John, did you know Rep. Ellison was raised Roman Catholic? Did you know he went to Wayne State University and the University of MN Law School where he received a Doctorate of Law?

So what makes you think that he knows nothing of US civics or history? Could it be that like many blacks and Muslims he disagrees with what's happened in US civics and history, even if he's wrong?  By the way, your educational backgrounds leaves something to be desired.

Robert  I know that you are a well educated person .I know this by how you tell every one their wrong with out exception.  with your socialist ideas it's your education that is lacking .http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/01/politics/kfile-keith-ellison-nation-o...

What difference does it make that he was raised Catholic.  How you were raised doesn't mean that how you believe as an adult.  He took his oath on the koran....that says a lot about where his loyalties lie.  And he thinks Germany bombed Pearl Harbor????  And when he went to college they were already dumbing them down and not teaching true if any American history.  If nothing else.........he's a democrat, and these democrats are NOTHING like democrats of old.  They shouldn't even be called dems........they might as well just come right out and say their part of the socialist/communist party.  University of MN?   MN along with MI has become a prime muslim/islam hub.  His grandfather worked for the NAACP in Lousiana....MORE brainwashing.  At 19 he converted from Catholicism to islam.  He's written articles in support of Louis Farrakhan and nation of islam.  As a law student in 1989 and 1990, Ellison wrote several columns under the name "Keith E. Hakim" in the student newspaper, the Minnesota Daily. He defended Farrakhan against claims of racism,[109] and further wrote that Farrakhan "is also not an anti-Semite" and called affirmative action a "sneaky" form of compensation for slavery, suggesting that white Americans instead pay reparations to blacks.[110][111][112][113]

During his 2006 campaign, his wife acknowledged she had multiple sclerosis, he filed for legal separation.  WOW....what a guy to bail on his wife and the mother of his children.  He was endorsed by Bernie Sanders for DNC.....yeah...that speaks volumes.  This guy is an ATTORNEY, and has no qualms about breaking our laws:  during his campaign, opponents raised the repeated suspension of his driver's license for failure to pay tickets and fines. He also did pay income taxes from 1992 to 2000, and the IRS put a lien on his home. In his first week of Congress he voted in favor of raising the minimum wage, funding stem cell research, and to let medicare negotiate pharmacy prices.  He introduced the Money Remittances Imparovement Act H.R. 4386, a bill to make it easier for nonbank financial business to provide payments internationally.  Ellison said it was time to celebrate for all diaspora communities including Somali and Hmong communities.  He introduced a bill to outlaw universal default, where credit card companies could raise interest rates on customers who are behind on payments.  Yeah...people are already having trouble making ends meet.....and he wants to make it HARDER?  On what planet is that a good idea?

In March 2014, Ellison was asked by comedian Bill Maher, "Why doesn't your party come out against the Second Amendment? It's the problem." Ellison responded, "I sure wish they would. I sure wish they would."

After President George W. Bush vetoed HR 1591 that provided military funding for the Iraq War because it contained timetables for withdrawal, Ellison joined House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in voting "no" to HR 2206 that provided the funding without any timetables. The bill passed the House on a 280 to 142 margin.

Ellison joined fellow Minnesota freshman Democrat Tim Walz in opposing President George W. Bush's plan to increase troop levels in Iraq.  Ellison a close tie to NIAC advocaters for closer ties between the U.S. and Iran, he was one of 5 democrats who voted against the 2015 Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act.

Ellison was arrested along with seven others including U.S. Representatives James McGovern, John Lewis, Donna Edwards, Lynn Woolsey for civil disobedience in 2009 in Washington D.C. to protest that Omar al-Bashir had asked for international aid groups bringing food, health care and water to leave Darfur.

Ellison was the 2nd rep to endorse Sanders, then supported Hillary for President.

Campaign contributions from members of CAIR[edit]

During the 2006 election Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR) and James Yee, the former Muslim chaplain at Guantanamo Bay, spoke at an August 25 fundraiser for Ellison.[111][118] Awad and Ellison knew each other as they attended the University of Minnesota Law School at the same time.[7][119] According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Ellison accepted individual contributions from Nihad Awad and another leader of CAIR[not specific enough to verify]; Ellison responded that he had fully disclosed all contributions and said that he had "nothing to hide".[120] Ellison stressed that he was supported by individuals, and that the non-profit organization itself did not endorse his candidacy.[121]

His Republican opponent in the race, Alan Fine, criticized Ellison for accepting these contributions, saying that CAIR was "a group that Democrats say has deep ties to terrorism".[122] In response to Ellison's opponents, CAIR leaders Parvez Ahmed and Nihad Awad wrote, "We are proud of our personal donations to Ellison's campaign" and derided any 'guilt by association' arguments.[123]

Campaign finance violations[edit]

In early 2006, the Minnesota State Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board reprimanded Ellison for unreported campaign contributions, discrepancies in cash balances, and misclassified disbursements during his campaigns for the Minnesota House of Representatives. These transgressions occurred in the years 2002–04. In 2005, the board opened an investigation, and Ellison was subpoenaed and fined.[124][125]

Ellison was repeatedly fined for late filings,[126] was sued twice by the Attorney General of Minnesota, and was warned about absent or incomplete disclosures.[30][111][127][128]

NOW......is this REALLY someone we want as part of our leadership in the United States???

SWEET: Republican Representative Introduces Resolution To Expel Nancy Pelosi From Congress

Louisiana Republican Rep. Ralph Abraham has introduced legislation to expel Speaker Nancy Pelosi from the House of Representatives.

Abraham’s resolution accuses Pelosi of a “vicious crusade” against President Donald Trump.

Above: Rep. Ralph Abraham

“Nancy Pelosi’s vicious crusade against our lawfully-elected President is nothing more than a politically-motivated witch hunt and it must be stopped,” Abraham said in a statement obtained by Fox News. “She has disgraced the people’s House and weaponized the Speaker’s gavel for her party’s political gain.”

“House Democrats spent nearly three years obsessed with election meddling only to dwarf any such efforts with their own deceitful plan to nullify the 2016 election and prevent President Trump from winning in 2020,” the statement continued. “I have introduced a resolution calling for her to be expelled from the House and for the Speaker’s Office to be vacated.”

The text of the resolution, which is most definitely not going to pass the Democrat-controlled House reads: “Resolved, That pursuant to Article 1, Section 5, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution, Representative Nancy Pelosi be, and she hereby is, expelled from the House of Representatives and the Office of the Speaker is declared to be vacant.”

Fox News notes that constitutional clause holds that “Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.”
