Levin: US preparing for societal collapse by buying up billions of rounds of ammo

On Friday’s night broadcast of his radio show, Mark Levin speculated that the federal government is stockpiling ammunition to ensure the rule of law in the event of a total societal and economic collapse.

On Feb. 8, Investor’s Business Daily editorial writer Andrew Malcolm penned a piece about the Department of Homeland Security amassing what he called “sufficient firepower to shoot every American about five times –including illegal immigrants,” or more than 1.6 billion bullets.

“I’m going to tell you what I think is going on,” Levin said. “I don’t think insurrection. Law enforcement and national security agencies — they play out multiple scenarios. They simulate multiple scenarios. I’ll tell you what I think they’re simulating: the collapse of our financial system, the collapse of our society and the potential for widespread violence, looting, killing in the streets, because that’s what happens when an economy collapses.”

Everyone keeps asking why they need 1.6 billion bullets.  I think at least one reason for it is so that WE can't get any for ourselves.  They know we would stockpile it if we could and use it against them in any kind of war that would pit us against them in the defense of our Constitutional rights.  People also quote the statistic that says that is enough ammo to shoot us all 5 times.  Don't worry, that's still not enough for them.  They aren't going to just shoot one of us 5 times.  They have 30 round mags in their AR15s so they can shoot us 30 times plus they will have at least 6-12 shooters so you can count on them expending around 300 rounds or more for each Patriot they take down.  That means they aren't counting on having to shoot all of us.  The ones that are left will go like the sheeple they are meekly to the concentration camps.

You're forgetting that many LE are bad shots. So, we're looking at them possible having to fire 5 rounds to hit us once. They may have to waste more ammo than that.

I haven't forgotten that Jerry, but you are right.  And they are as guilty as anybody about pulling the trigger until they run out of ammo.  That's why 30-round mags were invented in the first place.  Nobody ever expected a combat infantryman to shoot 30 bad guys before reloading.  I am still sticking to my 300 rounds per Patriot estimate although some of the better trained ones at cover and concealment may require more than 300 rounds of small arms fire and possibly even air support to finally eliminate them.  I would bet that some LEOs in the heat of battle could empty their Glock and not hit anything.  I have seen some who have a better chance of shooting themselves in the foot first before shooting you.  But I wouldn't underestimate any of them nor their resolve to take you out if they were told you were a bad guy.
