DEAR SEN. McCONNELL AND SPEAKER BOEHNER: Here are the Terms of Your Surrender

My Dear Speaker Boehner and Senator McConnell,

The American people are tired. They are tired of your hatred for the conservative base, your insults of the American people, and your utter disregard for the Constitution.

In your petty quests for power, you both spend more time, energy and resources plotting against your party's base rather than fighting the most lawless and destructive president in American history. The national debt will have doubled under this President, the IRS and other arms of the government have been weaponized, the Justice Department is busy race-baiting and attacking Obama's political opponents, China and Russia are rapidly arming up, Iran is rolling non-stop to acquire nuclear ICBMS, and the Middle East is on fire.

POLL: Would you vote for Chris Christie or Jeb Bush in 2016?

And still you focus on pathetic political infighting, as if this is some sort of game.

We've had quite enough, thank you.

The following are the terms of your surrender and they are non-negotiable:

1. Speaker Boehner: you will, on or before the departure of Eric Cantor from the position of House Majority Leader, name a suitable and real conservative to that role (e.g., Jeb Hensarling or Jim Jordan).

2. Senator McConnell: you will, on or before the departure of Eric Cantor from the position of House Majority Leader, name Senator Ted Cruz to the post of Ranking Member on the Senate Judiciary Committee and, should the Republican Party take the Senate, will name him Chairman of that committee.

3. You will both cease pushing for any Amnesty, immigration or other deal until the border is secure from the unfolding humanitarian and refugee crisis.

Oren, I totally agree with you, the infighting has to stop.  The most important job for ANY POLITICIAN is to do their job they took an OATH TO FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION ..PERIOD AND NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THEIR RE-ELECTION AND THEIR BUDDIES.

Amen!

I agree with both of you!

Oren, you're right!  I agree wholeheartedly!

Brad

Oren you are absolutely right on!

Amen, Oren. I'm just so-o-o tired of them providing nothing but lip service while they allow Obozo and crew to steamroll the country and people. While they sit and allow them to waste billions, if not trillions, on useless policies on just about everything from Illegals, destruction of the constitution, or his muslim friends, and on and on, while the country goes downhill.

A single step in the conservative direction.

Or fall on your swords and "we the people" will find suitable successors.

What a letter! WOW!

yes... and however unrealistic it might be in today's bizarro world, IMO - conceding the serious business of managing a country's affairs (residually affecting our individual lives) to being just politics, or a game, is about as foolish as can be.

Put party first?? nonsense! Why? Partly because party naturally devolves into mere democracy taking priority over principles.

I agree with you on everything except the part that says "They won't change because they CAN'T change". The reason why they won't change is not because they can't change, it's because they choose not to change.

Oren,

My thoughts exactly!

TRUMP:  Trump To Give ‘Start Your Engines’ Command At Dayton

President Donald Trump will give the command for drivers to start their engines before the Daytona 500.

Daytona International Speedway officials named Trump the grand marshal for NASCAR’s season opener, meaning he will deliver the most famous four words in auto racing. “Gentleman, start your engines,” has been a staple of races around the country and world for decades.

White House spokesman Judd Deere said Thursday the president plans to attend the race. Track president Chip Wile confirmed the news in a release.

“Daytona International Speedway has been privileged to have hosted several sitting presidents of the United States over our history,” Wile said. “We’re honored that the president of the United States has chosen to experience the pageantry and excitement of ‘The Great American Race.’”

Trump is the third sitting president to attend a race at Daytona, but only the second to attend the Daytona 500. George W. Bush attended in 2004. Trump is the first to be given an honorary role in pre-race ceremonies.

Trump is scheduled to spend part of the Presidents Day weekend at his private club in Palm Beach, Florida.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a flight restriction for Sunday and the U.S. Secret Service, which is responsible for presidential security, also tweeted to fans that drones are prohibited within 30 miles of the race in Daytona Beach — a restriction put in place for presidential visits.

Trump has hosted previous NASCAR champions at the White House and last October awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to motorsports titan Roger Penske. Last year, Trump also praised retired driver Mario Andretti, the Daytona 500 winner in 1967, reminiscing about a ride Andretti gave him in a race car for his reality show “The Apprentice.”

“I said, ‘Mario, get me out of here. I want to get out of this car,’” Trump recalled. “We went so fast. We literally — we covered four blocks in like a second.”
