ after their names because they're all from ‘The Swamp.’ The attacks on Moore are obviously politically motivated since there haven't been any past allegations until after he'd won the primary. It's no surprise that McConnell and the other usual RINO suspects are piling on the Judge. After all, behaving as they now are is much easier than doing what they were elected to do.

Republican voters must fully prepare themselves for the attacks that will surely be coming not only from the Democrats, but also those we now know will be coming from those within our own party. As 2018 creeps closer it will be all manner of “accusers” that will be crawling out of the woodwork. It's all the RINOs and their Democrat compatriots have left. It’s in this latest scam that we have to hope Alabama voters will see through the timing of these false accusations. Such tactics didn’t work against Trump, nor will fake ‘Weinstein-like’ accusations work against the Judge.

The RINO's involved in this little charade are easily as corrupt as the Democrats. They all need to be gotten rid of. I’m sure that they’re hoping to convince the good people of Alabama, or at least enough of them, not to vote for Judge Moore. They figure the voters in Alabama are too stupid see what it is that they are actually up to. I only ask the voters not to allow themselves to be fooled by what is so very obviously a politically motivated hit job. And the RINOs should not be allowed to get away with it! Voters must stand strong against this blatant attempt to influence an election.

And besides, if the Judge steps aside it will only serve to encourage these RINOs, and their Democrat allies, to dig up even more supposed victims to accuse every conservative candidate of this crap, all in their effort to maintain their status quo. So there’s really only one of two ways to go on this. You can either wilt under what are clearly false accusations, or you stand and fight fire with fire. Personally, I’m for fighting fire with fire. Because that’s really all these ‘swamp’ creatures understand. They’re far more concerned about winning at any cost, because they can’t win on the issues.

I have not found any pdf documents where he has been charged with a crime, there was something about when he was 30 years old he dated a girl that was 17. The media created a gossip channel, that he was dating teenage girls.

So far nothing but media released gossip.

McConnell has proven his stripes over and over again. Don't understand why they do not push him out, unless they are all protecting each other's rotten butts.

GOP sold out long ago, the Grand Old Party, now I think its called RNC, and you can find GOP right along with the RNC- DNC for TPA Legislation, the Obama Clinton UK UN< GOP ya da ya da ya da....!

My, I all most created funny.................LOL Tif

Sigh, so 41 years later, all these women gang up as one, in order to protest the violations of their innocence from 41 years ago, and it just so happens to coincide with an election of a true Bible thumping kick butt Christian into the federal swamp of d.c, along with the swamp of globalists, crooks (oh, all of them) and demons/repubs. Sigh, I suppose, it could just be for real. Maybe he really did. I mean, his wife is younger.

Well, maybe that's enough, plus he signed a high school yearbook, and according to Laura Ingraham, who turned on him early, that's just weird.

Otherwise, I have this to say.

BULLSHIT.

It is a political takedown, just like they did with Clarence Thomas and Herman Caine. Both stand UP Christian fighters.

I agree Jeanine.

I'm pretty hesitant to defend Moore against the accusations. I wasn't there and don't know the man other than what has been in the news the past few years. I liked his stand on the ten commandments like most others have, and like his role as the anti-establishment candidate a lot. That doesn't mean I'm gonna by default know that he's innocent of the accusations though.

imo - this is an example of 'motive matters. The establishment Rs are all chiming in on script and on queue and their motive is obvious, and it matters. imo - it's THE top priority that their motive is thwarted... as much as I'd hate it if he's guilty of the accusations.

And I likewise, 9th, agree right back with you. Whatever the traitor McConnell wants, is wrong for this country. And especially with no proof.

Yes motive matters

This is starting to fall apart, the media against him, I do not know all the facts, but I do find this interesting.

Here we go..no opportunity ever missed

Media Matters using Roy Moore allegations to smear Sean Hannity with false claims of defending child sex abuse

Media Matters is now using the salacious allegations against Judge Roy Moore to smear Fox News host Sean Hannity to his advertisers with false claims that he defends child sex abuse, the Daily Caller reported Sunday.

According to Peter Hasson:

Moore is accused of making sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl while he was a 32-year-old attorney, in addition to pursuing romantic (although not sexual) relationships with other teenage girls around the same time.

Media Matters operatives are smearing Hannity to his sponsors, accusing him of defending child sex abuse. (Hannity has explicitly said that anyone guilty of what Moore is accused of doing has no place in politics.)

Media Matters helped pressure several advertisers into pulling their ads from “Hannity” over the weekend. In one instance, Angelo Carusone, Media Matters’ president, tagged a sponsor of Hannity’s show while claiming that Hannity defends “sexually preying on children.”

The coffee company Keurig announced that it would pull its ads from Hannity’s program:

As a result, many have decided to boycott Keurig and a number of people have actually destroyed their coffee makers.

A post at The Red Elephants noted:

The hashtag #BoycottKeurig was trending Sunday after outraged Sean Hannity fans learned that Keurig pulled ads from his Fox News show over his coverage of the sexual misconduct allegations levied at Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore.

Hannity had Moore as a guest on his radio show and urged his listeners not to rush to judgement on Moore, as his accuser curiously has connections to the Clinton campaign.  Following these remarks, Keurig ‘rushed to judgment’ and pulled their ads from the Hannity show.

Well, Hannity fans took to twitter to show their support for the Fox host by posting videos of them smashing their Keurig machines and vowing to boycott the company.  Many of them urging everyone else to follow-suit with coming holiday season.

TEA PARTY -> Lois Lerner Case Explodes:
IRS Docs Link McCain’s Office To Tea Party Attacks

Since announcing his brain cancer was terminal, Arizon Sen. John McCain has continued to make headlines, but not due to his medical status. Instead, it has been one controversy after another revolving around him, and now one more had been added to the list.

This one is based in his dislike not for Ted Cruz or Rand Paul, but of the tea party.

McCain has never really endeared himself to conservatives, and he made his feeling public about the tea party movement at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor in 2015, according to a Yahoo report.

“I think also — I probably shouldn’t say this — but some of (the tea party) appeals to the bad angels of our nature rather than the better angels of our nature,” McCain said.

This attitude ties into the latest scandal swirling around McCain.

One of a number of scandals that plagued President Barack Obama and his administration involved the IRS targeting tea party groups after 2010. It seemed that their tax-exempt status requests were denied or delayed due to intense political partisanship in the agency.

In May 2013, The Washington Post reported that the IRS’s exempt-organizations division director Lois Lerner “let slip” the week prior “that low-level IRS staffers had focused extra scrutiny on conservative groups with words such as ‘tea party’ or ‘patriot’ in their names.”

In addition, “internal reviews have shown that Lerner knew about the targeting in 2011 — but neither Congress nor the public knew until (2013).” Despite this, Lerner was never prosecuted and was allowed to retire with her taxpayer-funded pension intact.

This did not change, even after House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady, a Texas Republican, and Tax Policy Subcommittee Chairman Peter Roskam, an Illinois Republican, wrote a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions. In it, they begged him to reopen a probe into the matter, according to Jay Sekulow, chief council for the American Center for Law and Justice, writing in a commentary for Fox News.

When President Donald Trump was sworn into office, some held out hope that the perceived injustices from Obama’s tenure would somehow be made right. However, in September 2017, Trump’s administration had already preemptively declined to pursue criminal charges against Lerner “based on the available evidence,” according to Fox News.

But more has since been uncovered about the scandal. Government watchdog group Judicial Watch has obtained and released “internal IRS documents, including material revealing that Sen. John McCain’s former staff director and chief counsel on the Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee, Henry Kerner, urged top IRS officials, including then-director of exempt organizations Lois Lerner, to “audit so many that it becomes financially ruinous.”

Judicial Watch dd0e

JW President @TomFitton: Much of what you know about the IRS scandal is thanks to JW... Our new docs show the scandal is bipartisan in nature. A McCain staffer suggested Lois Lerner audit all of the 501(c)(4) groups in a way that'd be financially ruinous.

Meeting notes from April 30, 2013, involving Kerner, Lerner, “and other high-ranking IRS officials” were obtained by JW. With the meeting taking place only 10 days before the IRS scandal exploded into the public view, they are particularly incriminating against Kerner and Lerner:

“Henry Kerner asked how to get to the abuse of organizations claiming section 501 (c)(4) but designed to be primarily political. Lois Lerner said the system works, but not in real time.”

“Henry Kerner noted that these organizations don’t disclose donors. Lois Lerner said that if they don’t meet the requirements, we can come in and revoke, but it doesn’t happen timely.”

“Nan Marks said if the concern is that organizations engaging in this activity don’t disclose donors, then the system doesn’t work. Henry Kerner said that maybe the solution is to audit so many that it is financially ruinous. Nikole noted that we have budget constraints.”

“Elise Bean suggested using the list of organizations that made independent expenditures. Lois Lerner said that it is her job to oversee it all, not just political campaign activity.”

Thus far, there is no evidence that McCain knew about or directed Kerner to take such action. It is plausible that Kerner, knowing of McCain’s dislike of the tea party, opted to be a proactive and loyal staffer by urging the IRS to take action against the groups.

But McCain’s personality does little to keep him far removed from the scandal and tongues are wagging with speculation as to his involvement. Regardless, McCain’s frosty relationship with President Donald Trump has not made the Arizona senator many fans among Trump supporters.

New suspicions about him betraying the tea party won’t help matters at all.

OMG

Chelsea Handler Says Fox Doesn’t Work With
Black People, Obviously Doesn’t Watch Network

Humor is supposed to be based on truth. After all, the reason we laugh at a joke or scenario is because it triggers a feeling of recognition about reality, especially if it’s presented in an unexpected way.

It doesn’t look like “comedian” Chelsea Handler has a very firm grasp on truth or reality, however.

After a production error during a Fox News broadcast was called out by users on Twitter, the raunchy and sex-obsessed Handler tried to bash the network … but ended up showing off her ignorance instead.

“Fox News honored Aretha Franklin by using a graphic that contained a photo of Patti LaBelle,” the comedian and television host posted on Twitter Thursday evening.

That part was true enough: Fox admitted that they made a mistake on a background slide during a tribute to the late soul singer, and accidentally showed a faded photo of LaBelle. The main image still showed Franklin, who passed away on Thursday in Detroit.

Broadcast television is complex, which you would think Handler understands after being involved in TV for many years. Honest mistakes happen on every network. But no: In Handler’s alternate reality, the only explanation for the mistake was racism.

“It’s probably hard for anyone who works at Fox News to tell black people apart because they’ve never worked with any,” she declared.

Chelsea Handler  @chelseahandler

Fox News honored Aretha Franklin by using a graphic that contained a photo of Patti LaBelle. It’s probably hard for anyone who works at Fox News to tell black people apart because they’ve never worked with any.

Was she trying to be bitter or funny? It was hard to tell, but either way, that statement shows just how isolated the Hollywood left is from reality.

If she really believes that Fox has “never worked with any” black people, maybe she should try an experiment: Actually watch the channel for a minute.

She would probably tune in to the face of Harris Faulkner, the enthusiastic and Emmy-winning host of “Outnumbered,” which airs every single weekday.

Or, maybe she could get a clue from Deneen Borelli, another well-known face of Fox News for nearly a decade. How about the venerable Juan Williams, co-host of “The Five” and a “Fox News Sunday” regular for over 20 years?

Nah. They apparently don’t count, because Handler would rather live in an alternate reality of ignorance than admit she was the one making racial assumptions.

We’re not finished! Moving on to frequent guest contributors to Fox News, how about Candace Owens? Brandon Tatum? Ben Carson? Larry Elder? All of these smart individuals are familiar faces at Fox, and all are — look closely! — African American.

That’s saying nothing of the behind-the-scenes staff at Fox, a good number of whom are of course black. In fact, it’s completely possible the photo mix-up was accidentally made by a black employee. Handler openly assumed the race of the staff members who made the error, while knowing nothing.

Once again, the left has tipped their hand and revealed just how elitist and out of touch they are.

Handler has likely never turned on Fox News in her life, yet she thinks she’s an expert on it. She eagerly diminishes and waves away the contributions of black Americans to one of the most popular news stations in the nation, while lecturing others about race.

This type of attitude implies that only “liberal approved” black voices count. If they don’t parrot a 43-year-old white comedian’s politics, they’re invisible to her.

That arrogant view, and not an honest editing mistake, is perhaps the real outrage here … and it’s exactly why so many black voters are walking away from the left.
