Jeff Sessions: " The Supreme Court has become a Supreme Legislature"

Sessions' full statement in response to the Court's action to unilaterally rewrite the Constitution.

“The Supreme Court has become a Supreme Legislature. They have not only rewritten the laws of the 50 United States, but have redefined a sacred and ancient institution. The Framers provided only two means of amending the Constitution: an amendment must be proposed through either a two-thirds vote of the House and Senate or a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the states, and either must then be ratified by three-fourths of the states. They did not authorize judges to amend the Constitution. Five judges have neither the moral nor legal authority to decide for themselves that the heritage which gave birth to our nation should be supplanted with their own fleeting views of contemporary events.

It is not an act of courage but supreme arrogance to pretend that the wisdom of five judges is greater than all the men and women who have voted upon this issue in the 50 states, and the men and women whose convictions have defined the course of western civilization. The civilization we flourish in today did not spring out of nothing: it was carved out of the wilderness by families and communities knitted together by their faith and traditions, and set upon a foundation stretching back thousands of years.

When a society begins to strike its shared faith and traditions from every place of respect, a new faith always takes its place. Where the family is not the center of American life, government is. Today’s ruling is part of a continuing effort to secularize, by force and intimidation, a society that would not exist but for the faith which inspired people to sail across unknown waters and trek across unknown frontiers.

Justice Scalia was sadly but fully correct when he wrote that: “Today’s decree says that my Ruler, and the Ruler of 320 million Americans coast-to-coast, is a majority of the nine lawyers on the Supreme Court… This practice of constitutional revision by an unelected committee of nine, always accompanied (as it is today) by extravagant praise of liberty, robs the People of the most important liberty they asserted in the Declaration of Independence and won in the Revolution of 1776: the freedom to govern themselves.”

Such action must end. All who seek high office—whether legislative or executive—must pledge to curtail these abuses and support only the nomination of those who will do the same. The American people are losing the power to control those who seek to control them.

In a single week we have seen the Congress surrender its legislative authority through fast-track, we have seen the Court rewrite the dictionary to protect Obamacare, and we have seen unelected judges rewrite the Constitution in order to impose the will of five on 300 million.

But whether these progressive victories are transient, or permanent, depends on us.”

We are witnessing the beginning of the fall of a great nation.   The Majority dictated to by the minority.   And the nation ruled by 5 unelected men and women.  Two of which were involved in officiating marriage between two persons of the same sex.  Same two publicly voiced backing of LBGT agenda.  A clear and unequivable   conflict of interest that begs recusing oneself from the process of reviewing and ruling on same sex marriage.   That is the secular view.   On realm of a blessed nation stand by and witness how the mighty are brought low as has happened to all of the great powers who shook their fist in the face of the creator.

The two that you mention are also Lesbians and far left Progressives. The entire Federal Government System has been taken over by the Progressive Left.  America what the Communist could not do in the last 100 years through war, intimidation and subversion has been done by the Obama Administration in less than seven years!

America is becoming the modern Sodom & Gomorrah and over half the country doesn't care for whatever reason - SO SAD!

There is a lot of malcontent and contempt and very angry people and with justification in the mix. More people than ever are awake now and that is good and these people need to stay that way and act in unison to reverse what these criminals on Capitol hill have done to our Country. This is far from over with and this is the kind of atmosphere this Obama Administration wants and has been working to achieve since 2009. He may end up getting something he can't control too in spite of all the angles he thinks he has covered. He can't wish away all this uneasiness that prevails in this land. He has divided the races and now they are trying to erase our Heritage, the Southern part anyway and the next part will be the National one. People will have to soon take an active role in defending our land from further abuse and being dissolved into something unidentifiable. It's not far from that now and he laughs at every turn. Laughing is catching.

Intention is accompanied by actions, not words. Let the futility be felt by the five looney-tune justices inhabiting SCOTASYLUM...Semper Fi Nam 66-67

Well Sen. Sessions... where are the Articles of Impeachment for BAD CONDUCT on the 5 Justices siding against the People and the Constitution?  We already knew that the SCOTUS was corrupt. Congress needs to exercise their Oversight authority, of this corrupted Institution, removing the rotten apples from the bench... by Impeaching them.

Sen. Sessions' rhetoric serves nothing but to confirm the problems we all understand exist in the Court.  We don't elect US Senators to regurgitate known problems. We elect them to solve problems.  It is time for the Conservative Members of Congress, to ban together, and too join with the people to clean out the corruption in government... Too, organize massive assemblies, strikes, and petitions, demanding reform; the resignation of selective members of government, the passage and ratification of several Amendments (term limits, balanced budget, recall, etc.) restoring Constitutional government.

However, the good Senator has only echoed a chorus of  acclaim, exposing corruption, in every branch of the federal government. Yet, he offers no solution, nor does he appear willing to 'do' what is necessary to bring about reform.

Sessions:  stop talking and starting doing something.

SCOTUS has become what became naturally inevitable when the 17th amendment was passed. REPEAL it !!

But whether these progressive victories are transient, or permanent, depends on us.”  That is so true, now what is Congress going to do.  They hold the power to "backtrack" this.  Will they do that?  No one knows.  But the ball is now in their court again, if they do not use the power given to them by the people, they are have failed the people.  By re-writing, changing the meaning of words is not up to the White House or Supreme Court, now it is up to Congress to stop this.  If the leaders in Congress are not standing for the people and the Constitution it us to the body of Congress to change that also.  Not to wait 3, 4 8 months it is to be done NOW. IMMEDIATELY, they can not and must not drag their feet any longer.  They have the backing of the people and they damn well better not waste that.  God bless and forgive America of the sins of government.

We have 0bama making laws. We have the supreme court rewriting our Constitution. We have congress and the senate with a dog and pony show.

We the People must stand up and take a stand for the Constitution. NOW

Leadership! Where is the leadership? While all of our present Republican presidential candidates are burning up the biosphere with their denunciations of our new nine-member ruling junta, only one, thus far, has offered any real leadership: Gov. Walker (who actually isn't a presidential candidate yet). His leadership suggestion to all those who are not happy with the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision on gay marriage, is to beseech their congressional delegation to move for a constitutional amendment to allow each state to define marriage as its citizenship sees fit. But I suspect most Republicans in Congress, and more than a few Republican presidential candidates, are far too comfortable with the present decisions being made by the ruling junta than to actually want to lead themselves.

Exactly... Offer an Amendment to the US Constitution permitting the States to define what is and is not a legal marriage within their State.  It would also be prudent to ask them to initiate Articles of Impeachment on the 5 justices that ruled for gay marriage and the ACA...

Pay-Back !!! Pedophile Who Assaulted Nearly 200 Kids Stabbed To Death In Prison

A convicted pedophile who abused almost 200 children was stabbed to death in North Yorkshire, England, on Sunday.

Richard Huckle, 33, from Ashford, Kent, was given 22 life sentences in 2016 after he admitted to sexually abusing 71 kids whose ages ranged from six months to 12 years between 2006 and 2014, according to the BBC.

The report said Huckle was attacked with a makeshift knife while inside his cell at the Full Sutton Prison.

At the pedophile’s trial in 2016, investigators said they found over 20,000 indecent photos and videos of his assaults, which were shared with other pedophiles via a site on the dark web called The Love Zone.

Reports said that prior to his arrest, Huckle posed as an English teacher and Christian volunteer worker in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he groomed impoverished children.

In one of his online posts, Huckle reportedly wrote “Impoverished kids are definitely much easier to seduce than middle-class Western kids.”

Reports said he attempted to make money from his crimes by crowdfunding the release of the photos.

“Huckle also created a 60-page ‘how-to’ guide for other pedophiles seeking to evade being caught, and kept a scorecard and points system regarding the children who were abused — leading investigators to speculate he may have as many as 200 victims,” a Fox News report stated.

At his sentencing in 2016, Judge Peter Rook condemned Huckle for his heinous crimes he said had become routine for the pedophile.

Rook commented:

Your offending behavior became entrenched in your everyday life. Your life revolved around your sexual activities with young children. Your distorted beliefs in respect of children are deep-seated. Your self-delusion knows no bounds. It is also clear that, had you not been arrested, you planned to continue the same lifestyle using the expertise that you were keen to show off to and share with other abusers so as to continue your sexual exploitation of the children of such communities.

Reports said prior to his death, Huckle refused to cooperate with authorities when they tried to unlock a cache of encrypted files he had access to that may contain the names of victims and other pedophiles, according to Fox News.
