Kids who opted out of Common Core test denied ice cream; parents not cool

The liberal notion that everyone should get a trophy only goes so far in an upstate New York elementary school. Arkport Central School District third through sixth graders who participated in Common Core testing were treated to ice cream. Those that didn’t got the “Ice Cream Nazi” treatment: No ice cream for you!.

The parents who refused to bow down to the god of Common Core were merely exercising their legal right to do so. And for that, their children had to succumb to the school district’s vindictive behavior, according to EAG News.

District superintendent Glenn Niles blamed the hubbub on the fact that more students opted out of the testing this year.

“Very sorry it was taken in the light that it was taken,” he said, according to WLEA News. “We try to do a simple token, as we’ve done every year that we’ve ever tested, and this year was no different. We just had more kids that didn’t take the tests, and therefore, it was a little bigger deal, so we will evaluate what we will do in the future.”

According to EAG:

As if he had no idea that small children might be upset when their classmates got ice cream and they didn’t. If Niles was genuinely surprised by the reaction, he has no business working around youngsters because he clearly does not understand them.

Niles and the school principal said they were very upset about the community reaction to the ice cream scandal.

“Some of the things said about me, about Mrs. Dewey [the principal], and about the school are really just plain ugly,” Niles added.

He’s surprised by the reaction? Speaking for myself, even though it’s been many decades since I’ve been in grade school, it would seriously tee me off if all my friends got free ice cream and I didn’t. And if this happened to my kid? I’d get ugly also.

I would say it’s time for the Arkport Central School District to start looking for a new superintendent and principal. Their mean spiritedness has no place in elementary education.

of course, is all about control.  If you don't accept the regime, you will be punished.  Brainwashing at its best.

i agree.  there was no reason what so ever for that principal and superintendent to do this to those children except bullying and we try to teach our children what is right and wrong with society,  shame on them

I think the kids will survive. I have three kids but they are adults now. We went through a big ordeal with Darwinism . Somehow you let them know that school isn't home, family, life isn't 't fair. Depend on God and family. That's what real

As long as you tolerate abuse, it will continue.       Pull up your Pants, and stand up for yourselves.      Get together, and fire this Superintendent.         Make sure the new one you find ,tows the Line, and make very sure they know, you will be watching.      Hold them accountable!!!!   Pay attention!        Your Children lives are at stake!!

This is just the tip of the ice berg.  I would not be surprised if the next egregious act will be a tax deduction for those who vote Democrat.  There is a totalitarian virus sweeping our nation.  We had better wake up to what is going on before all our freedoms and liberty are gone.  The government is not an entity in it self.  It is the people that we have elected.  To change the direction of our governments, local to state to federal, we must change the people in government.  We must replace the liberty and freedom destroying clods with patriots dedicated to uphold the spirit of our Constitution as designed by our founders.  In our vetting process we must weed out the self serving despots turning our government into a totalitarian monarchy.  We can save our Republic, but we must be dedicated to this task and work hard to be successful in our mission.

Best solution, get rid of the principal, superintendent and common core.  It's nothing but indoctrination and is not about education.

The best solution is to get rid of the people that authorized something like this, and lets not forget that the school board authorizes Common Core, as well.  Vote for people that are interested in the best education they can get for the kids and plan for a better tomorrow for the community and this nation.

Does anyone remember when the establishment tried to abolish phonics? It resulted in chaos. Phonics had to be restored.  Now in Common core young students at the kindergarten level are faced with the insanity of the number line.  When we learned subtraction in school we learned the simple and efficient method of borrowing. Now young students must learn the very inefficient and complex concept of the number line.  As an engineer, I have had to utilized concepts in geometry and trigonometry, but this system does not seem like it could work on updated models of calculators, yet alone of young minds struggling to stay afloat in the incompetent world of the so called educators. By educators I do not mean the teachers. The teachers did not formulate this monstrosity.

With the already confusing complexities of the STAR tests new and even more confusing concepts are introduced to struggling youth.  Even more confusing is how these modifications in the educational process have anything at all to do with preparing young people for the adult world that they will one day face.

I am surprised that they even allowed ice cream in the school...but common core is as evil as obamacare, and all of the rest of obamas tyranny.

It shows me that the folks running the school are more childish than the children that are there, just another example of liberals screwing up everything they get involved with.

Common Core has no place in education and should be removed from schools before it can do any more harm.  Hitler had a trick he pulled in the schools that went something like this, he would tell the children to say the Lords prayer and when they got to the part that says, "Give us this day our daily bread" he would ask the children where is your bread?  Then he would have the children say some praise to Hitler and thank him for their daily bread and bread would come down from the balcony where his men were hiding with the bread.  This taught the children to be dependent on the state, sound familiar?

Horrible: Democrats Set The Constitution On Fire With Fraudulent Impeachment

House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning after an investigation that violated fundamental provisions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The investigation of the president began with the complaint of a so-called “whistleblower” who turned out to be a rogue Central Intelligence Agency employee, protected by a lawyer who had called for a “coup” against Trump in early 2017.

Democrats first demanded that the “whistleblower” be allowed to testify. But after House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was found to have lied about his committee’s contact with the “whistleblower,” and after details of the “whistleblower’s” bias began to leak, Democrats reversed course. In violation of the President Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to confront his accuser, Democrats refused to allow the “whistleblower” to testify. They argue the president’s procedural rights, even if they existed, would not apply until he was tried in the Senate — but they also invented a fraudulent “right to anonymity” that, they hope, might conceal the whistleblower even then.

Schiff began the “impeachment inquiry” in secret, behind the closed doors of the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) in the basement of the U.S. Capitol, even though none of the testimony was deemed classified. Few members of Congress were allowed access. Schiff allowed selective bits of testimony to leak to friendly media, while withholding transcripts of testimony.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), having allowed the secret process to unfold, legitimized it with a party-line vote authorizing the inquiry. The House resolution denied President Trump the procedural rights enjoyed by Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, and denied the minority party the traditional right to object to witnesses called by the majority.

Rather than the House Judiciary Committee, which traditionally handles impeachment, Pelosi also deputized the House Intelligence Committee to conduct fact-finding; the Judiciary Committee was turned into a rubber stamp. Schiff held a few public hearings, but often failed to release transcripts containing exculpatory evidence until after they had passed.

In the course of the Intelligence Committee’s investigation, Schiff quietly spied on the telephone records of his Republican counterpart, Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA). He also snooped on the phone records of a journalist, John Solomon; and on the phone records of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, acting as President Trump’s personal lawyer.

Schiff’s eavesdropping violated both the First Amendment right to press freedom and the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. Yet he proceeded undeterred by constitutional rights, publishing the phone logs in his committee’s report without warning, confirmation, or explanation, alleging that Nunes and the others were part of a conspiracy to assist the president’s allegedly impeachable conduct. When Republicans on the Judiciary Committee asked the Intelligence Committee’s majority counsel, Daniel Goldman, to explain the phone logs, he refused to answer,

Ironically, Schiff had done exactly what Democrats accuse Trump of doing: abused his power to dig up dirt on political opponents, then obstructed a congressional investigation into his party’s and his committee’s misconduct.

Democrats’ articles of impeachment include one for the dubious charge of “abuse of power,” which is not mentioned in the Constitution; and one for “obstruction of Congress,” which in this case is an abuse of power in itself.

Alexander Hamilton, writing about impeachment in Federalist 65, warned that “there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.” Democrats have fulfilled Hamilton’s worst fears.

The Trump impeachment will soon replace the 1868 impeachment of President Andrew Johnson — which the House Judiciary Committee staff actually cited as a positive precedent — as the worst in American history.

In service of their “coup,” Democrats have trampled the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Republic has never been in greater danger.

You don't get to interrupt me
