Homeland Security Police at VA doing 'familiarization exercise'

When the veteran’s wife asked a VA doctor about the action, she was told it was a “familiarization exercise.”

Veterans were horrified while seeking VA health care on Wednesday when approached by Homeland Security police in an Operation Shield exercise. The exercise was for the purpose of “presence deterrence” at a VA health care facility in San Diego. Many veterans’ legal advocates are concerned about what this “presence deterrence” actually means and what is seeks to accomplish for veterans needing care.

According to reports, 20 officers from the DHS Federal Protective Service (FPS) dressed in full black combat gear crowded at the entrance of VA Mission Valley Health Care Clinic on Wednesday. These officers were not wearing any nametags and refused to identify themselves. Four bomb-sniffing dogs accompanied the secretive police group that arrived at the facility in 8 white SUVs, which then blocked all access to parking for disabled veterans. Veterans arriving for care were alarmed and some frightened away.

POLL:  Do you expect Obama to enact Martial Law at some point?

VA Mission Valley Health Care Clinic houses numerous service centers including a general practice clinic, psychiatric clinic, PTSD treatment clinic, and the disability compensation evaluation clinic. The impact of this event on veterans is disturbing.

The advocacy group, Honoring Our Troops (HRT), promptly wrote a formal complaint to VA OIG in Washington, DC after fielding numerous communications from veterans who were shocked by these recent federal secret police actions. OIG has yet to formally acknowledge receipt of their complaint since it was filed several days ago.

According to HRT’s OIG complaint, veterans on site were harassed and threatened when they took pictures and asked questions about this bizarre behavior. One veteran was threatened with a fine of $10,000 and arrest if he did not delete a photo he had taken. Another elderly veteran refused to enter the clinic with his wife. When the veteran’s wife asked a VA doctor about the action, she was told it was a “familiarization exercise.” Is this the new normal at VA facilities that veterans must become familiarized with and used to? And why? What justifies this kind of action by the Feds?

Fat turd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His gun is bigger than your gun and he has a doggy,  Good thing they are in California where the libs have taken away the people's right to bear arms.  In PA we are allowed to open carry we are just not allowed to take into the VA facility.

Wonder how they would react if twenty or so open carry people were there escorting Vets to the door?

Another Obama muscle display against vets. When will it end?

Just wanted to let you know that the officer in this picture is my husband. He served his country in the Marine Corps. He works in Washington Dc not CA. His K-9 partner has been protecting all the federal buildings in DC for the past 7 years. They are an explosive detection team ( bomb dog). My husband is a Christian and a loyal American. Someone has associated this photo with the wrong article. I find your comment extremely offensive. My husband puts his life on the line every day to protect thousands of people that work and visit Washington DC. He is a VETERAN!

It's just anger over all the daily scandals. I hope your husband does the right thing when ordered to do an illegal act by this admin. What you wrote about your husband makes him a potential terrorist to the Obama admin if you don't know already. Semper Fi

Dear Katie;

I'm sorry your husband got caught in this picture, but look at the bright side, by being in this picture he has alerted the American people to the gestapo tactics the treasonous pseudo-president is conducting.  Many American people just want to bury their head in the sand and ignore what is happening.  Nothing gets done that way.  With a picture things can no longer be ignored.   This is just one type of gestapo tactic being foisted on the American public.  They are also trying to claim there are constitutional free zones in this country where they can do what they want and we the people have no say.  Thank your husband for alerting us to what is going on.

Katie is long gone. She or whoever it was came on here and left a couple comments and disappeared. If it was to get people to threaten a federal officer with comments she or whoever was successful.

Where does your husband stand on the Oath Keepers? Is he a member?  It won't be long before he may be called on to violate the peoples right to freely and peaceably assemble... or too keep and bare arms. Has he told you that he would not obey an order to disarm or confiscate law abiding citizens weapons... just curious.

I spent 26 1/2 yrs in the service of our nation and I am very concerned that many of our law enforcement officers will ignore their Constitutional oaths... too defend the constitution as written... not as redefined by government agencies.

Example... the right to freely assemble shall not be abridged. However if one is unable to afford or obtain a PERMIT, to peaceably assemble, their right to do is abridged. The people's permit to assemble peaceably is the Constitution's first amendment.  Telling these people that they must disperse or be arrested is wrong. Trumping up some pretext, such as, public safety or nuisance is an excuse to deny the right of peaceable assemble. That is also wrong.

Where does your husband stand on open carry ... The peaceful display and carrying of arms by the general public?  Is his view constitutional or the product of an abusive government regulation.  I don't envy law enforcement, they have a fine line to walk, and I simply could not walk that line knowing what I do about what is expected. I could not enforce a law or regulation that I believed to be unconstitutional... PERIOD. No manner of indoctrination could convince me that I have one job to do... and the courts can straighten out any Constitutional disputes... thereby compartmentalizing the violation of my oath... to defend the Constitution and the rights of the people under the Constitution.

Hitler depended on a docile and submissive bureaucracy to enforce his edicts on a nation.. Obama and his minions are also depending on submissive and conforming federal and state agents to enforce his edicts and unconstitutional laws/regulations.  If these bureaucrats would refuse to enforce his edicts he would be powerless to fundamentally transform America.

When we finally get rid of the Oval Office terrorist, we'd also need to send his Gestapo forces packing. Every last one of the bastards need to join the unemployment line.

Oh, I so agree with you, Ronald. This is so very outrageous.  Our veterans do not need this kind of treatment. They fought for us and deserve respect and honor and now, THE CARE THEY DESERVE. Fire these people and get new ones in there.

Respectful disagreement, Ronald.  It is PRISON which they all must get for obeying the orders of a traitor.  And traitors should get the death penalty, just like the commie sympathizers the Rosenbergs got.

YES --- Continue with this message so this comes from everybodys lips and posts -- I tire of reading "Oh, Obama knows exactly waht he's doing blah blah blah -- We have to get into peoples minds that these folks have conducted themselves lawlessly and there are consequences to that -- The Full Penalty of the Law -- Death by Firing Squad or by the Noose and life Incarceration in 23 hour solitary in a maximum security prison.  All of them!

Don't count on republicans to be any different. They are just as bad and you can bet if they had control of the government nothing would change.

Kavanaugh Accuser Donated   To Hillary Clinton  10 Times,  60+ Liberal Groups

Reportedly attempted to conceal political activity by scrubbing social media accounts

Over the weekend, a name and face were added to the previously anonymous sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, which is now threatening to derail his nomination. Those looking to obstruct Kavanaugh’s confirmation certainly saved their best for last, as the prior attempts included pathetic stunts such as:

– Claiming to file perjury charges against Kavanaugh, which only Jeff Sessions would have the ability to file.

– Packing the hearings with hysterical protesters, resulting in hundreds of arrests.

– Threatening female Republicans with extortion.

– Cory Booker comparing himself to Spartacus, the escaped slave who led a revolt against the Romans.

The identity of the accuser was revealed as Christine Blasey Ford, who has agreed testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Ford reportedly made the allegations back in July in a letter to Senator Dianne Feinstein, and Feinstein waited until it was close to the vote to confirm Kavanaugh before making the accusations public.

There’s a record of Ford making the accusation in a 2012 therapy session, though Kavanaugh isn’t named in the session notes that Ford gave to the press. Ford alleges that in the early 1980s, Kavanaugh entered a room drunk, pinned her to a bed, and groped her over her clothing. Kavanaugh “categorically denied” the allegations.View image on Twitter

Fin Gomez @finnygo   NEW: Statement from Judge Brett Kavanaugh:

There is a slight discrepancy in the account Ford provided in her letter to Feinstein and in her therapist’s notes, but that could simply be due to an error on her therapists part.

There are however some other questions that need to be answered which call into question Ford’s motives.

As Grabien reported, they include:

1. Why Ford deleted her public social media accounts before revealing herself.

Ford deleted all of her public social media before she came forward, making it difficult to see the advocacy and partisanship she was engaged in the time leading up to her making her allegation public. Of course, Ford may simply value her privacy, but the act of deleting her public postings will inevitably make some wonder what she didn’t want seen.

2. That Ford may have an unrelated grudge against Kavanaugh, as his mother, once a circuit court judge, ruled against Ford’s parents.

In August 1996, Christine Blasey Ford’s parents, Paula and Ralph Blasey, were foreclosed upon. Kavanaugh’s mom, Martha, was then serving as a judge on the Montgomery Country Circuit Court, and she ruled against Christine Ford’s parents.

3. That Ford is a Democrat who donates to left-wing causes, attended the anti-Trump March for Science, and previously signed an open letter challenging Trump’s border policy.

Ford is a political activist who has made dozens of donations to left-wing causes. According to OpenSecrets, she has made more than 60 donations to liberal causes, with almost four dozen to the pro-abortion group, Emily’s List, alone. Ford also donated to the DNC, Hillary Clinton (more than 10 times), Bernie Sanders, and the progressive organizing group ActBlue.

Ford likewise attended the anti-Trump March for Science, where she wore a hat knitted like a human brain, but inspired by the feminist “pussy hats” worn at the Women’s Marches. Ford also added her name to an open letter from health professionals who argued the U.S. border policy resulting in temporary separation of some families was harmful to children’s development.

There’s no statute of limitations on sexual assault in Maryland, where she claims that the assault happened. Rather than go to the police, Ford went to Dianne Feinstein. If her accusations are true, she should immediately file a police report against Kavanaugh and take him to trial. If she doesn’t, perhaps that’s because she knows the consequences of filing a false police report.
