IRS Whistle Blower: Embezzlement, Give Aways, Bullying and Misappropriations

Taxpayers were denigrated in writing as “upper class twits” and one cadre member stated that, despite the weakness in our legal position, the taxpayers in these cases were typically elderly and could be forced into settling their cases.

I have been an attorney in the IRS Office of Chief Counsel for over 26 years. Over a number of years, I have attempted, largely unsuccessfully, to alert the public to abuse within the IRS. One of my kids suggested that I contact a blog and Power Line has graciously agreed to publish this account.

I do not personally know whether the IRS has targeted conservative groups or individuals, but I do know that the environment within the agency is ripe for such activity and there is nothing to prevent it from occurring. As stated in more detail below, I have personally witnessed improper giveaways of billions of dollars to taxpayers with inside access at the agency, bullying of elderly taxpayers, the cover-up of managerial embezzlement and misappropriation of thousands of dollars in government funds, and a retaliatory audit. I have also heard credible accounts of, among other things, further improper giveaways, blatant sexual harassment, and anti-Semitism. All of these matters have been swept under the rug.

A number of years ago, a manager in my office was embezzling thousands of dollars in travel funds. His actions were common knowledge, but other managers, including a currently high ranking executive in the office of chief counsel, did not report him. I did report his conduct to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), but they did not investigate the matter for a considerable length of time. After I complained to my local congressman’s office, TIGTA finally forwarded the matter to the office of chief counsel to be handled internally. Eventually, the office of chief counsel made the manager pay the money back, but took no other disciplinary action, even though others who committed the same type of scheme were punished severely.

This has been the norm for years, it is the way communism works. You can not have a republic with corruption.

Fair Tax cuts the IRS down to a fraction of it's size, Single Point Fair Tax totally eliminates the IRS!

Larry,

TAX ON WHAT?  And FOR WHAT?  My Constitution says NO DIRECT TAX from the CONgress.  A DIRECT TAX must be apportioned among the Several States, and the STATES are charged with it.  THE STATES then tax the People to recover it.  IRS is nothing be the collections arm of the FEDERAL RESERVE, which has NO BUSINESS existing.  Through their fraudulent actions over the years we have a 'debt' which can NEVER be paid.  They create the 'money', then LEND it to our CONgress AT INTEREST.  The 'debt' can NEVER be paid, since it would be necessary to 'borrow' the interest.  In the meantime, they stole our substance.  We can't go back to a Precious Metal standard, because the Federal Reserve has stolen tons of gold and silver over the years.

My Constitution also says 'The CONgress shall have power to COIN MONEY, and regulate the value thereof..."  It says NOTHING about allowing a 'central bank' to PRINT barter papers and punch out metal planchets.  Remember, long ago, when a DOLLAR BILL was exactly that?  A BILL?  It was a bill that could be paid by the Treasury with a Silver Dollar or a Gold Dollar, or with a pouch of silver ore.

Today it is called a NOTE.  But it doesn't qualify as that, either.  A NOTE is a PROMISE TO PAY, SOMETHING TO SOMEONE AT A TIME Specific.  Fed 'notes' are a promise to pay NOTHING to ANYONE at ANY TIME.  Don't think so?  Take one to the Treasury.  If you can get in the door, (doubtful) the best you can expect is another one in exchange.

The Downfall of America started way back in 1903 with the First illegal Gun Control law then the creation of the independent "Federal Reserve" a misnomer if there ever was one. This is completely owned and operated by the World super power banker's who really are the true rulers our Elected officials are mere puppets with maser's behind the curtain pulling the strings. Today we have the opportunity to end that as they have gotten so brazen and bold as to remove the curtain and let us actually see the corruption involved. It is so rampant and egregious as to elect a non eligible illegal with his own words no less as president not once but TWICE and he is flaunting that in our faces daily. Our Congress is now completely irrelevant as well as corrupt. This from a former IRS Agent does not surprise me one bit as we watch our first, second, and fourth Amendment Right's being totally ignored. The tenth Amendment shredded and throw back in our faces. Either wake up America before it is too late or prepare to kneel and be bound in the chains of slavery

what do you mean,,,,not a smidgen of fraud in the IRS to white house dealings

ABOLISH the Alphabet Agencies, ALL of them! It's spring cleaning time and congress needs to be swept out in total before things get CLEAN again!

Time for a flat tax. No IRS. No refunds. Just a straight percentage off your income. 10% for state, 10% for federal and 7% for social security. Can't live off that? Too bad.

Steven,

You are HERE because you believe in the Constitution.  Why are you talking about all these DIRECT TAXES?  Check Article One.  It says that direct taxes are a definate NO,NO!

The Contry can run just fine if we pull our (unwanted) Troops out of all of the hell holes world-wide, and stop 'foreign aid', which was a post-WW-II 'rebuild' fund.  If they haven't rebulit by now, they never will.  Besides, WE need it now.  Stop sending military equipment there as well.  Same reason.  They can't build their own?  TOO BAD!  They've had over HALF A CENTURY to learn how.  Phooey on them.

We are under NO obligation to support and nation-build the world.  We have our own people to support and defend.  We have a ruptured border, spewing forth illegal enterants.  We NEED the DEFENCE!  We need to send them BACK.  We need to make it impossible for them to come across except by the PROPER ROUTE, and that is NOT across someones Ranch!

With a flat tax congress will just amend it for their friends and anyone that can pay a bribe, they have already amended the tax code in excess of 30,000 times, under the fair tax they can only set the rate, and that rate applies to everyone.

This is why they want nothing to do with the fair or flat tax. They would not be able to steal.

I'm pushing for the Single Point Fair Tax. All income taxes, state, county, city and Fed are eliminated, all tax is collected at the point of sale and transferred to the accounts of each gov entity at the time of a sale, the state tax authority oversees the program, verifies the head of households an number of people in the house and transmits that number to the state and US Treasury for the purposes of the prebates. The IRS is TOTALLY eliminated.

Sort of 'ok'.  But...  The price should include the tax.  If the tax goes up, the price goes up, if the tax goes down the price goes down.  Don't forget the fact that it is NOT the Public's tax to pay.  Direct taxes MUST BE APPORTIONED.  If you believe in the Constitution, it must be the WHOLE thing, at least from Article One thru Amendment 10.

Horrible: Democrats Set The Constitution On Fire With Fraudulent Impeachment

House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning after an investigation that violated fundamental provisions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The investigation of the president began with the complaint of a so-called “whistleblower” who turned out to be a rogue Central Intelligence Agency employee, protected by a lawyer who had called for a “coup” against Trump in early 2017.

Democrats first demanded that the “whistleblower” be allowed to testify. But after House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was found to have lied about his committee’s contact with the “whistleblower,” and after details of the “whistleblower’s” bias began to leak, Democrats reversed course. In violation of the President Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to confront his accuser, Democrats refused to allow the “whistleblower” to testify. They argue the president’s procedural rights, even if they existed, would not apply until he was tried in the Senate — but they also invented a fraudulent “right to anonymity” that, they hope, might conceal the whistleblower even then.

Schiff began the “impeachment inquiry” in secret, behind the closed doors of the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) in the basement of the U.S. Capitol, even though none of the testimony was deemed classified. Few members of Congress were allowed access. Schiff allowed selective bits of testimony to leak to friendly media, while withholding transcripts of testimony.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), having allowed the secret process to unfold, legitimized it with a party-line vote authorizing the inquiry. The House resolution denied President Trump the procedural rights enjoyed by Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, and denied the minority party the traditional right to object to witnesses called by the majority.

Rather than the House Judiciary Committee, which traditionally handles impeachment, Pelosi also deputized the House Intelligence Committee to conduct fact-finding; the Judiciary Committee was turned into a rubber stamp. Schiff held a few public hearings, but often failed to release transcripts containing exculpatory evidence until after they had passed.

In the course of the Intelligence Committee’s investigation, Schiff quietly spied on the telephone records of his Republican counterpart, Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA). He also snooped on the phone records of a journalist, John Solomon; and on the phone records of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, acting as President Trump’s personal lawyer.

Schiff’s eavesdropping violated both the First Amendment right to press freedom and the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. Yet he proceeded undeterred by constitutional rights, publishing the phone logs in his committee’s report without warning, confirmation, or explanation, alleging that Nunes and the others were part of a conspiracy to assist the president’s allegedly impeachable conduct. When Republicans on the Judiciary Committee asked the Intelligence Committee’s majority counsel, Daniel Goldman, to explain the phone logs, he refused to answer,

Ironically, Schiff had done exactly what Democrats accuse Trump of doing: abused his power to dig up dirt on political opponents, then obstructed a congressional investigation into his party’s and his committee’s misconduct.

Democrats’ articles of impeachment include one for the dubious charge of “abuse of power,” which is not mentioned in the Constitution; and one for “obstruction of Congress,” which in this case is an abuse of power in itself.

Alexander Hamilton, writing about impeachment in Federalist 65, warned that “there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.” Democrats have fulfilled Hamilton’s worst fears.

The Trump impeachment will soon replace the 1868 impeachment of President Andrew Johnson — which the House Judiciary Committee staff actually cited as a positive precedent — as the worst in American history.

In service of their “coup,” Democrats have trampled the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Republic has never been in greater danger.

You don't get to interrupt me
