“I would argue that the President is at least partially — not in any way totally — but partially to blame for demons that have been unleashed,” Sanford said. You’ve got to be kidding, Congressman!

I believe this is what liberals refer to as “victim blaming.” The cowardly Congressman blamed President Trump for the GOP shooting on Wednesday.

Early Wednesday morning, rabid leftist James Hodgkinson descended on a Republican baseball practice with an automatic rifle and the intention of killing as many Republicans as possible.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) was shot in the hip and was rushed to the hospital with five others. Scalise has remained in critical condition and the shooter died before he arrived at the hospital.

The shooter was clearly motivated by his hatred for Republicans and was radicalized by the mainstream media. Yet, somehow, Rep. Sanford is blaming President Trump.

The South Carolina Republican claims that President Trump has some responsibility because of his in-your-face rhetoric during the campaign.

At a rally during the 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump offered to cover the legal defense costs of a supporter if they helped remove an obstructionist Democrat. Sanford, in citing that singular instance, is attempting to blame all liberal violence on President Trump.

Even when Trump allegedly called for supporters to hit a protester, it was in response to liberal violence. Investigative reporter James O’Keefe revealed that the Democrat Party sponsored “activists” to attend Trump rallies and cause violence forcing then-candidate Trump to react. The tactic was called “bird dogging” (via Breitbart).

It appears that the plan was so effective that even Republicans are convinced that President Trump is the source of today’s violence. In reality, he was attempting to defend his rallies from violent Democrats and Progressives.

This is how the deep state and the media demonize President Trump. They claim Trump is so evil that he is responsible for everything wrong in the world — even attacks against his own.
