I seriously CANNOT believe what this lawmaker is trying to SHOVE through in Texas…

I think the song goes something like this, “The stars are bright, they shine all night, deep in the heart of Texaaaaas…” When Americans think of Texas they envision a land of resolute, strong, convicted people who love individual liberty and freedom. I remember being a little boy and the first time I saw the movie “The Alamo” with John Wayne and Richard Widmark. The courageous stand at that small little mission by those freedom fighters, “Texians” and Tennesseans, is our American version of the Spartans at Thermopylae. We all know of the saying, “Don’t mess with Texas”, and now being on my third year here in the Lone Star State, there’s something to love about that strong Texas way. There’s something about Texas that’s an integral part of the American spirit.

However, is the heart of Texas changing? We’ve shared here the Dallas County Commission resolution that passed 4-1 seeking to define this county as a sanctuary county. The results of the November 2016 election was telling for Dallas County — almost 60 percent for Hillary Clinton. Everyone here knows what the heart of Austin, Texas is — it certainly doesn’t bleed red, if ya know what I mean.

As a matter of fact, most of the major urban areas of Texas are controlled by Democrats, and when assessing the Dallas first responder pension system status, they are performing as one would expect. Ok, let me clarify, Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, El Paso, Corpus Christi are politically controlled by Democrats. Cities like Ft. Worth, Lubbock, and Amarillo are red, but in Amarillo they’re dealing with the federal government refugee influx.

And then there was this story from a couple of days ago which just left me scratching my head.

As reported by CNN, “A Texas lawmaker has proposed a bill that would fine a man $100 each time he masturbates. The bill also imposes a 24-hour waiting period if a guy wants a colonoscopy or a vasectomy, or if he’s in the market for some Viagra.

Rep. Jessica Farrar, a Democrat, knows her bill isn’t going to get very far. But she proposed it last week to make a point and give male lawmakers a taste of their own medicine.

Farrar has long been an advocate of women’s health in a state that has made it extremely difficult for women to get abortions. And the bill, by pointing out a sexist double standard, is meant to shine a light on the obstacles women deal with when it comes to their health care.

“Let’s look at what Texas has done to women,” Farrar told CNN. “What if men had to undergo the same intrusive procedures?” Farrar’s bill would penalize men for masturbation because such behavior is a failure to preserve the sanctity of life and “an act against an unborn child.”Even the bill’s name — “A Man’s Right to Know Act” — is a jab at a pamphlet Texas doctors are required to give women seeking abortions.”

State Representative Farrar is from the Houston (Harris County) area and her point is that she wants more access to abortions in Texas. Well, let’s be honest, she wants more Texas babies to be killed in the womb. This isn’t about women’s health, such as better research for ovarian, uterine, cervical or breast cancers…or fibroid issues. Rep. Farrar is purely focused on that perceived ultimate progressive socialist women’s right issue, killing babies. And I know it’s rather satirical, but what type of mentality would actually make such an absurd comparison in order to make a “point?” Seems like Rep. Farrar wants to be the new Texas darling of the left, since ol’ pink tennis shoes Wendy Davis is nowhere to be seen or heard.

“Texas doesn’t allow abortions for women past the 20-week mark unless their life is endangered. Under this law, women who are pregnant with an unviable fetus are forced to carry to term. Additionally, women must receive state-directed counseling, must have an ultrasound and a provider must describe the image of the unborn child to the woman.”

The CNN article sought to attack Texas for not having enough abortion clinics and mentioned that as of 2014, there were over 90 percent of counties in Texas without an abortion providing clinic. Funny, there are counties in America where folks only have one health insurance provider, thanks to Obamacare, but the left dare not say anything about that phenomenon. But the purpose of this isn’t to focus on Rep. Farrar’s trip into the Twilight Zone, because there’s a far greater issue.

Texas is a beacon of light when it comes to individual and economic freedom. Many are moving to this state because of the incredible economic opportunities provided. Due to tort reform, Texas is booming with high quality doctors and medical centers. Texas even has its own electrical grid system and is working on developing a plan to provide better protection.

There are so many great things happening in Texas, so why is there a contingent of folks who want to “fundamentally transform” this state? The problem in Texas is the same we’re seeing in Colorado, once a red state. The migration of folks out of California, truly a failing state, to economic successful states is nothing new.

And the desire to “flip”, or as the liberal progressives say, “turn Texas blue,” is a focused objective — but why? Why the heck would anyone want to replicate the failure of the state of California? Yet, that’s exactly what the left seeks to do.

And this is what I call the “locust effect.” The left eats up and destroys the host wherever it spreads — just stand in downtown Austin and see the abject depravity of the homeless situation. Let’s be honest, if the left were EVER to flip Texas as they have in places like Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico, it is over for the United States.

And what’s so perplexing is that here locally we have Toyota moving its headquarters from California to the Dallas area. Anyone else would say, that’s awesome, but talk to the Texans here and they’ll tell you they aren’t liking it…why? Because folks are coming here and not checking their “blue” card at the Texas border. It is confounding that anyone would move from California and want to make their new home more like where they just left. Hey chuckleheads, why do you think Toyota is leaving California?

At this moment, the Democrat Party controls the fewest number of governor’s mansions in America in quite some time. But, that’s not the real focus. We need to realize how many major urban centers Democrats control in red states. As they grow those population centers, where clear evidence of their policy failures exist, and infect them with their welfare nanny-state and dependency agenda, they seek to flip those states — look at Nevada. As well, as long as the colleges and universities are little bastions of socialist indoctrination and education, such as the University of Texas in Austin, those antithetical values will metastasize and spread.

I wonder if Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin, Colonel William Travis, or those men who stood and died at The Alamo were alive today, would they fully recognize, and love what Texas may be becoming? I’m quite sure our Founding Fathers would have some choice words for some of these college professors who state their brilliance in creating this Constitutional Republic is irrelevant. Heck, the students at the University of Virginia don’t even want the founder of their institution mentioned — just happens to be Thomas Jefferson.

Well, looks like God knew what He was doing when I got the opportunity to be here in the Lone Star State. I am a Tennessee Volunteer who showed up in Texas for a new fight for liberty. And all you progressive socialist leftists thinking y’all are going to “Turn Texas Blue” — not on my watch, standing on the ramparts.

How are they going to know?

Furthermore.....who the hell gives a damn?

Oops...forgot, they're spying on us through the tv, phones, microwaves...

Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy: ‘The Real Second Amendment Isn’t Absolute

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) tweeted Saturday there is a “real” Second Amendment and an “imaginary” one and he believes the real one is “not absolute.”

Murphy, “I support the real 2nd Amendment, not the imaginary 2nd Amendment. And the real 2nd Amendment isn’t absolute.”

The statement was a precursor to his call for banning “assault rifles” in the wake of the Santa Fe High School shooting, even though “assault rifles” were not used in the attack.

Murphy said the “real 2nd Amendment…allows Congress to wake up to reality and ban these assault rifles that are designed for one purpose only – to kill as many people as fast as possible.”

Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) said the Santa Fe High School attackers used a .38 revolver and a shotgun to carry out his heinous acts. Therefore, a ban on “assault rifles” would have done nothing to prevent the attack from occurring or the tragic loss of life from taking place.

It should be noted that Saturday was not the first time Sen. Murphy called the essence of the Second Amendment into question. On August 6, 2013, Breitbart News reported that Murphy told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow that “The Second Amendment is not an absolute right, not a God-given right. It has always had conditions upon it like the First Amendment has.”

Murphy did not grapple with the words, “Shall not be infringed.”
