The Associated Press reports Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) is pushing for rule changes to eliminate the 60-vote filibuster threshold in the Senate in order to "win confirmation for some of [President Obama's] nominees for posts overseeing workers' and consumers' rights."

But the question raised by Gun Owners of America (GOA) is: how long will it be until gun control is heaved upon the American people if the filibuster is done away with?

It was a filibuster that put the Manchin/Toomey background check bill into the light long enough for Senators on both sides of the aisle to realize what was in it and reject it.

The bill was defeated on April 17 because it fell six votes shy of 60. But if Reid is successful in changing the rules, then Senator Joe Manchin's (D-WV) gun control bill could "soon be brought up again and passed."

Sadly, that seems to be the only thing left as an option.  If blood flows, the Washington politicians will quickly regret ever allowing the subversion and treason to take place.  If somebody has any better ideas that will actually get rid of the subversives, I'd like to hear it?

I don't doubt the sincerity of this comment but as practical advice there's an awful lot wrong with it:

1. The people who see Washington as 'a bunch of traitors bent on creating a permanent tyranny' and the pressing need as 'smaller government that leaves you alone and follows the Constitution' are a SMALL minority: maybe 10%? When a small minority tries violence against government that is called 'an attempted coup' and it is indeed over quickly, with the revolutionaries either dead or in prison.

2. Militias are 100% infiltrated by government agents. Join one and you put your name on the list of people to be rounded up the minute anything starts.

When you add it all up the only way that patriots win this thing is at the ballot box. I'm sorry that there isn't some quicker way but we gave the Progressives (commies if you like) an 80-year head start and the best thinkers and most energetic do-ers in the world aren't going to overcome that in the less than ten years most of us have been paying attention.

Right now we need to focus on educating ourselves and on recruitment. If the 10% who want small and constitutional government were to become 50% this would indeed be over quickly VIA THE BALLOT BOX, and WE would be the winners.

Obama Lies Again: – Ignores That The Year After Signing The Stimulus More Than (4) Million Jobs Were Lost

Former President Obama, the only President in US history who had his FBI and other Intel agencies spy on the opposition party candidate, claims that he created the great economy that Americans are enjoying today. The only thing Obama created was debt and massive job losses with his horrible economic recovery.

Yesterday the former President tweeted an effort to take credit for President Trump’s successful economy:

Joe Hoft@joehoft

Of course another @BarackObama lie. He can’t open his mouth without lying. 11 years ago the US lost (4.3) million jobs over the next 12 months. Horrible liar.

Barack Obama  @BarackObama

Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history.

President Obama’s policies were a disgrace and a failure. He doubled the national debt in spite of zero interest rates from the Fed. His recovery was the worst in US history.

Also, Obama’s assertion is just plain false. The ‘Stimulus’ was passed in February 2009 right after Obama took over the Presidency. He promised to not pass any bills for at least a week to allow for the bills to be read by the people but lied as soon as he was sworn in. The Stimulus was hundreds and hundreds of pages of government handouts to Democrat districts and it was close to $1 million. This was not what America needed and it led to the Tea Party.

Far-left Wikipedia has this to say about the Stimulus:

Note that in his infinite wisdom, NYT economist Paul Krugman is credited with arguing that “the stimulus was far smaller than the economic crisis warranted”. (He also said the markets would crash and burn if President Trump was elected President.)

The data shows that the 12 months after Obama’s stimulus, the US lost 4.3 million jobs:

In Obama’s first three years he netted a loss of 1.5 million jobs compared to President Trump who has added more than 6.7 million jobs.

When it comes to the economy, the billionaire schools the community organizer every time.
