GOP leaders: National security will end Carson and Trump campaigns

Donald Trump and Ben Carson have demonstrated more staying power than anyone predicted. But now, after the terrorist attacks on an American ally, Republican elders think their party’s flirtation with inexperience is nearing its end.

The reemergence of foreign policy atop the Republican agenda will force voters to reevaluate the outsider candidates, particularly as both Trump and Carson display a lack of knowledge about national security and the terrorist threat, party stalwarts said.

“The losers are going to be Donald Trump and Ben Carson on national security,” said Katon Dawson, the former chairman of the South Carolina GOP. “As the Republican base sobers up, they are the two, if this story lasts a long time, it's going to hurt."

Indeed, in interviews with current and former GOP chairs, veteran operatives, lobbyists and strategists, the long-held conviction that neither Trump nor Carson will win the Republican nomination has only strengthened since the attacks in Paris last week.

Fred Malek, who has advised multiple Republican presidents and is not affiliated with any contender this cycle, said the inexperience Trump and Carson reveal in their rhetoric will drive GOP primary voters toward another candidate.

Desperate idiots will conjure up desperate ideas. An administration that has bankrupted the country, now has no manufacturing base, has no real job base, supports a "to big to fail" banking cartel (their buddies), has a round robin affair with the wall street crowd, institutes illegal programs such as ocare " which is failing", attempts at every turn to circumvent the Constitution ( gun control), attempting to let UN policy usurp the Constitution, instituting Sharia law in our courts, opens the borders to anyone that wants to walk in terrorists included, has made more enemies world wide by covert means in the last ten years than the country has had in the last one hundred and fifty years. This is the short list

Vote Trump and Carson.Get rid of these bums. They couldn't run a whorehouse in an Alaskan mining town.

LMAO! Trump is already WAY ahead of the RNC RINO group with ideas to handle the muslim invasion.
First, he is willing to call it like he sees it, "islamic terrorists".
Second, he has stated all illegal muslims as well as any other type of illegal alien HAVE to go.
Third, he's going to "build the wall".
Fourth, and most important, he's identified the BEST humanitarian plan for the muslims and Christians of the middle east, build a "safe place" in their own country.
Result??? Trump wins in a landslide!
Carson??? Not so much.

MORE B.S., RIDICULOUS....!!

To quote Barry Goldwater,;  " Extremism in the defense of  Liberty is no vice; Moderation in the pursuit of Justice is no virtue ."

It's time we resurrect the " ways of our forefathers " and live by the words of our nation's PATRIOTS !!!

Who's better? Romney...McCain? I think not. I wouldn't trust McCain with anything involving responsibility. Bought, and paid for.

Is this a threat? They want to keep the status quo so much that they will resort to murder of these frontrunners? I am reading between the lines.

It seems they are so angry that their men are at the bottom of the poll that they will put out any statement that might change things the way they want it to be!

GO TRUMP; GO CRUZ... and watch your back!

Well they can just sit on their collective  rears and watch what we vote for.  If they like Bush so much, invite him home for Thanksgiving dinner and keep him.  We don't want him.

Disagree. They will actually listen to the military generals and other foreign policy experts. You don't need experience to know that a force or country wants to destroy us and that you can't shut your eyes and hope they go away like Obama has done.

They will not be tied up in political favors, political correctness and ego mania and with trying to force their non American ideology unto American citizens.

Eli

Leave these myopic stupid I know what is good for you GOP Socialists alone.  They See nothing, They Know noting and who are you or me to educate them?

As long as the GOP elite are alive and well the country is the losers their problem is that they have no control over Trump and that scares them. He does not need anyone's money and he says what what he believes and the voters love it.

These people, and I use the term loosely, are so full of crap, they need to remember to WIPE THEIR EARS, before they exit the men's room.

Horrible: Democrats Set The Constitution On Fire With Fraudulent Impeachment

House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning after an investigation that violated fundamental provisions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The investigation of the president began with the complaint of a so-called “whistleblower” who turned out to be a rogue Central Intelligence Agency employee, protected by a lawyer who had called for a “coup” against Trump in early 2017.

Democrats first demanded that the “whistleblower” be allowed to testify. But after House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was found to have lied about his committee’s contact with the “whistleblower,” and after details of the “whistleblower’s” bias began to leak, Democrats reversed course. In violation of the President Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to confront his accuser, Democrats refused to allow the “whistleblower” to testify. They argue the president’s procedural rights, even if they existed, would not apply until he was tried in the Senate — but they also invented a fraudulent “right to anonymity” that, they hope, might conceal the whistleblower even then.

Schiff began the “impeachment inquiry” in secret, behind the closed doors of the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) in the basement of the U.S. Capitol, even though none of the testimony was deemed classified. Few members of Congress were allowed access. Schiff allowed selective bits of testimony to leak to friendly media, while withholding transcripts of testimony.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), having allowed the secret process to unfold, legitimized it with a party-line vote authorizing the inquiry. The House resolution denied President Trump the procedural rights enjoyed by Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, and denied the minority party the traditional right to object to witnesses called by the majority.

Rather than the House Judiciary Committee, which traditionally handles impeachment, Pelosi also deputized the House Intelligence Committee to conduct fact-finding; the Judiciary Committee was turned into a rubber stamp. Schiff held a few public hearings, but often failed to release transcripts containing exculpatory evidence until after they had passed.

In the course of the Intelligence Committee’s investigation, Schiff quietly spied on the telephone records of his Republican counterpart, Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA). He also snooped on the phone records of a journalist, John Solomon; and on the phone records of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, acting as President Trump’s personal lawyer.

Schiff’s eavesdropping violated both the First Amendment right to press freedom and the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. Yet he proceeded undeterred by constitutional rights, publishing the phone logs in his committee’s report without warning, confirmation, or explanation, alleging that Nunes and the others were part of a conspiracy to assist the president’s allegedly impeachable conduct. When Republicans on the Judiciary Committee asked the Intelligence Committee’s majority counsel, Daniel Goldman, to explain the phone logs, he refused to answer,

Ironically, Schiff had done exactly what Democrats accuse Trump of doing: abused his power to dig up dirt on political opponents, then obstructed a congressional investigation into his party’s and his committee’s misconduct.

Democrats’ articles of impeachment include one for the dubious charge of “abuse of power,” which is not mentioned in the Constitution; and one for “obstruction of Congress,” which in this case is an abuse of power in itself.

Alexander Hamilton, writing about impeachment in Federalist 65, warned that “there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.” Democrats have fulfilled Hamilton’s worst fears.

The Trump impeachment will soon replace the 1868 impeachment of President Andrew Johnson — which the House Judiciary Committee staff actually cited as a positive precedent — as the worst in American history.

In service of their “coup,” Democrats have trampled the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Republic has never been in greater danger.
