Governor Says Residents Questioning Refugee Settlement Should Leave His State

Governor Mark Dayton attended a community conversation about race hosted by the St. Cloud NAACP and told people who have been questioning refugee resettlement in the central Minnesota region to “find another state.”

WJON reports the Governor’s statements, “This is a time for everybody who is a Minnesotan, a real Minnesotan to take a stand and say, ‘not in our state.’ If you are that intolerant, that much of a racist and a bigot, then find another state, they really should go somewhere else.” said Dayton.

An audience member replied, “I don’t want to be called a racist, but I do feel that I have a right to question some of the things that are going on.”  He asked the Governor about who was financing the refugee resettlement in St. Cloud and Dayton replied, “The real answer to that is jobs, I think people who come here want jobs,” according to KARE 11.

Another citizen asked about assimilation into central Minnesota culture, a panel member responded by asking what central Minnesota was doing to become a more inclusive society.

The St. Cloud Times reports Dayton as also saying, “Minnesota is not like it was 30, 50 years ago. But, this is Minnesota and you have every right to be here. And anybody who cannot accept your right to be here and this is Minnesota should find another state.”  The paper also quoted him as making a bizarre comment about the state’s citizenry, “Our economy cannot expand based on, white, B+, Minnesota-born citizens. We don’t have enough,” Dayton said.

HIS STATE? When did he buy it? It's the people's state and you are their rep. or did you forget?

What an insulting, clueless idiot this guy is. Wow! Do I hear "recall", anyone?

WTF??? There's a governor that NEEDS RECALL

Recall?   hmmmm.....I dunno.  I can think of a few other things.  Bet we could charge for it too

"His State"!!!

Who does he think he is?   Who was it that elected him?

Has anyone thought about the disease,?  This is now a issue in Germany and many doctors realize that what they are now seeing has no cure.  The German Govt has told the media not to discuss this issue, to keep it  quiet!   Now you have a Gov who wants to import disease, un-American activities as most of the refuges will be Muslim to add to the Somali refugees already there!  Germany also saw a rise in violence with these refugees as they think everything is free, sound familiar.  Just  say NO and remove the toxic politicians who will undermine the good hard working Americans who still live in Minn.!  Watch your tax's  and welfare go up as these people want a  free ride, NOT a Job!

Politicians don't concern themselves with that.  They figure they'll never have to rub elbows with them, so they don't give a damn...

Any public official that accepts muslim refugees (terrorists?) against the wishes of the people who actually pay his salary is a traitor to that state and should be removed.   Just like we need to remove obama who is a traitor to our country.

Florida Sheriff — “I Will Not Enforce Assault Weapons Ban, Neither Will Most Sheriffs”

Dennis Lemma, who is the Sheriff in Central Florida’s Seminole County, told a group of 2nd Amendment activists recently that he would not enforce an assault weapons ban that could soon become Florida law if the “Ban Assault Weapons Now” amendment passes in the Sunshine State.

According to News965, the ban has the following specifications.

The amendment proposed in the state legislature would ban possession of assault weapons, which are defined as “semiautomatic rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition at once, either in fixed or detachable magazine, or any other ammunition feeding device.”

Lemma, an ardent supporter of the 2nd Amendment and a first term sheriff who is running for re-election, said this about whether or not he would enforce such a law.

“It’s not only that I wouldn’t, the majority of sheriffs across the state would not do it,” Lemma said in the video. It’s up to the sheriffs what they are willing to enforce.”
