Fox Reporter Suspended After "Insensitive" Comments About Eric Garner’s Death

Outrage ensued after a Fox reporter allegedly wrote an insensitive comment regarding the choke hold death of Eric Gardner. Erika Reidt is a freelance reporter for Fox Deportes. According to BuzzFeed News, Reidt commented on an Instagram picture of Kobe Bryant wearing a shirt with the words “I Can’t Breathe” written on the front. ” I can’t breathe” are the last words Eric Garner said after being put in a choke hold that ultimately claimed his life. The phrase has become popular among those protesting police brutality. Reidt apparently was not a fan of the phrase, and she expressed that by writing,

“I’m gonna start wearing a shirt that says ‘I can breathe because I obey the law,’”

Needless to say, backlash occurred immediately. People were enraged by what she said. Her Twitter and Instagram accounts were flooded with angry comments. One person tweeted, “Hey @FOXDeportes, curious if you were aware your correspondent @ErikaReidt uses social media to victim blame.” Another user said on Instagram “What a stupid comment, I hope you lose your job.”

The Fox reporter went straight into damage control mode saying, “I want to clarify in regards to the comment about Eric Garner, my account was hacked & apparently that comment was posted without my consent.”
The public wasn’t falling for the ” I’ve been hacked ” excuse, citing that after the initial comment was posted, she thanked someone for defending it. A comment that she claimed was posted by a hacker.

I am all for this woman. These rag tag players get away with their slime and rest can say anything. That is total BS. Fox has become as worthless as other networks.  FOX =  FOR OBAMA EXCELLENCE.

This crap about these poor black men that treated so bad by the police if they where not braking the law none of this would have happened Mike Brown a thug caught on Video in a strong armed robberies walking down the middle of street and attacking a policeman but the Black community cant see the fact if Mr. brown would have complied with the officer he would be a live today!

Why is it that some black young men think that laws are for everyone but them is it they where never taught to trust the police when they where young ?

When will Black American wake up and understand that are the only ones that can fix this problem... we cant make there children go to school we cant make them respect them self's or others we can stop the Thug Mentality that is killing so meany young men we cant stop the drug gangs that are truing once good neighborhoods in to Rat Holes where the worst of things happens everyday murders rapes robberies is common place When will they stop it.

All Libs take offense when a simple truth is projected, just don't break the law.  Maybe they have some guilt, maybe they are criminals, lets confront them with those questions.  If you're conservative you are chastised and targeted for having legitimate questions.

What and where is the Fox station and the phone number

Instead of making excuses, she should have stood up for her comment.  She is right. Both Brown and Garner would probably be alive today if they had not stupidly resisted.

This intimidation with political correctness has to stop.

,BUT obummer and the liberal commies in D.C. are putting a chock hold on

It only applies to ghetto/libs.

There are elements out there who will stoop to hacking and utilizing someone's social media to forward their objectives.  These blackmen lost their lives by NOT obeying the law.  What is so hard to understand??

Insensitive, come on. Liberals are too thin skinned, which we already knew. They hate the truth.

I thought Fox was fair and balanced.  I thought you could say what you felt to be true or your belief.  Not so with this news.  Please this is such a nanny state. Just say it  feelings hurt  put your big girl pants on and deal with it.

Liberalism is destroying this nation. It is a stepping stone to Communism.

Horrible: Democrats Set The Constitution On Fire With Fraudulent Impeachment

House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning after an investigation that violated fundamental provisions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The investigation of the president began with the complaint of a so-called “whistleblower” who turned out to be a rogue Central Intelligence Agency employee, protected by a lawyer who had called for a “coup” against Trump in early 2017.

Democrats first demanded that the “whistleblower” be allowed to testify. But after House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was found to have lied about his committee’s contact with the “whistleblower,” and after details of the “whistleblower’s” bias began to leak, Democrats reversed course. In violation of the President Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to confront his accuser, Democrats refused to allow the “whistleblower” to testify. They argue the president’s procedural rights, even if they existed, would not apply until he was tried in the Senate — but they also invented a fraudulent “right to anonymity” that, they hope, might conceal the whistleblower even then.

Schiff began the “impeachment inquiry” in secret, behind the closed doors of the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) in the basement of the U.S. Capitol, even though none of the testimony was deemed classified. Few members of Congress were allowed access. Schiff allowed selective bits of testimony to leak to friendly media, while withholding transcripts of testimony.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), having allowed the secret process to unfold, legitimized it with a party-line vote authorizing the inquiry. The House resolution denied President Trump the procedural rights enjoyed by Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, and denied the minority party the traditional right to object to witnesses called by the majority.

Rather than the House Judiciary Committee, which traditionally handles impeachment, Pelosi also deputized the House Intelligence Committee to conduct fact-finding; the Judiciary Committee was turned into a rubber stamp. Schiff held a few public hearings, but often failed to release transcripts containing exculpatory evidence until after they had passed.

In the course of the Intelligence Committee’s investigation, Schiff quietly spied on the telephone records of his Republican counterpart, Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA). He also snooped on the phone records of a journalist, John Solomon; and on the phone records of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, acting as President Trump’s personal lawyer.

Schiff’s eavesdropping violated both the First Amendment right to press freedom and the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. Yet he proceeded undeterred by constitutional rights, publishing the phone logs in his committee’s report without warning, confirmation, or explanation, alleging that Nunes and the others were part of a conspiracy to assist the president’s allegedly impeachable conduct. When Republicans on the Judiciary Committee asked the Intelligence Committee’s majority counsel, Daniel Goldman, to explain the phone logs, he refused to answer,

Ironically, Schiff had done exactly what Democrats accuse Trump of doing: abused his power to dig up dirt on political opponents, then obstructed a congressional investigation into his party’s and his committee’s misconduct.

Democrats’ articles of impeachment include one for the dubious charge of “abuse of power,” which is not mentioned in the Constitution; and one for “obstruction of Congress,” which in this case is an abuse of power in itself.

Alexander Hamilton, writing about impeachment in Federalist 65, warned that “there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.” Democrats have fulfilled Hamilton’s worst fears.

The Trump impeachment will soon replace the 1868 impeachment of President Andrew Johnson — which the House Judiciary Committee staff actually cited as a positive precedent — as the worst in American history.

In service of their “coup,” Democrats have trampled the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Republic has never been in greater danger.
