GOP wants to eliminate shadowy DOJ slush fund bankrolling leftist groups

Image result for doj slush fundThe Obama administration funneled billions of dollars to activist organizations through a Department of Justice slush fund scheme, according to congressional investigators.

“It’s clear partisan politics played a role in the illicit actions that were made,” Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, told Fox News. “The DOJ is the last place this should have occurred.”

Findings spearheaded by the House Judiciary Committee point to a process shrouded in secrecy whereby monies were distributed to a labyrinth of nonprofit organizations involved with grass-roots activism.

“Advocates for big government and progressive power are using the Justice Department to extort money from corporations,” Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton told Fox News. “It’s a shakedown. It’s corrupt, pure and simple.”

There is a recent effort by Republicans to eliminate the practice, which many believe was widely abused during the Obama administration.

When big banks are sued by the government for discrimination or mortgage abuse, they can settle the cases by donating to third-party non-victims. The settlements do not specify how these third-party groups could use the windfall.

So far, investigators have accounted for $3 billion paid to “non-victim entities.”

SICK trey gowdy on the doj on this matter

President Trump, in a recent interview on FOX, was asked how he would evaluate himself after his first month in office. He said he would give himself an A+ for effort but just a C, or C+, for his messaging.

As a member of the public herd it is my opinion that if President Trump intends to modify the messaging, he is focusing on a wrong perception of a problem. It was primarily his messaging that got him elected. He was bold, strong, forthright, honest, and truthful, hardly traits that need modification.

In my view he needs to hit hard. Harder than ever before. This is a war and the Nation is under assault. He knows who the enemy is, and he knows where the enemy is. He must go directly to the head and cut it off, immediately. Allowing the enemy to survive by inflicting wounds of propaganda, and responding by more moderate "presidential" messaging, is a sure way to lose.

He has the people on his side. Use them. Go to them constantly, directly, and tell them who the head of the snake is, and that it is going to be severed.

President Trump says he is a winner. Talk is cheap indeed. Go and win.

We are behind you. We support you. You were not elected to swim in the swamp, but to drain it.

Absolutely... name, names... provide lists and cite their major transgressions... globalism, elitism, corruption for personal gain... etc.  Take it to the big screen and call his enemies out.. they are not going to cooperate with him anyway... so, get on with the criminal investigations and indictments...

Nothing has ever come from a Goudy investigation. Good talk, great show, no consequences.

Jea9...

Nothing comes from ANY INVESTIGATION conducted by Congress.. it is all Kabuki theater.  Prince Machiavelli  would be proud of Congress.

Yes, you are RIGHT. Dog and Pony Hegelian Act 17,987, 231.

that, too.

The liberals, democrats, RINO's are really pushing on AG Sessions

Recusal is not enough
Something fishy is going on between President Trump’s inner circle and the Russian government. The Trump team has denied contacts with Russian officials at least 20 times. But it seems like every day new reports roll in detailing regular meetings between a growing list of senior Trump campaign officials—Jared Kushner and Jeff Sessions are the latest additions—and senior Russian officials. Why do these meetings and cover-ups matter so much? Because, among other reasons, the Trump campaign benefited from Russian interference and hacking in the 2016 presidential election and evidence of these meetings shows the Trump camp may have known about Russia’s meddling all along.
Yesterday, after lying about his contacts with Russian Ambassador Kislyak during his confirmation hearing, Attorney General Sessions recused himself from all further investigations of the Trump campaign and Russia. Recusing himself is literally the least Sessions could do and it’s not enough. We need a truly independent special counsel and an independent 9/11-style commission to get to the bottom of the Trump-Russia connections. Watch this video and contact your member of Congress to demand an independent commission:

Frank... Do you think this is not becoming colossal now?

Yes, it's a HUGE problem. I'm extremely concerned, BUT I am not in the absolute panic mode, .......yet.

It's a problem that's been growing and should receive way more legal attention than it is receiving at this moment. I'm not necessarily getting the impression that the Trump team has their eyes closed to this very serious dilemma, either. However, you and I know that there is that annoying issue called a process. Trump's cabinet has not been fully formed and there is a reason. It's the DEMs intentionally thwarting it. However, calling for Sessions to step down is lunacy. I was the one who was reminded over and over that a coup was not the answer when Obama was destroying our country for 8 years.

Trump is working with a skeleton crew and many of them are Obama hold overs. The secondary problem is, YES, the GOP. While I'm willing to bet there is collusion with the bad guys, namely the McCain/Graham twins, they don't represent the majority. Ted Cruz and Rand Paul are making waves about that and it's a good thing. Other than assembling a coalition to crash the phone banks with angry phones calls, or assembling outside their chambers (as the LEFT would definitely do)..........cite YOUR proposition!

I propose that we all write Trump directly and ask him why sessions seems so demurred and unable to begin draining the swamp... We might also want to inform him that we are concerned that the Russian fiasco is ballooning way out of control and most of it can be traced to the GOP not using their power in Congress to put out the fire... too, reign in the investigations/witch hunts.  While at it ask him why it seems that his Administration is unable to defend its own and so quick to resign... reference Gen. Flynn.

Other than that we should continue to do as we are on this site and others.. along with keeping our family, friends and neighbors informed of the developing issues.  We are at a critical state in the Trump Administration... and Pres Trump needs to examine his alternatives.. does he have sufficient support in the GOP too do what he must in draining the swamp... If not, then he must come up with an alternate course of action... thinking outside the box too engage major reforms... draining the swamp was never going to be easy.

Pelosi Disaster!  95% Of Americans Tuned Out Impeachment Show Trials On Friday — Only The Second Day Of Testimony

Despite the constant hype Americans are already tuning out the sham impeachment trials.

On the second day of the public show trials 95% of Americans turned off the nonsense.

Americans are worn out by all of the fake news and hysteria.

Devastating.

Yawn: 95% of U.S. Adults Skipped Day 2 of Democrats' Impeachment Hearings

Yawn: 95% of U.S. Adults Skipped Friday’s Impeachment Hearings

Americans aren’t exactly obsessed with the Democrats’ impeachment hearings, it seems. Friday’s second day of live, wall-to-wall coverage drew an average of 12.7 million viewers on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN,

Flashback: Horrible News For Shifty Schiff – Majority Of Americans Don’t Want Impeachment, 76% Don’t Trust Dems And Believe Media Is Pushing The Sham

No One in American Wants Impeachment except the Far-left Socialist Democrats and their Corrupt Media. They hate President Trump because he is a winner. He beat them and he’s making America great again as he said he would.

The Democrats and their corrupt media are totally blinded by their rage and they don’t realize that no one is in favor of impeachment.

We reported a week ago that FOX News released a poll where they stated that 49% of Americans were for Trump Impeachment. But their polling was flawed. The real extrapolated results of the poll using an accurate proportion of Republicans, Democrats and Independents showed that only 30% of Americans are in favor of Trump’s Impeachment and they’re all Democrats.

Next, a few days ago we reported on another poll that was consistent with the results of our extrapolated FOX News poll.

Nearly three quarters of all Americans have little or no trust in the way that Schifty Schiff is running the impeachment process –

You won’t hear this in the mainstream media: Nearly three fourths of Americans have little to no trust in the House Democrats’ handling of their impeachment process. 🤔

Today another poll was released with similar results.

Most Americans believe that the corrupt media is trying to help get President Trump impeached. Three-quarter of Republicans, half of independents and even a third of Democrats believe this to be the case. No one trusts Schifty Shiff or the corrupt media pushing his impeachment sham.

1- "Seventy-six percent (76%) of Republicans and a plurality (48%) of voters not affiliated with either major political party say most reporters are trying to help impeach Trump, a view shared by only 36% of Democrats."

Let's recast that last phrase

Most Say Media Working With Democrats to Impeach Trump...

This is perhaps the worst gaffe in modern political history.

This Schiff Show does not have a happy ending for the Democrats. Even with the support of the entire corrupt fake news media, it’s a total sham and everyone knows it!
