Lilith... demon or woman... wife or dominatrix, fiction or truth... Mormon's believe in her existence.

The following is a brief summary of who or what Lilith is and represents... go to the links below for a more detailed exposition on Lilith... a woman for this season.

Indeed there is a legendary figure named Lilith. She first appears in a document called The Alphabet of Ben Sira, which appeared sometime between the 8th and 10th centuries AD. This document is a scurrilous account of some of the biblical characters. Lilith is portrayed as being Adam’s first wife. Hugh Nibley describes the account of Lilith as follows—

“According to the Hebrew tradition, which is very early and very widely testified, he [Adam] had a wife at this time, and she was Lilith. She represents promiscuity. She didn’t like Adam. She did everything she could to keep him from entering into the covenant and marrying in the covenant. Eve wasn’t around then. Her name means “night,” Layla. Way back in the Alphabet of Rabbi Aqiba, a very early writing, we are told about her. She was his mate, but she stands for everything that is promiscuous. She doesn’t want to get married, but she wants to play around; that’s Lilith.

Adam was living in an animal state of innocence. He had become as a little child. I guess he would be a pushover for Lilith. But she is a sinister character because she is irresponsible. She is married to him and she has children, but she doesn’t want to be responsible for them, or anything like that. She is regarded as the woman who tries to do everything she can to prevent marriage, to prevent childbirth, and to kill babies in their cribs. That’s Lilith.

There are all sorts of early charms from Babylon and elsewhere against Lilith to keep her from her shenanigans. She’s a rather important figure. She represents the sort of sexual license we have in the world today-the anything goes, just have fun”

The Bible tells the story of how Earth was created and the start of humanity. In the text, it says that man was created in the image of God, and then after finding that man was lonely, he took a rib from Adam and created Eve. However, it has been suggested that there is a part of the story that was not told in the Bible and this is that the first woman was Lilith, not Eve.

Lilith Was Banished By God For Being More Willful... Lilith is said to have been the first woman in the world and was created by God at the same time as he created Adam. It is said that Lilith was then banished and rejected by God after it was found that she was stronger and more intelligent that Adam and she would not obey the commands of Adam. The character was not mentioned in the Bible to understand the origin of humanity as Lilith was said to go against the tradition of the church in that women must obey a man and women were in a lower position than men.

Rosie... Good topic.

Below find a general statement describing the Anti-defamation League's mission and giving some insight into its historical positions and actions.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL; formerly known as the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith) is an international Jewish non-governmental organization based in the United States. The ADL states that its mission is to fight anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry,  and to defend democratic ideals, and civil rights for all"...  They claim to do so through "information, education, legislation, and advocacy... using the courts as a last resort.

The ADL has stated that its primary purpose is "to secure justice and fair treatment to all citizens alike, and to put an end forever to unjust and unfair discrimination against and ridicule of any sect or body of citizens." However, The ADL has faced criticism for its support for Israel, US domestic spying allegations, its stance on the Armenian Genocide, and while attempting to remain unbiased they appear to promote conflicting policies.

Historically, the ADL has opposed groups and individuals it considered to be anti-Semitic and/or racist, including: Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan, Henry Ford, Father Charles Coughlin (leader of the Christian Front), the Christian Identity movement, the German-American Bund, neo-Nazis, the American militia movement and white power skinheads (although the ADL acknowledges that there are also non-racist skinheads). The ADL publishes reports on a variety of countries, regarding alleged incidents of anti-Jewish attacks and propaganda.

The ADL often takes leftist views of liberty and supports such policies as OPEN BORDERS, amnesty, and separation of Church and State... they support banning the 10 Commandments from public buildings, restricting the teaching of Creationism or Intelligent Design, and any form of Biblical curriculum being taught in the Public Schools

The ADL supports Israel as a Jewish and democratic state and supports a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The organization vociferously opposed the 1975 United Nations resolution (revoked in 1991) which equated Zionism with racism and attempts to revive that formulation at the 2001 U.N. World Conference Against Racism in Durban, South Africa. The ADL also has expressed concern over Israeli legislative proposals that would stifle freedom of expression and undermine Israeli democracy.

In 2006, the ADL condemned Senate Republicans in the United States for attempting to ban same-sex marriage with the Federal Marriage Amendment and called the proposal discriminatory. That same year, the ADL warned that the debate over illegal immigration was drawing neo-nazis and anti-Semites into the ranks of the Minutemen Project.

In General, the ADL is a socialist non-government Jewish organization that supports non-traditional and anti-Christian views and BIAS... while claiming to be non-biased and in support of policies that promote a well-rounded society where all people can live without facing discrimination and open bigotry... However, in practice they fall well short of such a goal... instead, they retain biased and bigoted views when dealing with ethnic and religious views of non-jews and socialist.

Let me clarify my final sentence... the ADL Is pro-socialist and has a positive bias for all things socialist.  They are also heavily into defending a socialist, Zionist, view of Israel... which makes them biased toward all things THEY deem Israeli... albeit, taking a hard left view of politics...

The organization of the ADL Anti-Defamation League Is a Terrorist Foundation.  Norway boycotted Israel, so they organized the murder of the children of the Norway Government.

I sent the video to Tif, soon I will post the information, never before footage seen on the internet, that my friends taped.

If you boycott Israel over Palestine, and organize you will die.

ADL Anti-Defamation League Is anti- Christian.

.

No wonder Ronald is jumping around that comment....:)

I have seen no evidence that the ADL is a terrorist organization... or that it supports the use of violence... perhaps you can post some.  I don't support the ADL because of its socialist and progressive stands.  Thanks.

I will call Rosie, I want to know where the tape is at, and the FBI documents, cause you know me, I like pissing off the so called elite...:)

That does not look like Ronald's comment...:)

Da!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL Tif

Amen Kristi...

If anyone preaches a gospel other than that which the Apostles and Prophets have preached... let them be accursed. The debate over Lilith and other extra-biblical accounts of creation or the historical facts as contained in the scriptures is purely academic ... and should point to the absurdity of the arguments made outside scriptural canon and authenticity.

Mixing a little truth with a lie ... results in a bigger lie not more truth.

To Clarify...

Who was Lilith and is she mentioned in the Bible?

According to Jewish folklore, Lilith was Adam’s first wife. Though she is not mentioned in the Torah, over the centuries she has become associated with Adam in order to reconcile contradictory versions of Creation in the book of Genesis. Lilith and the Biblical Story of Creation

Other references describe Lilith as:

A nocturnal female demon originating in Babylonian tradition, said to harm male children. The name Lilith is mentioned in the Bible in Isaiah 34:14, where it is translated as "screech-owl" in the King James Version. According to medieval Jewish lore, Lilith was the first wife of Adam, who left Eden of her own choice because she considered Adam inferior. For this reason, she has recently become a symbol of the feminist movement.

The earliest recorded reference to Lilith is in the prologue to the Babylonian epic poem Gilgamesh, dating from as early as 2000 BCE. Much later, around the 9th century BCE, related demons are attested in Babylonian lore, including the male Lilu and the female Lilitu and Ardat Lili. All three are demonic in their origin.

Why would anyone want to deify or admire Lilith... if her myth has any truth in it she is a demon or of demonic origin... a fallen woman whose entire being is evil.

ALERT ALERT

Florida Sheriff — “I Will Not Enforce Assault Weapons Ban, Neither Will Most Sheriffs”

Dennis Lemma, who is the Sheriff in Central Florida’s Seminole County, told a group of 2nd Amendment activists recently that he would not enforce an assault weapons ban that could soon become Florida law if the “Ban Assault Weapons Now” amendment passes in the Sunshine State.

According to News965, the ban has the following specifications.

The amendment proposed in the state legislature would ban possession of assault weapons, which are defined as “semiautomatic rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition at once, either in fixed or detachable magazine, or any other ammunition feeding device.”

Lemma, an ardent supporter of the 2nd Amendment and a first term sheriff who is running for re-election, said this about whether or not he would enforce such a law.

“It’s not only that I wouldn’t, the majority of sheriffs across the state would not do it,” Lemma said in the video. It’s up to the sheriffs what they are willing to enforce.”
