Energy Department rejects Trump's request for names of employees going to climate meetings

Image result for drain the swampThe Department of Energy said Tuesday it is refusing to cooperate with a Trump transition team request that it hand over all names of employees who have participated in international climate changeconferences.

"We will not be providing any individual names to the transition team," Energy Department spokesman Eben Burnham-Snyder said in a statement sent to the Washington Examiner.

Other than that, the agency plans to be "forthcoming with all publicly available information with the transition team," he said.

News of the 74-question list from the Trump transition team arose last week. The questionnaire contains the controversial request that Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M., said Monday appeared to be "badgering" employees for supporting research on climate change. Udall is the top Democrat on panels under both the Senate Foreign Relations and Appropriations committees that deal with energy and environment policy and funding, where he likely will raise the matter.

This is not going to go over very good for them in Jan 17th 2017, then he does not have to ask.

Uh, Trump will be inaugurated on JANUARY 20TH.

That said, and I voted for trump, this appears to be a political witch hunt, and Trump is wrong for engaging in this practice.  Many of the names he wants probably WENT to those conferences on orders from -- hello???  THEIR BOSS!!

HA-HA! It doesn't matter if these left-wing wack-jobs do not want to cooperate today or tomorrow. They told us where their empty heads are at, so now we know. Shame on them for being SO stupid. Okay, so they've sent their childish message to the Trump team and you can be sure it will be ignored post January 20th.

Memo to the malcontents hiding in the bureaucracy: You misguided ideologues, who were absolutely abusive, who NEVER should have had an ounce of jurisdiction in the area of energy, water and land ...... Take your juvenile signs of protest and go right back to your mother's basement where you belong. You're so done and so is your imbecilic unconstitutional law making and authoritarian mandates that YOU unnecessarily forced upon millions of innocent hard working people! Get used to the idea real fast that you WILL be rooted out, and your personal nightmare will have just begun. You miscreants deserve it and more!

Trump will eliminate all dissenters and anybody not 100% behind him. If he is nice he will send them to re-education camp but he shouldn't be nice to anybody who doesn't pledge total allegiance to him. This is the only way to take our country back and our republic. We do not need an opposition that is against making America Great Again!

Such an approach scares me. Like really.

Isn't that what Fidel Castro and Adolph Hitler did ?

There is no question Trump needs to rid the US of destructive libtards and democraps, is there? What other suggestions do you have? Would you like to let them oppose Trump when he will make America great again? Are you with us or against us? There is no middle way.

He needs to lead, not silence dissent.

Trump will lead. But when Trump will make America great again it will be a question of you being for it or against it. It will be support or dissent. Only one option will be acceptable.

We do NOT need "Re-Education" camps.  That is something the socialists and communists engage in.

We need everybody 100% behind Trump. Why would you want people to stand in his way? Why should we let democraps derail Trump? I think all Americans need to pledge allegiance to Trump who will make America great again.

Joe Biden On Violence Against Women:   We Have To Keep ‘Punching At It, And Punching At It, And Punching At It’

The audience laughed as he said this.

Former Vice President Joe Biden said that America needs to be “punching” back to combat violence against women during Wednesday’s Democratic debate.

Biden was asked if he would tackle specific issues regarding the #MeToo movement at the beginning of his presidency, if he were to be elected. The former vice president previously sponsored the 1994 Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), which aimed to protect victims of domestic violence.

The presidential candidate responded to the question about assaulting women by using the phrase “punching” repeatedly, apparently not thinking about the implications of using such a word.

“No man has a right to raise a hand to a woman in anger other than in self-defense, and that rarely ever occurs,” Biden said. “So we have to just change the culture, period, and keep punching at it and punching at it and punching at it. No, I really mean it.”

A few people laughed in the audience as he said this.

Biden added that it is important to pass the Violence Against Women Act, which has passed in the House and held up in the Senate. The former Vice President also suggested that America has to “fundamentally change the culture” of how women are treated, noting that it is “everyone’s responsibility.”

“It’s a gigantic issue, and we have to make it clear from the top, from the president on down that we will not tolerate it,” Biden said. “We will not tolerate this culture.”
