Meet One of the Students Eric Holder Is Blocking by Standing in the Schoolhouse Door

IMG_5685

This photograph shows Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal with Brian Ridgley, Jr., one of the beneficiaries of the Louisiana school voucher program. Brian, a fifth grader at The Good Shepherd Nativity Mission School in New Orleans, is one of the students whom Attorney General Eric Holder tried to block when the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice filed a motion in August of last year asking a federal judge to stop Louisiana “from awarding any school vouchers…to students attending school in districts operating under federal desegregation orders.”

Holder was trying to use a 40-year-old court order to prevent Louisiana from giving students like Brian the chance to improve their education—which is what the original, outdated desegregation orders were intended to accomplish. These laws were put in place to stop official, government discrimination by school officials in Louisiana—not prevent school choice by parents trying to improve their children’s education.

Nine out of 10 students who use this voucher program are African-American like Brian. The scholarship program applies to any low-income family who would otherwise be assigned to a school that, under the state’s accountability system, is rated as “failing.” Families receiving a voucher can use it to attend any private or high-performing public school. According to a 2013 survey by the Black Alliance for Educational Options, about 1200 students receive vouchers, and 94 percent of parents are satisfied with the program.

The Justice Department’s motion provides a telling illustration of Eric Holder’s obsession with pursuing racial quotas—an obsession that can only be realized by sacrificing the quality of education.http://blog.heritage.org/2014/04/02/meet-one-students-eric-holder-b...

Holder and the current administration don't care about educating our kids. They want to indoctrinate them.

holder is the typical racist demorat.  He wants to keep them uneducated and in the slums.

Holder belongs in jail and has no say in what any state does or doesn't do. I understand that there is federal money involved, but how long are we going to stand by and be held captive by our own government?

If they get a good education, they will leave the Kennedy demonRAT plantation, that can not happen.

If the liberals can keep children, especially minority children, uneducated or undereducated, the can maintain the power structure they have now.

Thanks for your service, Sarg, I agree with you about bho and Eric "Fast and Furious!" Holder's need to keep all our young ones down and uneducated. How else are they goin' to keep themselves in power?

May the Great Spirit watch over you and yours and guide yours and their steps for all eternity.

Hey you need to understand that obama and holder want to keep the next generation down on the farm so they can control them instead of allowing them to get a great education and live the american dream. They both should be shouting how great this is for young African Americans can have a chance in life.  Obama and holder are also beholden to the teachers union and teachers because as more people leave the public teaching system the unions will get less union dues to give to the democrats.  Education should be who will give the best education and allow all parents to send their kids wherever they want.

Holder is just applying the left-wing technique of keeping the masses dumbed down, least they realize that they've been manipulated to fail.

Maybe Eric Holder thought the the kid, Brian Ridgley was white.

Holer is the second largest pile of stinking feces in Washington !!!

Holder and the rest of the thugs in the Teachers Union don't like their failings exposed.

SICK: Leprosy On The Rise In Los Angeles

Ahh, the joys of open borders and Democrat leadership.

California is not just a public toilet but now there is evidence that leprosy is on the rise in Los Angeles County.

Barack Obama changed US law in 2016 and allowed immigrants with blistering STDs and leprosy to migrate to the US.

Medscape reported:

Leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease, is rarely seen in the United States, but cases continue to emerge in Los Angeles County, a new report says.

“Hansen’s disease still exists, and we need to educate medical students and physicians,” coauthor Dr. Maria Teresa Ochoa from Keck Medical Center of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, told Reuters Health by email.

Dr. Ochoa and colleagues identified 187 patients with the disease in a review of medical records from their leprosy clinic spanning 1973 to 2018. Most patients were Latino, originating from Mexico, and they experienced a median delay in diagnosis of more than three years, the team reports JAMA Dermatology, online August 7.

Multibacillary leprosy (MB) cases outnumbered paucibacillary leprosy (PB) cases by nearly eight to one (88.6% vs. 11.4%, respectively), and Latino patients were more likely than non-Latino patients to have MB, as were patients from Central or South America (versus other regions).

Most patients (80.7%) received multidrug therapy, and most (92.6%) received antibiotics for more than two years, especially if they had MB.

Only about half of patients (56.7%) had World Health Organization (WHO) grade 0 disability (no signs or symptoms suggestive of leprosy or disability) at the one-year follow-up, whereas 16.0% had grade 1 disability (loss of protective sensation) and 26.2% had grade 2 disability (visible deformity) at the last follow-up.

Among the patients who lost protective sensation, 87.7% (50/57) did not regain it following therapy.
