Shocking Schumer

Chuck Schumer

Even Chuck Schumer, the New York senator and a man who never found a global trade deal too ugly to hug, fears that the Trans-Pacific Partnership would let corporations roll back laws at every level of government. Yes, the TPP is shameful.

Senator Chuck Schumer, a leader of the corporate wing of congressional Democrats and heir apparent to outgoing Minority Leader Harry Reid, never met a global trade deal too ugly to hug.

So when he says, “This is really troubling,” you know his eyes have been singed by something truly hideous.

That “something” is the trade and investment scam called the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

The TPP only masquerades as a trade deal. It’s actually a gross enlargement of multinational corporate power over our people’s sovereignty.

Specifically, a leaked chapter of this secretly negotiated, 12-nation deal empowers foreign corporations to challenge America’s laws, rules, and court rulings — whether local, state, or national — by suing our governments in private, corporate-run tribunals set up by the United Nations or the World Bank.

That’s what made Chuck Schumer nearly upchuck.

Exactly.“Savvy, deep-pocketed foreign conglomerates,” he gasped, “could challenge a broad range of laws we pass at every level of government, such as made-in-America laws or anti-tobacco laws.”

Moreover, global corporate giants from Japan, Australia, Mexico, or other nations in the TPP could sue us not just for any actual harm they claim to suffer because of, say, our clean water laws, but for undermining their “investment-backed expectations.”

Translated from corporate-speak, that means a foreign conglomerate could haul our clean water regulations before a tribunal just by claiming that the rules undermine profits.

The corporate and governmental elites who want to keep this raw deal a secret knew that its uglies would gag you, me, and even Schumer. So they added an extra layer of secrecy, mandating that the sovereignty-busting chapter not be declassified until four years after the TPP is approved.

They probably have something worse already set in place for us knowing them... So beware free trade isn't free. .TPP is bad for us, wake up America. They want it so bad they will do almost anything to sneak it in...

I don't trust Ernst anymore..I even voted for her, thinking she would be a great senator...guess she proved me wrong...I wish they would read these things before voting on them...they just keep letting Obama ride over the top of us on every thing that is going on...He is going to, and almost has ruined this country...Time for a huge change in the way we let this Nation be run...we are going to have to change a lot of things to straighten this country out...

Cruz and Cotton also. Do we have anyone left we can trust?

Hey Richard L. Park...... Did you read the vote posted below...That's where I got my information from..Now you can see for yourself that she voted  for the TPP.  I had emailed her about not voting for this and she told me that it would open more trade for Iowa...I think she got her information wrong on this one.  Either she was lied to, which could have happened, or she is falling in line with the Democrats on this stuff.  I am going to ride my harley over to the Roast and Ride that she is throwing on the 6th, this Saturday.  I am going to ask her, if I get the chance, why she voted on this, when all I have heard about this trade agreement is that the other nations can even sue America, if they don't like the laws and rules we make on this...Not very good, if you ask me, unless that is a bunch of BS they have been feeding us also...

Rich,,,if we don't do something pretty fast in this country, we are going to lose it to the Demo's and the Rino's also.  So far, it looks like the Republicans aren't going to do a damn bit better after we fought to get them in office...I don't know what we are doing wrong, except us taking our country back is all we have let that we can do ..

Obamacare; 'we'll have to pass it to see what's in it!" HELLO! Now Obama has out done the Obama care law, we don't even get to see this one, Even congress has to sign in to look it over and I a sure you that Obama's minions are in the back ground changing the bill even as congressmen read it. I also found out that we are not allowed to see the Bill for three years if and when it passes, WTF! Obama the new benchmark for non-transparency and the most untrustworthy person to ever hold the office of President of America wants this piece of crap passed, I don't think so!

Email your congressmen and let them know " This Dog won't hunt!"

If Schumer is against it you know it's BAD !!.

Me thinks the Republicans are being set up. Who do you thing the Dems will blame for the problems that the TPP generate. Should get them back in control of Congress and the WH. Guess the label for the Republicans as "The Stupid Party" is correct.

Yikes !!! Ocasio-Cortez: We Need A ‘Multigendered, Multigeographic’ United States

The United States of America needs to be “multigendered” and “multigeographic,” according to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who endorsed fellow socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) at the “Bernie’s Back Rally” in New York on Saturday.

The freshman lawmaker and “Squad” member officially endorsed Sanders during a rally in Queensbridge Park in Long Island City, New York, on Saturday and called for more diversity in the U.S., arguing that it should not only be “multiracial” and “multigenerational” but “multigeographic” and “multigendered.”

“We need a United States that really, truly, and authentically is operated, owned, and decided by working – and all – people in the United States of America,” Ocasio-Cortez said to applause.

“That is what it – it is multiracial, multigendered, multigenerational, and multigeographic,” she said, failing to elaborate on what that specifically looks like.

“We have to come together, not ignoring our differences but listening to them, prioritizing them, understanding injustice,” she continued.

The socialist lawmaker also implied that rampant racism is still alive and well in the U.S., telling the crowd that it is essential to understand “that we operate in a context where slavery evolved into Jim Crow, evolved into mass incarceration, [and] evolved into the realities we have today.”
