Image result for Coddled and Broken Millennials Now Need “Adulting School”

In recent years, the Millennial generation has caught a lot of flak for being coddled, useless, and overly sensitive. They say this is a generation stuck living with their parents, jobless, directionless, loaded with debt, and reluctant to grow up, because they weren’t raised properly. Now there’s a school to fill the glaring gaps in their education, and teach these grown up kids how to actually function as adults.

The Adulting School in Maine was created by a psychotherapist who noticed that so many of her young clients didn’t know how to do things like paying bills on time and choosing a career.” Rachel Weinstein, the co-founder of the group, explained that “You know, when you see 10 people feeling like they’re the only one, and they’re all struggling with the same thing, you think, let’s get these people together so they can learn this stuff and not feel so isolated and ashamed.”

The school offers social media groups and live events at bars and restaurants, where they teach these people things like how to run their finances, DIY repairs, and networking. During an interview with NPR, several of these adults were struggling to learn how to fold a fitted sheet.

It’s easy to look at this seemingly helpless generation and determine that this is all their fault; but you have to wonder, why weren’t Millennials taught this stuff in the first place? Why didn’t the schools and their parents teach them real practical skills that they would actually use? Why were they pampered and told that they could be anything they wanted? How in the hell did we let an entire generation grow up without learning the basic skills required to survive in this world? This isn’t a generation of a failures. This a generation that society has failed, and the mere existence of this Adulting School proves it.

I can think of SO MANY things they should be taught at Adulting School.

lol!

I think that qualifies as having stupid written on your face. ...and to a job provider it surely hollers 'I make stupid permanent decisions.'

Another thing obama destroyed during his reign,  An Entire American Generation.  So Sad !

Yes, it is very sad.

there used to be 1 thing that helped people grow up and it did this well - it was called the draft

I was thinking 'work'.

I like draft better.  When they screw up at work, they can just be fired....then go home and whine to mom/dad that they were mean.  The military will make it all the harder when they screw up there, and no running home to mom/dad to take care of them.  They HAVE to stick it out for themselves............or go AWOL and end up in bigger trouble.

I'll not argue against the point. my view is a little different. ..but since I've not been in the military it's purely an observational point of view.

I think you hit on the primary point I was making - parenting. Are they raising children or adults??

Besides............isn't military "work" too?

Angry Dem Impeachment ‘Witness’: Pam Karlan Donated Thousands To Hillary And Was On Clinton’s List For Potential SCOTUS Nomination

The House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Rep. Jerrold Nadler, kicked off its first impeachment circus Wednesday morning.

The four ‘witnesses’ testifying have never actually witnessed any of Trump’s dealings with Ukraine firsthand — the four witnesses are law professors offering legal analysis.

One of the witnesses the Dems rolled out is an angry Hillary Clinton donor who was on Crooked’s list for a potential Supreme Court nomination.

No wonder why this unhinged, dowdy woman is so pissed off!

“Professor Pam Karlan donated thousands of dollars to Democrats and was on Hillary Clinton’s list for a potential Supreme Court nomination. So she certainly has no vendetta against President Trump,” GOP Rep. Mark Walker said.

Congressman Walker also pointed out that Noah Feldman, the Dems first partisan witness in Wednesday’s hearing tweeted about impeaching Trump right after he was sworn in.

Meet Noah Feldman, House Democrats first partisan witness.

Look at the date of this tweet. He has been trying to get @realDonaldTrump impeached since 46 days into his presidency.

His reason? Trump criticized President Obama.

This is a sham impeachment with sham witnesses. https://twitter.com/NoahRFeldman/status/839185127494254592

The next witness, Karlan, has donated thousands to Democrats and was on Hillary Clinton’s list for a potential Supreme Court nomination.

So she certainly has no vendetta against @realDonaldTrump.

These witnesses are as serious as House Democrats impeachment case: not at all.

The entire sham show trial is stacked with partisan hacks who have wanted to impeach Trump from the moment he won in November of 2016.

Norm Eisen, the Democrats’ counsel who is blasting Trump and questioning witnesses in Wednesday’s show trial, tweeted about impeaching Trump before Donald Trump was even sworn into office!
