'My wish is that you will be disruptors'

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi

Did House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi have anything to do with the riot Wednesday night on the campus of the University of California at Berkeley in response to a planned talk by Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos.

Talk host Michael Savage, who aired a clip from Pelosi’s 2014 commencement address at the university, thinks so.

“Being called a disruptor is a high compliment,” Pelosi said in the speech. “You here at Berkeley are already disruptors in many ways.”

She closed with: “My wish is that you will be disruptors when necessary, and that you enjoy every moment of it.”

Savage commented on his show Thursday: “Now you know who was behind what happened at Berkeley last night.

“Don’t look any further than the leadership in San Francisco for what happened. The question is, where is the new leadership going to come from?

Savage noted that in the 1960s, the president of San Francisco State College stood up on a car during a campus protest, waved his hat and yelled at the students, telling them to go home.

“And he stopped the riots. He was hero-worshipped for it,” Savage said.

“Where are those men today?”

Wednesday night, the planned talk by Yiannopoulos was canceled after violent protesters hurled smoke bombs, broke windows and started a bonfire outside the building where he was to appear.

Last week, Savage reveled in the first week of the Trump administra... as a whirlwind of executive orders began dismantling President Obama’s progressive legacy.

“Everything we ever dreamed of happening is now happening,” Savage told his listeners after airing a live feed of Trump’s remarks at the White House regarding executive orders to advance the building of a wall on the Mexican border and to penalize cities that refuse to enforce federal immigration laws.

Savage’s message of borders, language and culture was a fixture in the campaign of the real estate billionaire, who was a frequent guest on Savage’s show. Savage has described his latest book, “Scorched Earth: Restoring the Country After Obama,” as “an architectural plan for Trump.”

Not one single socialist DEM even condemned the riots in Berkeley. Not one. Robert Moron Reisch actually blamed it on a secret right-wing group. What a brain dead DEM he's always been.

These DEMs all have blood on their miserable hands. The far-far left wing anarchist group (ANTIFA) were the actual culprits on that Berkeley campus. They had also teamed up with BLM for riots in Baltimore. These same animals will be causing their havoc on February 20th in front of Trump Towers in NYC. And who do you think is funding these criminals? Yup, the infamous GS!

The Berkeley campus police did absolutely nothing, accept to protect the insane communist instructors inside the building. These keystone cops were all dressed up in their riot gear, but basically did nothing to prevent the destruction. They said that they told the students to disperse, but the Anarchists simply laughed at them. Students (mostly GOP and Trump supporters) were injured. One girl had her faced sprayed with pepper spray, just because she happened to be wearing her red, 'Make America Great' hat.

I say, these Anarchist animals need to face a real confrontation, (not the usual unprepared and unarmed people). Ones that they'll never forget,....or will only leave the scene of their crimes, - horizontal.....

Maybe it's time to take a page out of Ronald Reagan's playbook:

FLASHBACK: Here's How Ronald Reagan Handled Berkeley Protesters

On Wednesday night, violent protesters at the University of California, Berkeley shut down the free speech of a scheduled conservative speaker by rioting, committing arson, destroying property and pepper spraying innocent Trump supporters in attendance. There was indeed a police presence, but there was no reason for them being there, as the officers were seemingly handcuffed by authorities from actually acting on the violent thugs.

As summed up nicely by vile leftist Debra Messing in a celebratory tweet, the violent rioting from leftist thugs "worked": free speech was successfully suppressed due to the violent actions of the "tolerant" left.

VIDEORight-wing speaker at Berkeley canceled after protests

After the fact, President Donald Trump reacted to the insanity by issuing a tweet suggesting he might revoke federally funding from the university if free speech continues to be suppressed.

If U.C. Berkeley does not allow free speech and practices violence on innocent people with a different point of view - NO FEDERAL FUNDS?

But how have past state and local officials handled disorderly protesters in the past? When Ronald Reagan was serving as governor of California in 1969, he was faced with student protesters on the Berkeley campus who refused to follow the rule of law; their protest eventually morphed into a riot. Reagan's approach in handling such students was no-nonsense, to put it mildly.

Berkeley.edu reports

Students and activists had begun an attempt to transform a vacant plot of university property into "People's Park." Attempting to head off the activists, the university engaged a fencing company, accompanied by 250 police, to erect a chain-link fence around the land at 4 a.m. on May 15, 1969. Five hours later, a rally was called on Sproul Plaza to protest the action. Resource, a current UC Berkeley reference guide for new students, relates the story of how Reagan intervened, sending in the National Guard:

"The rally, which drew 3,000 people, soon turned into a riot, as the crowd moved down Telegraph (Ave.) towards the park. That day, known as Bloody Thursday, three students suffered punctured lungs, another a shattered leg, 13 people were hospitalized with shotgun wounds, and one police officer was stabbed. James Rector, who was watching the riot from a rooftop, was shot by police gunfire; he died four days later.

"At the request of the Berkeley mayor, Governor Ronald Reagan declared a state of emergency and sent 2,200 National Guard troops into Berkeley. Some of these guardsmen were even Cal students. At least one young man had participated in the riots, been shot at by police, gotten patched up, and then returned to his dorm to find a notice to report for guard duty. In the following days approximately 1,000 people were arrested: 200 were booked for felonies, and 500 were taken to Santa Rita jail."

The contrast between Reagan's approach with that of California officials in 2017 couldn't be more stark.

Marilyn, here's perhaps your most salient point, "When Ronald Reagan was serving as GOVERNOR of California in 1969, he was faced with student protesters on the Berkeley campus who refused to follow the rule of law; their protest eventually morphed into a riot. Reagan's approach in handling such students was no-nonsense, to put it mildly." Pres. Trump IS NOT the governor of CA and therefore has no grounds to send in the STATE NATIONAL GUARD as GOV. REAGAN did. In addition, I doubt that the liberal Mayor of Berkeley or governor of CA would ask for federal help, which it likely couldn't due to the Posse Comitatus laws without such a request.

So withholding federal funds from the university would be an excellent approach in as much as there's reason to believe the university didn't adequately protect the scheduled meeting, intentionally. That could include stopping all federal loans to students and all federal research grants. Lest some believe that unlawful, the federal government did that to PRIVATE universities that defied liberal policies at Bob Jones University and Grove City College.

Everything you said-yes, it is disgraceful what is going on in this country.

And not ONE Dem...

Totally agree!

the entire demon rat party is guilty of this and  the rinos too...this is far from over...massive draining of the swamp needs to happen very soon.

WE have seen the COMMUNIST HAMMER and SICKLE FLAGS and BANNERS at these RIOTS, and the BLACK FLAGS of the ANARCHISTS,along with other ANTI-AMERICAN symbols calling for all forms of "ILLEGAL ACTIVITY" against our GOVERNMENT !!!!!

OF COURSE The MEDIA and RIOTERS WILL CALL US FACISTS for doing so. ( they do it anyway) but when we are at the point of such TREASON and SEDITION, we must ACT NOW to prevent a SPREAD of COMMUNIST REVOLUTION HERE IN AMERICA !!!!

Excellent! You should get with the Trump team.

Totally agree! I am a Trumper!

When campus police chose not to protect students or facilities but chose to stand by and do nothing then the Feds should be sent in and that campus closed down.

Nancy Pelosi needs to be arrested and cited for inciting riot... the Police at Berkley should be FIRED and new officers willing to defend the public's safety at mind hired.  The Chancellor of Berkley should be terminated and the school closed for the remainder of the School year... no one graduates until next year and only then if the University conducts itself lawfully.

She will never be arrested, unfortunately. her husband owns Star Kist Tuna and endless other enterprises that keep her in the style she has become accustomed to. She is speaking like she understands the 'everyday' American's plight but that couldn't be further from the truth; she is an elite puppet master of the people she serves and very far removed from anything 'everyday' Americans experience! Just look how she handled being questioned by the mom of a child killed by an illegal! Disgraceful answers! Claiming 'sanctuary' cities are safe! Where has she been? look at the carnage in Chicago and near our southern border! Such a shame they don't realize she has a mental deficit!

Breaking — West Virginia Lawmakers Invite Persecuted Pro-Second Amendment Counties In Virginia To Join Their State

West Virginia lawmakers introduced legislation to invite persecuted pro Second Amendment Counties to join their state.

The West Virginia Senate adopted a resolution to remind Virginia residents from Frederick County that they have a standing invite — from 1862 — to become part of West Virginia.

West Virginia freedom fighters broke away from Virginia Democrat slave owners during the Civil War.

This week West Virginia has once again invited persecuted Virginia pro 2-A counties to come join their state.

Sounds like a winning plan!

Resolution 8 reads as follows:

(By Delegates Howell, Summers, Shott, Householder, C. Martin, Hott, Graves, Cadle, Barnhart, J. Jeffries, Maynard, Phillips, Foster, Hamrick, Steele, D. Jeffries, Wilson, Waxman, Bartlett, Paynter, Linville, Sypolt, Bibby, Hill, Ellington, Higginbotham, J. Kelly, Mandt, Pack, Dean and P. Martin)

[Introduced January 14, 2020]

Providing for an election to be had, pending approval of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and a majority of qualified citizens voting upon the proposition prior to August 1, 2020, for the admission of certain counties and independent cities of the Commonwealth of Virginia to be admitted to the State of West Virginia as constituent counties, under the provisions of Article VI, Section 11 of the Constitution of West Virginia

Whereas, The Legislature of West Virginia finds that in 1863, due to longstanding perceived attitudes of neglect for the interests of the citizens of Western Virginia, and a studied failure to address the differences which had grown between the counties of Western Virginia and the government at Richmond, the Commonwealth of Virginia was irretrievably divided, and the new State of West Virginia was formed; and

Whereas, Such division occurred as the Trans-Allegheny portions of Virginia perceived that they suffered under an inequitable measure of taxation by which they bore a disproportionate share of the tax burden; and

Whereas, That this perception was further compounded by the effects of a scheme of representation by which Trans-Allegheny Virginia was not allowed to have its proper and equitable share of representation in the government at Richmond; and

Whereas, That this arrangement arguably resulted in the tax dollars of Trans-Allegheny Virginia being used to enrich the Tidewater through internal improvements which did not benefit the people of Western Virginia, while the people of the Trans-Allegheny had little to no say in how their tax dollars were allocated; and

Whereas, Though this course led to an irreconcilable division, and the subsequent formation of West Virginia, yet, the longstanding peaceful cooperation between this State and the Commonwealth of Virginia is a sign that such separation, undertaken even under the most challenging and onerous of circumstances, can, with the passage of time, yield lasting results which are beneficial to both sides; and

Whereas, In the intervening years, the same neglect for the interests of many of the remaining counties of the Commonwealth of Virginia has allegedly been evidenced by the government at Richmond; and

Whereas, Particularly, many citizens of the Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont contend that an inequitable measure of taxation exists by which they bear a disproportionate share of the present tax burden of the Commonwealth; and

Whereas, The people of the Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont also believe that, currently, a scheme of representation exists by which the citizens of Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont do not have a proper share of representation in the government at Richmond; and, consequently

Whereas, The people of the Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont believe that their tax dollars are used to enrich the Tidewater and Northern Virginia through internal improvements which do not benefit the people of these other parts of Virginia, while the people of these other parts of Virginia have little to no say in how their tax dollars are allocated; and

Whereas, In recent days, these tensions have been compounded by a perception of contempt on the part of the government at Richmond for the differences in certain fundamental political and societal principles which prevail between the varied counties and cities of that Commonwealth; and

Whereas, In the latest, and most evident, in this string of grievances, the government at Richmond now seeks to place intolerable restraints upon the rights guaranteed under the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution to the citizens of that Commonwealth; and

Whereas, The Legislative body of West Virginia believes that this latest action defies the wise counsel which has come down to us in the august words of our common Virginia Founders: as the government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of that tribune of liberty, Patrick Henry-who stated to the Virginia Ratifying Convention in 1788 that “The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able might have a gun”; and

Whereas, The government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of a Signer of the Declaration and premier advocate of American independence, Richard Henry Lee-who stated in The Federal Farmer that “To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms”; and

Whereas, The government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of that zealous guardian of our inherent rights, George Mason-who stated that “To disarm the people…[i]s the most effectual way to enslave them”; and

Whereas, The government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of the declaimer of our independence and theoretician of our freedoms, Thomas Jefferson-who stated in his first draft of the Virginia Constitution, that “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms”; and

Whereas, The Boards of Supervisors of many Virginia counties and the Councils of many Virginia cities have recognized this dangerous departure from the doctrine of the Founders on the part of the government at Richmond; and

Whereas, These Boards of Supervisors and Councils have passed resolutions refusing to countenance what they affirm are unwarranted and unconstitutional measures by that government to infringe the firearm rights of Virginians; and

Whereas, The actions of the government at Richmond undertaken since the recent general election have, regrettably, resulted in unproductive contention and escalating a lamentable state of civic tension; and

Whereas, That, as has been proven in numerous instances, such as have been observed internationally in more recent times with the peaceful dissolutions of Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union, and the creation of South Sudan, or, earlier in Virginia’s own history, with the formation of Kentucky, the peaceful partition of neighboring peoples can occur, and, is often very beneficial to both sides in reducing tensions and improving the tenor of discourse over ongoing political and societal differences; and

Whereas, Article VI, Section 11 of The Constitution of the State of West Virginia explicitly permits additional territory to be admitted into, and become part of this state, with the consent of the Legislature and of a majority of the qualified voters of the state; and

Whereas, In a spirit of conciliation, the Legislature of West Virginia hereby extends an invitation to our fellow Virginians who wish to do so, to join us in our noble experiment of 156 years of separation from the government at Richmond; and, we extend an invitation to any constituent county or city of the Commonwealth of Virginia to be admitted to the body politic of the State of West Virginia, under the conditions set forth in our state Constitution, specifically, with the consent of a majority of the voters of such county or city voting upon such proposition; and we hereby covenant that their many grievances shall be addressed, and, we further covenant with them that their firearms rights shall be protected to the fullest extent possible under our Federal and State Constitutions; and

Whereas, Providing that the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia shall give its assent to any county or independent city presently part of the Commonwealth of Virginia having the opportunity and ability to do so, therefore, be it

Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia.
