Despite Trust Act, Boston police handed over illegal aliens for deportation

Image result for deportation of illegal aliensBoston’s Trust Act — designed to reassure immigrants that city police would not help deport them — has a loophole that was used to turn over nine men to federal immigration officials, city records show.

The nine men turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement in 2015 had serious criminal histories, according to police, making their detention less of a public issue. But advocates worry that the same loophole could be used to detain and deport any immigrant for so much as a traffic violation — putting undocumented families at risk if President-elect Donald Trump follows through on his promise to expand deportations.

Boston’s version of the 2014 Trust Act was intended by city councilors to keep police out of the business of deporting immigrants. Councilors said the measure would ensure that immigrants see city police as people they can turn to for help — and not as a threat.

The newly discovered loophole in Boston’s Trust Act involves a technical matter of timing: The act specifically forbids police from detaining immigrants for ICE after a judge has ordered them released. But police said the act does not ban turning over immigrants to ICE while they are still trying to make bail.

Trump’s ascension is time of doubt

The nine included including an Algerian man with a felony conviction for swinging a hammer at a South Boston bar owner; a Dominican man who returned to the United States illegally after being deported four times and is now in federal prison; and a citizen of Vietnam with assault convictions who has more recently been the scourge of Macy’s in Downtown Crossing, pilfering hundreds of dollars in watches, clothing, and hats from the store.

“We don’t claim to be the immigration police,” said Boston police Lieutenant Michael McCarthy, explaining the decision. “We operate within the parameters of the ordinance.”

If a city passes an ordinance that contridicts federal law,the solution is simple jail the mayor and council

Agreed...they are not Americans if they pass illegals acts sheltering illegal criminals guys are in favor of NOT deporting illegals???????

Who's Federal Laws, Obama's or the Crown Of England, or was the NWO Bush Family, or maybe the Clinton's Laws for NAFTA.

If they can not come here and pass a back ground check, they do not need to be here, and they will be removed.

A Look into the tomorrow.

i want a lot more of this

With the curse of obama finally being lifted maybe the illegal acts he implemented will go by the wayside, and the rights of the States to protect their citizens will become paramount to police activities.  No, I won't hold my breath until it happens.

The livelihood... not lives... of millions of ILLEGAL ALIENS hangs in the balance as it should.. they are here illegally, and need to be deported.  The US is not responsible for the livelihood of illegal aliens.  Welfare and social services provided to illegals is not a constitutional or legal duty and must end.  There is a vast difference for being responsible for the life of an illegal alien and his livelihood.. standard of living.

It would be better if these illegal aliens self-deport as soon as possible... Maybe, a little more fear would go a long way to help them leave.  Criminals don't deserve security from arrest, they need to fear being arrested and immediately deported, anytime they contact the local police... they don't need to be rewarded with security, free medical care, educational benefits, welfare or jobs.

Asylum is becoming a buzz word for avoiding deportation... when Trump takes office one of the first things he needs to do is to review the rules for asylum ... revoking asylum for those who have abused our hospitality, extended to the oppressed victims of despotic governments.  Asylum should be used very sparingly and only after corroborated evidence is used to prove ones LIFE is likely to be TAKEN if they are deported... returned to their country of origin.

ALERT: Asylum Division Affirmative Asylum Scheduling Bulletin

Every year people come to the United States seeking protection because they have suffered persecution or fear that they will suffer persecution due to:

  • Race
  • Religion
  • Nationality
  • Membership in a particular social group
  • Political opinion

If you are eligible for asylum you may be permitted to remain in the United States. To apply for Asylum, file a Form I-589, Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal, within one year of your arrival to the United States. There is no fee to apply for asylum.

You may include your spouse and children who are in the United States on your application at the time you file or at any time until a final decision is made on your case. To include your child on your application, the child must be under 21 and unmarried. For more information see our Form I-589, Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal page.

Permission to Work in the United States

You cannot apply for permission to work (employment authorization) in the United States at the same time you apply for asylum.

You may apply for employment authorization if:

  • 150 days have passed since you filed your complete asylum application, excluding any delays caused by you (such as a request to reschedule your interview) AND
  • No decision has been made on your application

If you are granted asylum you may work immediately. Some asylees choose to obtain Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) for convenience or identification purposes, but an EAD is not necessary to work if you are an asylee.

To apply for employment authorization, you must file a Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.  There is no fee to apply for your first EAD if you have a pending asylum application or if you have been granted asylum. For more information see our Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization page.

See the 180-Day Asylum EAD Clock Notice (PDF, 338 KB)and the ABT Settlement Agreement for further information.

Bringing Your Family to the United States

If you are granted asylum you may petition to bring your spouse and children to the United States by filing a Form I-730, Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition. To include your child on your application, the child must be under 21 and unmarried.

You must file the petition within two years of being granted asylum unless there are humanitarian reasons to excuse this deadline. There is no fee to file this petition. For more information see our Form I-730, Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition” page.

Filing for Permanent Residence (Green Card)

You may apply for a green card one year after being granted asylum. To apply for a green card, file a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjus.... You must submit a separate I-485 application packet for yourself and, if applicable, for each family member who received derivative asylum based on your case.

For more information about green cards, see our Green Cards for an Asylee page.  For more information about asylum, see our Questions & Answers: Asylum page.

Based on the current Asylum rules.. anyone who FEARS or is being persecuted for the issues listed below may apply and be granted Asylum.  Asylum leads to permanent residence and citizenship.  Based on the reasons listed below... ANYONE in the world could qualify, if they fear persecution for any of the items listed... Actual persecution is not necessary to prove.

This immigration policy must change.. only a provable, and ongoing physical threat against ones life should be considered as a reason for Asylum... fear or even actual persecution must not be a valid reason... only a life threatening case should qualify for Asylum.

Trump has the authority to change this policy with an Executive Order.  Fear of persecution for any of the reasons below may result in asylum being granted...

  • Race
  • Religion
  • Nationality
  • Membership in a particular social group
  • Political opinion

BUT....don't they have to do something to substantiate that they truly fall under one of these categories?

How hard is it too prove an individual FEARS persecution from a third world, Banana Republic or that they are being discriminated against... Look, Obama wants as many migrants to enter the US as possible, it is part of his backup plan for the fundamental transformation of America.. violent revolution... Of course, that requires foot soldiers. Guess who those will be?

Tell me how does one substantiate or corroborate anything coming out of  places like Syria, Somalia, Tunisia, Peru or even Mexico... in a manner that is timely and corroborated?  They can't. Asylum is the new path to citizenship. It is available to anyone willing to enter the US illegally and make a claim they are persecuted... It definitely will lead to a long delay and great expense to deport them ...

Under CURRENT US POLICY... anyone applying for Asylum, whose application for asylum takes more than 150 days, may ask and receive a work permit, from their a green card is issued and permanent resident status may be granted after the required time holding a green card is met.

The Mexican Government and others are providing government funded literature on how to claim asylum in the US... its the new way to avoid deportation. Trump must change the rules on his first day in office.  Only those with viable, corroborated evidence, that proves their lives are in danger should they be deported, should be given Asylum... and not all of them .. Depending on their background checks... criminal and terrorist affiliations.

Pelosi Disaster!  95% Of Americans Tuned Out Impeachment Show Trials On Friday — Only The Second Day Of Testimony

Despite the constant hype Americans are already tuning out the sham impeachment trials.

On the second day of the public show trials 95% of Americans turned off the nonsense.

Americans are worn out by all of the fake news and hysteria.

Yawn: 95% of U.S. Adults Skipped Day 2 of Democrats' Impeachment Hearings

Yawn: 95% of U.S. Adults Skipped Friday’s Impeachment Hearings

Americans aren’t exactly obsessed with the Democrats’ impeachment hearings, it seems. Friday’s second day of live, wall-to-wall coverage drew an average of 12.7 million viewers on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN,

Flashback: Horrible News For Shifty Schiff – Majority Of Americans Don’t Want Impeachment, 76% Don’t Trust Dems And Believe Media Is Pushing The Sham

No One in American Wants Impeachment except the Far-left Socialist Democrats and their Corrupt Media. They hate President Trump because he is a winner. He beat them and he’s making America great again as he said he would.

The Democrats and their corrupt media are totally blinded by their rage and they don’t realize that no one is in favor of impeachment.

We reported a week ago that FOX News released a poll where they stated that 49% of Americans were for Trump Impeachment. But their polling was flawed. The real extrapolated results of the poll using an accurate proportion of Republicans, Democrats and Independents showed that only 30% of Americans are in favor of Trump’s Impeachment and they’re all Democrats.

Next, a few days ago we reported on another poll that was consistent with the results of our extrapolated FOX News poll.

Nearly three quarters of all Americans have little or no trust in the way that Schifty Schiff is running the impeachment process –

Heritage Action   Heritage_Action

You won’t hear this in the mainstream media: Nearly three fourths of Americans have little to no trust in the House Democrats’ handling of their impeachment process. 🤔

Today another poll was released with similar results.

Most Americans believe that the corrupt media is trying to help get President Trump impeached. Three-quarter of Republicans, half of independents and even a third of Democrats believe this to be the case. No one trusts Schifty Shiff or the corrupt media pushing his impeachment sham.

1- "Seventy-six percent (76%) of Republicans and a plurality (48%) of voters not affiliated with either major political party say most reporters are trying to help impeach Trump, a view shared by only 36% of Democrats."

Let's recast that last phrase

Rasmussen Reports @Rasmussen_Poll

Most Say Media Working With Democrats to Impeach Trump...

This is perhaps the worst gaffe in modern political history.

This Schiff Show does not have a happy ending for the Democrats. Even with the support of the entire corrupt fake news media, it’s a total sham and everyone knows it!
