Claiming mandate, GOP Congress lays plans to propel sweeping conservative agenda

Image result for get 'er doneFor six years, since they took back the House of Representatives, Republicans have added to a pile of legislation that moldered outside the White House. In their thwarted agenda, financial regulations were to be unspooled. Business taxes were to be slashed. Planned Parenthood would be stripped of federal funds. The Affordable Care Act was teed up for repeal — dozens of times.

When the 115th Congress begins this week, with Republicans firmly in charge of the House and Senate, much of that legislation will form the basis of the most ambitious conservative policy agenda since the 1920s. And rather than a Democratic president standing in the way, a soon-to-be-inaugurated Donald Trump seems ready to sign much of it into law.

The dynamic reflects just how ready Congress is to push through a conservative makeover of government, and how little Trump’s unpredictable, attention-grabbing style matters to the Republican game plan.

That plan was long in the making.

Almost the entire agenda has already been vetted, promoted and worked over by Republicans and think tanks that look at the White House less for leadership and more for signing ceremonies.

Oren,

It is so good to see you and Col. Nelson posting again here.

Although many may not agree with some of things posted here, I for one, still want to see your thoughts and comments. As you know, it is easy to sit behind a keyboard and type something out. It is another thing, to see some responses and ignore them, because of who wrote them.

I try to read all posts, whether I disagree with the persons thought process or not. That is how we learn and consider the alternatives and solutions.

Please keep posting with your reasoning and knowledge.

Jim

Oren...

You asked ... we deliver:

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?  Who guards the guardians.

Let us not forget that Congress is part of the problem... expecting it to suddenly reform on its own is foolish.  The RINO's have a Globalist Agenda... and we must not let them prevail... if necessary Trump needs to call on the people directly ... too, come  to DC and persuade their members of Congress that it is in their own interests to support Donald's plans to make America Great Again... and too forget their globalist plans.

MAYBE IT WOULD BE GOOD IF WE EACH CONTACTED OUR CONGRESS MEMBER NOW AND TOLD HIM OR HER WE PUT TRUMP THERE TO DO OUR SPEAKING !!  IF IT DOESN'T GET DONE WE WILL DEAL WITH THEM IN THE UP COMING ELECTIONS !!

They had better. We are not screwing around any longer. We know where the voting booths are.

i trust these clowns about as far as i can throw a Greyhound Bus.

I see we are on the same page WE don't Trust Those SOB's John and Mitch The let US down every time the rubber hit the road!!

Given the history of (G)OP compromise with the Demoncrats -- one horrific example: the (G)OP controlled 114th Congress SUSPENDED the Fed Debt Limit and the new Congress is poised to do the same. We know the President-elect has said: "I love debt." Complete disregard for our TEA Party core values.

Another example of (G)OP betrayal is the misnamed "21 Century Cures[sic] Act" -- just passed by the lame duck Congress -- which, in addition to its welfare for Big Pharma includes an unlawful clause that seeks to abrogate our universal right to Informed Consent, by letting the drug companies engage in medical experiments -- with up to 8,000 people per experiment WITHOUT getting the informed consent of the victims first.

More about that here, from General Stubblebine and me:

http://drrimatruthreports.com/the-generals-2017-assessment/

An then there is the vaccine mandate issue. Tell the Trump Transition Team to stop vax mandates here: http://tinyurl.com/vaccinepolicy

Unless the TEA Party keeps a very close watch on the (G)OP they will "forget" that we gave them control of the White House, both Houses of Congress and most States.

The swamp will remain occupied as long as those two RINO'S exist. Obama has their lip prints across his imperial-a$$. The trio will meet for golf and a circle-jerk on January 21st.

The problem is that these weasels do not fear "We The People."

You are precisely correct in your analysis of the underlying problem... our leadership doesn't fear its base. It is time that the base rises up and demonstrates it has a collective will that can engage these bums one on one...

We can learn from the left... millions in the streets, on strike and in the Halls of Congress, can bring about constructive reform.  We must be willing to take it to them... too, put ourselves between them, their paychecks, and those greasing their palms. We must end corruption and that will take personal, direct, involvement by millions... or it won't happen.

THEY WOULD IF WE BACKED IT UP. THROW THEM OUT ON THE STREET. IF YOU DON'T PREFORM FOR US !!  MAYBE WE CAN NOW GET SOME NEW BLOOD  TO RUN FOR OFFICE IF THEY KNOW THE RINOS DON'T RUN WASHINGTON ANYMORE OR THE GOOD OLD BOYS CLUB IS OUT !!  VOTE THEM OUT PEOPLE !! GET NEW ONE TO RUN NOW !!

Obama Lies Again: – Ignores That The Year After Signing The Stimulus More Than (4) Million Jobs Were Lost

Former President Obama, the only President in US history who had his FBI and other Intel agencies spy on the opposition party candidate, claims that he created the great economy that Americans are enjoying today. The only thing Obama created was debt and massive job losses with his horrible economic recovery.

Yesterday the former President tweeted an effort to take credit for President Trump’s successful economy:

Joe Hoft@joehoft

Of course another @BarackObama lie. He can’t open his mouth without lying. 11 years ago the US lost (4.3) million jobs over the next 12 months. Horrible liar. https://twitter.com/barackobama/status/1229432034650722304

Barack Obama  @BarackObama

Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history.

President Obama’s policies were a disgrace and a failure. He doubled the national debt in spite of zero interest rates from the Fed. His recovery was the worst in US history.

Also, Obama’s assertion is just plain false. The ‘Stimulus’ was passed in February 2009 right after Obama took over the Presidency. He promised to not pass any bills for at least a week to allow for the bills to be read by the people but lied as soon as he was sworn in. The Stimulus was hundreds and hundreds of pages of government handouts to Democrat districts and it was close to $1 million. This was not what America needed and it led to the Tea Party.

Far-left Wikipedia has this to say about the Stimulus:

Note that in his infinite wisdom, NYT economist Paul Krugman is credited with arguing that “the stimulus was far smaller than the economic crisis warranted”. (He also said the markets would crash and burn if President Trump was elected President.)

The data shows that the 12 months after Obama’s stimulus, the US lost 4.3 million jobs:

In Obama’s first three years he netted a loss of 1.5 million jobs compared to President Trump who has added more than 6.7 million jobs.

When it comes to the economy, the billionaire schools the community organizer every time.
