Law Professor Suggests GPS Trackers For Refugees (Instead Of Immigration Ban)

Image result for ankle bracelets for refugeesSeemingly taking a page out of Europe's idiotic government decisions, George Washington University Law Professor John Banzhaf is urging President Trump to go slow on appealing a court's rejection of the administration's travel ban and instead, follow Germany's example and put GPS ankle bracelets on visitors from the seven targeted nations until a final decision is made.

As The Washington Examiner reports, a prominent legal expert said that the administration should wait to appeal until Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch gets to the court, giving Trump a 5-4 majority and in the meantime put the tracking devices on any refugee or visitor.

"Going to the Supreme Court now could result in a widely predicted 4-4 decision," warned George Washington University Law Professor John Banzhaf.

Wait instead, he urged, and in the meantime look to Germany's model of using trackers on those it suspects of having terror ties — not all refugees.

"Imposing such conditions on admission is fully consistent with 8 USC 1182(f) which expressly gives the president the authority to 'impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.' It is also more likely to be upheld since it is far less objectionable than a total ban," he said.

Ankle bracelets are currently widely used by law enforcement and immigration agencies and Banzhaf suggested that it can be expanded and would be accepted by the nation.

"There have now been several major terrorist incidents in which authorities pointed out that they were suspicious of the perpetrator, but did not have sufficient information to arrest him, nor the vast resources necessary to provide effective surveillance of everyone under suspicion. GPS systems incorporated in ankle bracelets permit one agent to track hundreds of suspects in real time, and provide computer generated alerts if he goes anywhere suspicious (e.g., near a nuclear power plant), meets with other persons likewise wearing ankle monitors," he said.

We look forward to hearing the uproar from the liberal intelligentsia regarding invading the privacy of potential terrorists.

I'm STILL laughing!!!

It is interesting to get your posts but frustrating as well, they still cannot be shared on facebook,

not good enough i want them out of here

I agree. Get rid of them. - I wonder why Trump didn't sign an executive order for religious freedom Why does he protect the LGBTQ? Get rid of them, too! Certainly don't protect them, President Trump!

Why should he need to sign an EO for religious freedom.......the First Amendment should cover it all.

Hell no, kick illegals and Obamas refugees out and put the tracker on the professor. Better yet kick out exile the professor.

You have some great ideas!!!    We need you working for Sessions, as soon as the Libs get through dragging their feet, squealing and kicking, and get him into Office.

We have enough trash in our streets now, why spend millions of dollars to provide more? if they will commit crimes, why would they not just remove the bracelet and toss then away?

Absolutely correct.  One of my previous contracts was with a company that repaired the tracking ankle bracelets that currently are used by the courts.  By and large, the most common fault with the units was damage to the straps and thus to the switches that monitor the bracelet's position on the person.

Yes, the biggest problem was that the offender just cut the bracelet or ripped it out of the plastic case, tossed the tracker to the side, and went on about his "business" of robbery, vandalism, or whatever "job" his criminal specialty provided.

There is nothing to keep the tagged "refugees" from doing the same thing and, friends, there is not a large enough police force to keep track of them nor is there enough jail space to incarcerate them.
The only answer is expulsion from our country and refusal to admit any further of the so-called refugees without very close examination of the person(s) in question.

Come on people get real, they want you except this technology for the refugee and later for you. I ain't wearing no bracelet or chip or anything else, to hell with govt I belong to Jesus Christ not a subject of any govt. These academia just have to stsnd up and show the world how smart they are, not. Always some rule or some technology they want you to comply with and exempt themselves. This shit is ridiculous.

We've given enough to these people. Just use the laws and get them out of the country!

The President has the authority to "impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate." Yeah, he's trying to do that, by keeping them out in the first place. Fight the courts who don't want to follow the order, and put the immigration ban back into effect. Case closed.

God Bless Donald Trump and God Bless America!

ALERT ALERT

Florida Sheriff — “I Will Not Enforce Assault Weapons Ban, Neither Will Most Sheriffs”

Dennis Lemma, who is the Sheriff in Central Florida’s Seminole County, told a group of 2nd Amendment activists recently that he would not enforce an assault weapons ban that could soon become Florida law if the “Ban Assault Weapons Now” amendment passes in the Sunshine State.

According to News965, the ban has the following specifications.

The amendment proposed in the state legislature would ban possession of assault weapons, which are defined as “semiautomatic rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition at once, either in fixed or detachable magazine, or any other ammunition feeding device.”

Lemma, an ardent supporter of the 2nd Amendment and a first term sheriff who is running for re-election, said this about whether or not he would enforce such a law.

“It’s not only that I wouldn’t, the majority of sheriffs across the state would not do it,” Lemma said in the video. It’s up to the sheriffs what they are willing to enforce.”
