Could you give me your opinion on my draft of response to NYT article?

Could you please give me your opinion of this letter to the editor (in response to NYT column)- do I have my facts right?

The Opinion piece "Deadbeat in the Range" by Timothy Egan was written to damage the reputation of Cliven Bundy and the citizens who went to support him when 200 armed government agents from the BLM plus helicopters and snipers stormed the property. The Bundys had grazing rights since the 1870s granted them by the state of Nevada. The government reclassified it as federal property to protect the Desert Tortois in 1993. Bundy had paid the fees to the state, and would have continued, but the state couldn't accept them after the land was reclassified. Bundy did not recognize federal authority, believing the land still belonged to the state. When the BLM agents came to seize the cattle, citizens feared for the safety of the family. A group of unarmed protesters came to support the family. BLM agents tazered 2 protesters and one knocked a 57 year old woman to the ground. They had police dogs on leashes and snipers trained on the protesters. When video , filmed by protesters, of this went viral on the internet, that's when armed militia came to protect the protesters. Egan describes these people as "thugs" and the BLM agents as "public employees who were trying to do their job." As to the "poor Desert Tortois" BLM agents are euthanizing them, saying there are too many. The agents were rounding up and killing some of the cattle. An independent film maker, Lynch, from New York went to check out the situation. He feared for the lives of these people, so he approached the federal agents begging them not to shoot. He asked why only Fox News was there, where was the rest of the media? Good question, because if more media had been there, Americans might learn the whole truth, and have a different opinion than Mr. Egan about this "phony event" .

The media today has forgotten the reason for the FIRST amendment of our constitution. In that regard it was so that the people would have uninhibited access to the events that might well affect them. Today the media has become a political element fostered by the liberal university system that in actuality has overthrown our founders republican intent in the creation of their own protections and instead have ignorantly opted to follow the usurpation of a free and independent press.

Thank you for so adequately putting into words my exact opinion of the so-called " mass media " , as it is currently owned by the American communist party and George Soros .

10000% correct! Soros and liberal one worlder trilateral puppets is all they are.....Susan Atkisson is one of the few reporters doing her job and she got canned for it....

The big problem here is that Most city dwellers have never been to places like rural Nevada and have no clue about the history of the land, and assume that the federal government has always owned it.

The encroachment by the Federal government has been ongoing for many years.

Study the sagebrush rebellion and its roots.

I am an easterner but have roots in the west and have hiked and hunted the west and my Dad was mining gold in central Nevada back int he early 1930's when it was almost totally free.

This is all about money

Sounds about right... but there is much more to the plot re: reid family criminality!

The NY Times is a liberal rag and accepts adds from federal agencies so will always lick their boots. Its' citizens

eat high priced beef, wine, salads, and live in buildings made of wood and metal but have no idea about where it all comes from.

The BLM acted like the Gestapo thugs they are. This has nothing to do with a tortoise and everything to do with a socialistic federal government.

Pretty good summary.

You might also mention Constitution Article I Section 8 Clause 17, which suggests that U.S. can't own 85% of NV.

BLM has been killing tortoises elsewhere and also allegedly killed some during their ham-handed raid.

You spelled tortoise wrong.

The NYTraitor should be held accountable for their lies along with all the others.

Wasn't the BLM clearing the area so that the Chinese could put up a solar farm? Wasn't Harry Reid involved in this deal with China?  That being true, wouldn't that be worse than the use of civil employees by the congressman with the bad hairpiece.  He did hard time.  What will these posterior ports get?

I would add," Only communist government would bare down on its citizens over cattle grazing on grass."

Sounds like to me, we all should be boycotting ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and all the other stations out there that won't give us the true news. If people are willing, we all would have them by their pocketbooks. No viewers, means no sponsers, means no paycheck for them. We have the power, It's time to stand up and use it.

Racism -> Emergency Medical Doctor Rails Against Whites: “White People Can Be Exhausting” – ‘Racism Towards Whites Doesn’t Exist’

Esther Choo (pictured above), an emergency medical doctor and professor in Oregon, took to Twitter to rail against white people and after getting called out for her racism, she asserted that it’s impossible to be racist towards whites.

According to Choo’s bio, she’s an emergency physician and associate professor at the Oregon Health & Science University.

Choo is the daughter of Korean immigrants and uses social media to talk about racism and sexism in healthcare, according to her bio.

“White people can be exhausting. Just an observation,” Choo said in a tweet on Friday.

When she received backlash for her racist tweet, Choo continued to taunt and disparage whites.

“Observation #2: white people are going to prove my point on this very thread,” Choo said responding to the backlash.

She also bragged that Twitter took her side when people reported her tweet.

“Observation #3: when people try to convince Twitter that white people are experiencing reverse racism, Twitter understands that is not a thing.”

Twitter may not have a problem with racism against white people, but what about the medical community?

Dr. Choo received huge backlash on Twitter.

This is coming from an Emergency Medicine Physician who is considered a "leader" in her field. She's scheduled to be a speaker at the American College of Emergency Physicians in October. She runs a website called FeminEM prompting Feminist causes in EM and a racist.

Pretty racist statement, TBH.

Protected groups being immune to being called out for blatant bigotry is exhausting, just an observation.

Replace “white” with any other race, and Dr. Choo would be out of a job.

Update: Dr. Choo deleted her racist tweets and set her Twitter account to “private” after she received backlash from hundreds of people.
