An Open Letter To The Republican Leadership In Congress

While it would certainly be cathartic to flog the GOP for the lousy omnibus bill House Republicans just passed, it seems more productive to tackle a bigger issue. After a historic, yet unearned (Obama was the real GOP MVP) election victory, isn’t it time for the Republican leadership to try to heal the rift with the base that’s tearing the party apart?

Do Republican leaders REALLY want to spend the next two years of a presidential election cycle getting trashed the way they are right now by activists, Tea Party leaders and radio talk show hosts? Anyone who thinks the base is going to sit down and shut up or that the GOP can thrive over the long-term with this kind of intra-party feuding going on is kidding himself.

So realistically, here’s what the Republican Party leaders need to do to help get everyone back on the same page.

1) They should never, ever, under any circumstances trash their base again. That means if the words "Tea Party, "Senate Conservatives Fund," "Mark Levin," “Rush Limbaugh,” “Club for Growth,” “Heritage Action,” etc., etc., come out of their mouths, then they better be saying something nice at best or neutral at worst. Additionally, staffers who mouth off about the base should be unceremoniously fired. At first, Republican politicians shouldn’t expect to have that favor to be returned, but if you’re a politician who wants unconditional love, go buy a dog.

2) The GOP has to keep its promises -- and quite frankly, more than a few Republicans seem to have a pre-YouTube era mentality about that. They think they can say anything they want on the campaign trail and then do something completely different in the office without people being any the wiser. For example, after the NRSC backed Charlie Crist over Marco Rubio, I fought it tooth-and-nail over that decision. After he won, Marco Rubio was one of my favorite politicians, but the moment he lied to us by breaking his campaign pledge to fight amnesty, he was dead to me. I will NEVER forgive Rubio for his dishonorable behavior, no matter what he does. Don’t lie through your teeth to people who took you at your word and then expect us to be stupid enough to trust you again.

Turncoat lying bastards!

Your to kind

Like many of you I'm very disappointed with the budget that was passed it could have been mush more stronger ! what I'm looking for is when the Republicans take over the hous and senate and it would be a dream come true if Tray Gowdey  I know that I'm probable spelling his name wrong but you get my meaning he has more testicular fortitude then any one in the Republican party today or Ted Cruz that my friends is what is needed to save America !  these men have proven time after tine they have the desire to do the job the strength to get it dun !

Yes we do keep track of what was said versus what our elected officials do.  They work for us and it's high time they start realizing that.

I love this!

Governments exist to serve the people... not too, provide government officials and workers with a living.  It is time that the GOP leadership understand that point.

Failing to understand that the government exists only by consent of the governed will lead to serious problems... either now or latter.  Revolutions occur when government forgets the reason for its existence and becomes the agent for its existence... self-serving governments often end in violent revolution.

I am happy  and proud to be a Tea Party Patriot, and thankful,  because I get informed by those who are better than me, smarter people who don't let anything fly under the radar !  Thank You!

Obama has the FINAL SAY and HE is the ONLY ONE with the POWER to SIGN ANYTHING into Law.. Republicans are NOT the PROBLEM in this Compromise, Obama IS - PLEASE see the 5min Cspan CLIP- - http://www.c-span.org/video/?c4518881/power-purse

The idea that any future elections will change these un-moral leaders would make me laugh if it were not so serious. It use to be that if a person was running for any office and was running on the Republican label  you could assume they had some values. Those days are over. The Republican party has been over run with the same type of low lives that have made the Democrat party into the evil, selfish, and destructive organization it is. Basically the lack of leadership and support of Obama coming from the Republican party can only lead to one conclusion that they are onboard with Obama and the Democrats. Even worse the leadership of the Republican party, are helping in everyway they can to destroy the constitution and this once great nation. It is in my opinion to late to depend on any future elections. The people must now step up and not only put Obama on trial for his crimes, but also everyone else who has not lived up to their oath of office. As an example if you believe, as I do, that Obama's actions on immigration are illegal and impeachable, then you must also believe that everyone in the House who voted to fund these actions is as guilty as Obama himself. Treason and illegal actions are not defined by the name of the party you belong  to. Makes me wonder if the morality of this country has declined so much that we no longer have the quality people it would require to fix our problems.

I fear that we no longer have a moral people... capable of supporting our Constitution and its precepts.  Our Constitution is wholly dependent on a moral society to function properly and it is obvious that we are no longer functioning properly.

Treason and every evil work is present among our elected officials and they seem powerless or unwilling to do anything to reign it in.  We have suffered under a long train of abuses by our government. Our rights are no longer respected by those we appoint to high office and the consent of the people to be governed has been clearly violated... evidence the last election.

When Government becomes destructive to its purpose it becomes the right of the People to abolish it and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such Principals, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to the People seem most expeditious and likely to effect their security and happiness.

However, prudence, in deed, dictates that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient Causes; and accordingly all experience has shown, that mankind is more disposed to suffer, while evil may yet be sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms of Government to which they are accustomed.  However, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing an inevitable course designed to place the People under absolute despotism becomes obvious, it is the right and duty of such People to throw off such Government, and to provide for new Guards to secure their liberty and prosperity.

Such are the abuses and usurpations of this Government... that the People must now consider the most expedient and satisfactory manner by which to rid themselves of the tyrants that call themselves their leaders... too,  that end the People must organize and establish new leadership, capable of securing their future liberty and security. The problem now rests with the People and providence to provide for the leadership and organization necessary to secure our liberty and prosperity from further damage.

Agreed 10000%

SICK: New Jersey Awarded $3.8 Million In Financial Aid To Illegal Aliens

A local news report revealed that the state of New Jersey awarded $3.8 million in financial aid to illegal immigrants during the 2018-2019 school year.

According to a report from NJ.com, the state of New Jersey gave $3.8 million in financial aid to 749 illegal immigrant students in the last academic year. More than a quarter of the funding went to 328 illegal immigrants that attend Rutgers University.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed a law last year that allowed illegal immigrants to apply for financial aid. Prior to the signing, illegal immigrants were permitted to apply to pay in-state tuition at public universities but they were not eligible for financial aid.

Murphy, who supports the spending, hit back at Republican critics by arguing that giving financial aid to illegal immigrants is compatible with American values.

“I’d even invite any of those folks who have that attitude, beginning with our president, to come on into this room and allow me or any of us to say, ‘This is the United States of America,’” Murphy said at the time.

David J. Socolow, executive director of the state’s Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, defended the state’s decision to offer financial aid to illegal immigrants.

“This financial assistance offers these New Jersey students a life-changing opportunity,” Socolow said in a brief comment.“The successes of these first 513 students, who are now attending county colleges, state colleges and universities, and independent institutions around the state, will have a positive impact on countless additional lives.”

According to the report, there is currently no limit on the amount of illegal immigrant students that are permitted to receive financial aid from the state of New Jersey. State lawmakers forecast that they will spend approximately $5 million on financial aid for illegal immigrants each year.
