GOP considers holding off on repealing ObamaCare taxes

Image result for cut taxes nowCongressional Republicans are considering holding off on repealing some of ObamaCare's taxes, according to lobbyists familiar with the discussions.

GOP lawmakers on the House Ways and Means Committee discussed the possibility of keeping some of the taxes in place during a retreat last week at the Library of Congress, the sources say.

Even if some of the taxes are not removed as part of the initial repeal bill, it does not necessarily mean they will remain indefinitely. Some ObamaCare taxes could be dealt with as part of a larger tax reform bill later in the year.

Still, there is at least a possibility that some taxes could remain in place to provide revenue for a replacement healthcare measure.

Discussions are still in flux, however, and ObamaCare taxes could be repealed right away. Including the law’s taxes in a repeal bill could be an easier political move for Republicans, given the importance many have placed on repealing as much of the law as possible.

if it wasn't so predictable it'd be infuriating. the mandate from the electorate is repeal it in it's entirety. Not 'in part', or 'replace', just repeal it dammit. what's so hard to understand about that??  only politicians can get away with pretending to be so dense.

Once they get their greedy hands on taxpayer money, they are always reluctant to let go.

Obamacare needs to be completely repealed including the taxes. And it doesn't need to be replaced with another Obamacare.

the rhinos need to be routed out

Hell no, the rings are coming out of the wood work before Trump takes office.

Obozo Care needs to be repealed all of it every single word.

what do they not get about us being tired of this bullsh**. Get rid of those penalties for not having insurance also. Since when are Americans being forced to buy a product many do not want. Do not mess around with us. 2 years is not that far away.

the republikrats don't care because our only option is to vote for their demonkrat party allies.  What we need is to rid ourselves of both political parties, they are the same, two wings of the same buzzard, the new world order socialist party!!!!!

THese idiots don't get it.   Get rid of OBUMO Taxes on healthcare.   Whether it is taxing the employer for employing over 50.   Whether if is taxing if the worker works more than 28 hours a week.   Please explain why our healthcare could be wiped out over night when the Dems illegally pushed Obumocare thru.... Open up healthcare for people to get their own.  Insurance across state lines(which is all the Obumocare bill should have been.)     How much $$$$$$$$$ do these politicians get in DC from lobbiest,  donors.   Think of the country not your pocketbook.   Politicians palms are always open.

The prices of insurance will come down if there is competition.     If people can decide what they need.  Not what some idiot in DC thinks.... that does not live in the real world.

They met a tax they couldn't like and raise it. We the middle class are done getting robbed and screwed over by Washington.

SICK: Leprosy On The Rise In Los Angeles

Ahh, the joys of open borders and Democrat leadership.

California is not just a public toilet but now there is evidence that leprosy is on the rise in Los Angeles County.

Barack Obama changed US law in 2016 and allowed immigrants with blistering STDs and leprosy to migrate to the US.

Medscape reported:

Leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease, is rarely seen in the United States, but cases continue to emerge in Los Angeles County, a new report says.

“Hansen’s disease still exists, and we need to educate medical students and physicians,” coauthor Dr. Maria Teresa Ochoa from Keck Medical Center of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, told Reuters Health by email.

Dr. Ochoa and colleagues identified 187 patients with the disease in a review of medical records from their leprosy clinic spanning 1973 to 2018. Most patients were Latino, originating from Mexico, and they experienced a median delay in diagnosis of more than three years, the team reports JAMA Dermatology, online August 7.

Multibacillary leprosy (MB) cases outnumbered paucibacillary leprosy (PB) cases by nearly eight to one (88.6% vs. 11.4%, respectively), and Latino patients were more likely than non-Latino patients to have MB, as were patients from Central or South America (versus other regions).

Most patients (80.7%) received multidrug therapy, and most (92.6%) received antibiotics for more than two years, especially if they had MB.

Only about half of patients (56.7%) had World Health Organization (WHO) grade 0 disability (no signs or symptoms suggestive of leprosy or disability) at the one-year follow-up, whereas 16.0% had grade 1 disability (loss of protective sensation) and 26.2% had grade 2 disability (visible deformity) at the last follow-up.

Among the patients who lost protective sensation, 87.7% (50/57) did not regain it following therapy.
