I was so proud of him and the uniform that stood for freedom. He looks down from heaven knowing his brothers and sisters still carry on the fight. I may have chosen a different branch to serve and retire, but the U.S. Navy will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you all and God Bless
Permalink Reply by al pambuena on October 13, 2012 at 8:12pm my father spent 30 years in the navy, and was a veteran of world war two, korea, and vietnam. he is buried in arlington cemetery...if somebody ever asked me about my father, this is what i tell them, and it is an honor to be his son.
