Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton: Congress 'AWOL' on ‘All Significant Investigations of Misconduct by Federal Gov’t.’

Congress has been “AWOL [absent without leave] on almost all significant investigations of misconduct by the federal government,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton told CNSNews.com on Thursday.

Fitton made the comments after the conservative watchdog group made public296 pages of previously unreleased State Department records, including 44 emailsthat former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton failed to turn over last year despite her sworn declaration that she had done so.

The emails “show [that] the Clinton Foundation, Clinton donors, and operatives worked with Hillary Clinton in potential violation of the law,” according to the conservative watchdog group, which currently has 18 active Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits.

Over the past four years, Judicial Watch has uncovered troves of new information dating back to 2009 on Clinton’s use of a private email server to conduct government business and the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya while she was secretary of state that has apparently eluded seven congressional committees.

CNSNews.com asked Fitton if any members of Congress have been in contact with his group regarding these latest revelations.

We have not had any interest from members of Congress in our work,” Fitton replied.

Asked if he was surprised by that, Fitton answered: “No. Congress as an institution is AWOL on almost all significant investigations of misconduct by the federal government,” he said.

I hate to think control of th Senate may be lost this election, but that won't be on Trump. The sole responsibility Mitch McConnel, AKA Harry Reid Jr.

"Give us the Senate, then you'll see change!"

OUR congress has no intrest in the truth for they are so crooked that it puts a 'dog's hind leg to shame

We need TRUE conservatives, not RINO's in congress. To find out where your rep. stands on conservative views go to www.conservativereview.com/scorecard

This is yet another reason to end the U S Government's monopoly power over its own financing.

It's mandatory that the 50 state legislatures provide the U S Gov't with the money it needs to operate, not 145 million or so defenseless taxpayer/citizens.

Under this proposal, the yearly Federal Budget will be divided among the States by a formula fair to all. (A simple, mathematically valid formula has already been developed, and checked with a Ph. D in Math to confirm the validity.)

Each state legislature will then decide how to tax its state residents to come up with the money to pay its ratable share of the yearly Federal Budget.

This will automatically means no yearly deficit spending.  The Feds, if they wanted to overspend, would have to go back to the states again and again for even more money.

The Feds will be far less likely to do junk line Mr. Fitton is reporting. They will be fearful of the states "glowering" at them during the yearly national budget development process. The glowering will be a demand for honest and limited spending.

Keep in mind that under this proposal, each State will get an "invoice” each year from the Feds. Wouldn't it seem reasonable that all 56 States will want the invoices to be as small as possible? (Wash D C and the U S territories and possessions will be considered "states" under this system, hence, over 50.)

Since the states, forevermore going into the future, will have control of the "purse strings", and as a group will be far more powerful that the Feds, do you think they will be in any hurry to give the Feds more money than what our limited-government Constitution would allow?  (Check Federalist Paper 45, paragraph 9 and 10 to see what James Madison says about "few and defined" powers for the Feds, and "numerous and indefinite" powers for the states.)

This is the only way, the ONLY way, to take the power away from Washington, D C.  There have been far too many years of talk about "waste, fraud, and abuse." It's time to REALLY do something about it.

Why do We the People, continue to make it so easy for "the Feds" to get massive amounts of money from us through their shameful monopoly control misuse of their own financing?

Like a kid who week after week overspends his allowance, Mom and Dad (i.e., the States and the People) must take control over "junior's allowance" through the 50 (56) state legislatures.  This new approach is mandatory.

The state legislatures were the funding agents for the "Union" government of the original 13 states under our first constitution-type document, the Articles of Confederation. (Google Article VIII of the Articles of Confederation to see this for yourself.)

The system being proposed is called the CONSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT TAX (the CST.)  The CST is a 21 Century update to Article VIII.

Has any other approach to control National Government spending NOT failed horribly?

My dear fellow Americans, please take action, action that will really mean something, through Tea Party-type groups, direct contact with your state legislators, etc, to press for the CST.  If you don't America is gone.

Please call me for more details, C J at 1-269-342-0410.

Only 47% of the Federal Governments revenues are collected from Income Taxes... The balance is collected from Constitutional Taxes, fees, and imposts: excise taxes, custom duties, tariffs, and fees for services account for 53% of the Federal Governments revenues... these were the original sources of revenue for funding the  Federal Government and remain the largest sources of its revenues.  See: http://www.cbpp.org/research/policy-basics-where-do-federal-tax-rev...

At the end of each physical year the US Treasury was to submit an invoice to each State REQUESTING payment of their 'portion' of the federal deficit... each State's portion was to be based on the current US Census (Population of the State). See: Article 1, Sec 9, Clause 5.  The several State's were intended to make up any shortfall in Federal Revenue. However,  it was expected that there should be no shortfall.  The State's, controlled how to raise monies for funding the Federal Government's deficits... making the federal government the DEPENDENT of the State's not the other way around.

In addition, when the States controlled US Senators... they could ensure that the Federal Budget was balanced or it would be rejected in the US Senate.  We need to repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments to return control of the Federal Government to the States.

All revenues for funding the Federal Government need to return to the original Constitutional process, as prescribed by the US Constitution in Article 1, Section 8 and 9... No other sources of revenue or taxes should be permitted. The State's need to be in control of funding any federal deficit... returning the invoices UNPAID anytime the State's believe them to be ill advised, making it necessary for the Federal Government to pay for any existing deficit out of the current Federal Revenues.. There should NEVER BE A DEFICIT.

Once the several States have control over funding for the Federal Government... they will become the sovereigns intended and the Federal Government the servant of the State's.

Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton is an absolute HERO! He deserves to be given the medal of honor, keys to any city he wants, have an aircraft carrier named after him, a book written about his life, taught about to future generations of students as the most honorable man during a time of spineless scoundrels, lifetime tickets to any sporting event he wants, a brand new Corvette painted in any color he likes and then even be canonized a saint. YES!

We need a lot more just like him!

I second all that and more...

America needs men like Fitton in the DOJ... wielding the hammer of justice upon the corrupt politician.  I would hope that Trump will appoint such men to a special division in the DOJ that focuses on Congress and the Administration... looking for corruption and prosecuting it to the hilt. Once Trump takes office, it should be one of his first priorities... to have indictments for corruption in government, rolling out of the DOJ by the dozens, within the first 100 days.

If we can't vote them out... indict them out... Put the corrupt politicians in prison, where they belong.  Expel them from Congress by the dozens... Go TRUMP, clean House, both Houses.

That is because they are all complicit in the downright treason that is occurring...like a house of dominoes...and THAT is why they ALL hate Trump.

This is beyond sad.  Not even congress or senate seem to care about all the corruption.

President insults leftists during social media summit

The president made reference to the Antifa attack on gay Asian journalist Andy Ngo in Portland last month.

“Do you ever notice they pick on certain people?” asked Trump.

"Did you ever notice they don't come after Bikers For  Trump?"@realDonaldTrump calls out ANTIFA for the wussies that they are.

“He would tell you he’s not the toughest person physically in the world – they don’t go after Bikers For Trump, you ever notice that, they don’t go after our construction workers who love us, they don’t go after the police,” he added.

Trump went on to further insult far-leftists, joking, “They live in the basement of their mom’s home,” while asserting that they all had skinny arms.

“But they have the black masks on and they have sticks, they hit people in the face, in the head.”

“But you ever notice Antifa’s never there when we have a bikers rally….they’re never around, they’re always there when you have a single guy protesting in front of a school,” said Trump.

Trump then made reference to his administration’s move to withdraw federal funding from educational institutions that don’t allow free speech on campus.
