MILLENNIALS REJECT CAPITALISM SHOULD AMERICA DO THE SAME?

America is great in part because of capitalism. However, the Millennials reject the free enterprise system but offer nothing in it's place. Therefore, the government will fill that void.   Do you agree?

Chalk it up to the dismal job public education does teaching young people about history, economics, and politics.

From The Washington Post:

In an apparent rejection of the basic principles of the U.S. economy, a new poll shows that most young people do not support capitalism.

The Harvard University survey, which polled young adults between ages 18 and 29, found that 51 percent of respondents do not support capitalism. Just 42 percent said they support it.

It isn’t clear that the young people in the poll would prefer some alternative system, though. Just 33 percent said they supported socialism. The survey had a margin of error of 2.4 percentage points.

The survey, however, is misleading. The United States economy is not capitalist in the true sense of the word.

Instead, it is a crony capitalist economic system dominated by large multinational corporations that buy politicians, establish monopolies, and rely on state intervention to eliminate competitors and gain special privileges in regard to regulation and taxation.

It may also be viewed as a corporatist system, a partnership between private corporations and the state. The father of modern fascism, Benito Mussolini, described fascism as a corporatist system.

True capitalism is based on laissez-faire economics, a free market, private enterprise and, contrary to the system in place today, a strict separation of state and business.

“A purely capitalist economy ought to have the following characteristics: private ownership of the means of production and capital; low levels of taxation and regulation; competition unfettered by subsidies, bailouts, and protectionism; and the free flow of goods, services, and capital both domestically and internationally,” writes Marian L. Tupy. “Lastly, and here the government does have a crucial role to play, a capitalist economy ought to have an independent and efficacious judiciary that protects life, liberty, and property, and punishes fraud and theft.”

America should reject the rest of the world

AMERICA FIRST  1

Wouldn't you think for America to be first is for us to have more liberty?

Our Judeo-Christian Nation United States of America was built on Capitalism and the Holy Bible!!

Love Always and Shalom Everyone,

Kristi

First off I do not listen and read anything that Alex Jones writes as this op-ed above. He scares me like Scientology. But this definition was good ,I think.

It is not about the definition, it is about the Millennials being so damned propagandized/brainwashed as to be neutered of their own opinions. This sets up all kinds of voids for the filling of their pastry heads with the wrong  fillings. AND DONT THINK THAT THE ONES DOING THIS DONT KNOW IT...

It is high time for all Americans to get involved in the PTA again and a fervent involvement. A in their face involvement. A we will not take no for an answer involvement....We also need to be in the Pizza places and beer pubs and burger joints to 'grass roots' their brains and purge them of this malevolence...

The survey may be flawed but it proves an important point which is that academia, in collusion with government and media, have effectively indoctrinated multiple generations of our youth while we thought they were at school getting an education. Instead, they were being brainwashed by the enemies of America, those enemies being liberals, communists, and socialists, all of whom HATE America and its historical adherence to capitalism.

This will be a challenge to reverse for as a salesman of many years, I have found that the biggest challenge I faced in sales, after establishing trust, was to change a person's mind or attitude. Once people have a belief system in place, they are reluctant to change as they have developed a commitment to their beliefs. Any effort to change that belief system can threaten their world so they naturally resist change. It is why communists wanted to gain control of our educational system for they knew that if they could create a system whereby children were taught from an early age that capitalism is evil, whites are racist, and government is good, the children would accept that indoctrination without even questioning those premises.

This survey proves that their indoctrination has been extremely effective for we now have a large portion of our youth who actually believe that BS to the point where they will defy any effort to correct the lies they were fed, even to the point of becoming violent in their defense as OWS has proven repeatedly.

In the end, we must remove all communists, socialists, and liberals from positions of power for they have demonstrated by their actions that they are all committed to the destruction of our society and our economy.  If we do not remove them from positions of authority and power, they will continue to indoctrinate our children until one day our own children will turn on us as the Hitler Jugen turned on their parents, family, and friends after being effectively brainwashed by the lies and propaganda of Goebels and Hitler.

Mike, you hit several good points in that but I would add fascism to the list also making it all the authoritarians out there.

I wouldn't say whites are racist but I would say people are but it's not really racism which is the problem, it's authoritarian collectivism. Racism is when one race works as a collective or tries to create a collective of hate or anger towards another race (group). About the only difference with Authoritarian collectivism is race is not an issue but it's still about hate or anger towards another group.

John, clearly we have similar perceptions of those enemies of America which is important.  Keep in touch.

Who is going to pay for all those illegal aliens if no one has any money to pay taxes?

HERE'S A SCARY THOUGHT; What will the generation be like following the millennials!? And what will become of America!?

As a nation we are going to be tested this November on what we want to believe.

Do we want to believe the Government is the answer, if so vote for Hillary (Hildabeast)

Do we believe in rugged individualism, if so vote for Trump (Trumpster)

Therefore, is the government your master or are you your master?

Tea Party says: F*ck the government, we rule!

I am a millennial and the problem starts at the school level... When I was in school EVERYTHING was liberal biased... Naturally I identified as a democrat and even "supported" Obama as he was the "cool" choice... it wasn't til just this year (first year without school) I could look at the issues and saw just how wrong everything I learned was... My generation is young and only has what they learned in schools to base their opinions off of...

For me once I looked at history my while views completely changed... The notion that capitalism is bad is exactly what you would think if you attended our schools! Everything in terms of politics was a lie... The good news is if someone like me can wake up there is lots of hope for my generation to wake up and see past the lies that we grew up believing...

All I needed to know to become conservative was the fact EVERY great moment in our nations history was done under strong "conservative" leadership... I put that in quotation marks because I think its a misconception... To me what we believe as tea party patriots is the Constitutional Values in which ALLOW minorities, misfits, and everyday people like myself to be voicing my opinion this very minute and being heard.

Back to the point.... Schools tell us that capitalism is about greed... I was taught to see the people who built this country as money hungry pigs when infact it was through the jobs they created that gave the citizens of this country the means to support their families.. I was taught conservative beliefs were corrupt because they suported business yet was never taught that through businesses THATS where my parents and their parents got the most social benefits...

Bottom line capitalism is the single greatest thing and IS the American Dream... While hopeful my generation wakes up I am also sympathetic as this is how we were taught..

Horrible: Democrats Set The Constitution On Fire With Fraudulent Impeachment

House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning after an investigation that violated fundamental provisions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The investigation of the president began with the complaint of a so-called “whistleblower” who turned out to be a rogue Central Intelligence Agency employee, protected by a lawyer who had called for a “coup” against Trump in early 2017.

Democrats first demanded that the “whistleblower” be allowed to testify. But after House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was found to have lied about his committee’s contact with the “whistleblower,” and after details of the “whistleblower’s” bias began to leak, Democrats reversed course. In violation of the President Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to confront his accuser, Democrats refused to allow the “whistleblower” to testify. They argue the president’s procedural rights, even if they existed, would not apply until he was tried in the Senate — but they also invented a fraudulent “right to anonymity” that, they hope, might conceal the whistleblower even then.

Schiff began the “impeachment inquiry” in secret, behind the closed doors of the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) in the basement of the U.S. Capitol, even though none of the testimony was deemed classified. Few members of Congress were allowed access. Schiff allowed selective bits of testimony to leak to friendly media, while withholding transcripts of testimony.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), having allowed the secret process to unfold, legitimized it with a party-line vote authorizing the inquiry. The House resolution denied President Trump the procedural rights enjoyed by Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, and denied the minority party the traditional right to object to witnesses called by the majority.

Rather than the House Judiciary Committee, which traditionally handles impeachment, Pelosi also deputized the House Intelligence Committee to conduct fact-finding; the Judiciary Committee was turned into a rubber stamp. Schiff held a few public hearings, but often failed to release transcripts containing exculpatory evidence until after they had passed.

In the course of the Intelligence Committee’s investigation, Schiff quietly spied on the telephone records of his Republican counterpart, Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA). He also snooped on the phone records of a journalist, John Solomon; and on the phone records of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, acting as President Trump’s personal lawyer.

Schiff’s eavesdropping violated both the First Amendment right to press freedom and the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. Yet he proceeded undeterred by constitutional rights, publishing the phone logs in his committee’s report without warning, confirmation, or explanation, alleging that Nunes and the others were part of a conspiracy to assist the president’s allegedly impeachable conduct. When Republicans on the Judiciary Committee asked the Intelligence Committee’s majority counsel, Daniel Goldman, to explain the phone logs, he refused to answer,

Ironically, Schiff had done exactly what Democrats accuse Trump of doing: abused his power to dig up dirt on political opponents, then obstructed a congressional investigation into his party’s and his committee’s misconduct.

Democrats’ articles of impeachment include one for the dubious charge of “abuse of power,” which is not mentioned in the Constitution; and one for “obstruction of Congress,” which in this case is an abuse of power in itself.

Alexander Hamilton, writing about impeachment in Federalist 65, warned that “there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.” Democrats have fulfilled Hamilton’s worst fears.

The Trump impeachment will soon replace the 1868 impeachment of President Andrew Johnson — which the House Judiciary Committee staff actually cited as a positive precedent — as the worst in American history.

In service of their “coup,” Democrats have trampled the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Republic has never been in greater danger.

You don't get to interrupt me
