John Boehner says swift Obamacare repeal, replace is just ‘happy talk’

Image result for john boehner idiotFormer House Speaker John A. Boehner said Thursday that outright repeal of Obamacare is “not going to happen.”

The Ohio Republican, who left Congress in late 2015 amid friction with hardline conservatives, told an Orlando health conference that he started to laugh when Republicans promised swift moves to repeal and replace the massive law, according to a Politico report.

The notion that a replacement could breeze through Congress, he said, was “happy talk.”

“Republicans never ever agree on health care,” he was reported as saying.

Mr. Boehner’s blunt assessment comes as GOP lawmakers struggle to explain the path forward to angry liberal activists and constituents back home.

Republican leaders insist they are on track to repeal and replace as much of the Affordable Care Act as they can this spring under a fast-track budget procedure that allows them to bypass a Democratic filibuster.

Good riddance! Why is he still talking? - I am baffled why Congress doesn't just pass one of the laws they have been passing under Obama that would repeal Obamacare. What are they waiting for? We the people elected Republicans and Trump to repeal Obamacare right away. Why is our great leader Donald J Trump not showing some leadership? What is he waiting for? Trump promised us that he would implement something better and cheaper and get rid of Obamacare immediately. What's the hold up?

What a worthless sorry traitor. Just another professional politician and DRUNK. This is what was wrong with Republicans before Donald Trump shook their world and sent the traitors scattering like marbles dropped into an empty swimming pool. Flush this creep down the toilet.

i don't give a damn what comes out of this morons mouth

His 15 minutes are up....he personifies what is wrong in Washington...

What else should we expect from a traitor.  He is the epitome of a rino.

Go back under your rock, boenner.

Boehner provoking. Common Sense (for those who still practice it) tells that a Monster like Obamacare cannot be slain in short order. There are thousands of pages so-called Dems didn't bother to read. Most wouldn't have understood any of it. What they did understand was they were exempt from this Scam for the "unwashed". Add to that the thousands of Obama added regulations after it was passed with not a wince from Congress. Before any Repeal happens, a solid replacement must be viable. This will take Time. Of course, in the meantime, Enemies of the State will continue to provoke & divide.

Judy & David IMO are correct.  Both Houses of Congress have many Blocking tools built into the system of passing laws.  These keep each other from forcing thru bills the other side has reservations about.  Examples, Pelosi passing Obama care by using reconciliation to pass Obama care.  Reconciliation in theory can only be used once a year and Only on bills which contain Budget items, no specific detail on who must do one thing one way, this illness only after approval and so on.  Next example would be Harry Reid approving a Cabinet candidate with only 51 Votes rather than 60 Votes.
So now we Republicans can do the same, unintended consequences can be used against the democrats until both parties vote to somehow reinforce the regulations.  Apparently there exist regulations that are helping democrats delay action on Trumps candidates and rule - law changes.  Paul Ryan has pointed out that the House - Congress has only 60 days from President Trumps inauguration to overturn some of Obamas orders... so those are the first priority to get thru congress NOW.

Kenneth... don't fall for the excuse that the rule keep the GOP from pushing thru legislation... they can suspend the rules with a simple majority vote and rewrite the rules .  Democrat Alcee Hastings... used to be the chairman for the House Rules Committee famously stated... what rules, we make them up as we go...

The excuse by the RINO's will be we can do anything... the obstructionist Democrats are keeping us from being able to pass legislation...BS... they have a majority in both Houses and can write the rules as they need them... The GOP is all Kabuki theater... Machiavellian politics at its worst.  The GOP can do anything they like.

The truth is that healthcare by federal government statute is unconstitutional.

It would be really simple to  repeal completely and then say healthcare belongs to the states, per 10th Amendment. And write that into federal statutory law, with the provisiosn that insurance must cross state lines, be focused on individual ownership through HSA's, cover all conditions including pre-existing, and leave the rest to the states. That way the people in each state have their voices heard.

I agree... What we don't need to do is to REPEAL AND REPLACE...   Replacing one Government Program with another is not what America voted for in the last election.  Pres. Trump was given a mandate to REPEAL... not too, replace one failed socialist program, with another Big Government boondoggle.

Let the State's work on insuring their citizens.. within a set of federal guidelines which assist the states with issues that cross borders... such as TORT reform, interstate sales of insurance and by establishing Federal tax incentives for purchasing health insurance.  Other than that... get the Federal Government the hell out of medical care.

The truly poor and indigent can be covered by their State's legislative programs... for Medicaid or Medicare.  Those individuals who are able bodied and simply refuse to work need to reevaluate their situation if they want medical treatment... nothing is free in this world.

1 Billion Dollar Net Worth!!! Oberlin College Claims Poverty To Avoid Paying Punitive Damages To Gibson’s Bakery

Although IRS reports show the university is worth around $1 billion, Oberlin College still claimed poverty to avoid paying punitive damages to Gibson’s Bakery.

As Breitbart News reported this week, the far-left Oberlin College lost a defamation case filed by Gibson’s Bakery after a local jury found the university liable for falsely accusing the family bakery of racism.

The jury ordered Oberlin on Friday to pay Gibson’s $11.2 million in compensatory damages for defamation and intentional interference with a business.

Legal Insurrection reported on Thursday that “the jury awarded a total of $33 million in punitive damages, which will probably be reduced by the court to $22 million because of the state law cap at twice compensatory.”

Legal Insurrection has been following the case for two years — since the beginning — and reports that the school’s only defense against a sizable punitive award is to pretend it is poor, despite holding assets that amount to a billion — with a “b” — dollars and despite paying some of its staffers more than a half-million dollars a year:

Oberlin College was so hellbent on getting the message out that their cash liquidity was in such dire straits — as the eight-person jury was figuring out if they wish to add $22.4 million to the school’s legal verdict bill — that they brought out the school’s president, Carmen Twillie Ambar to the stand to tell that part the story.

“We’ve created deficits … and over the next ten years, if this continues, that is unsustainable and we will not exist,” Ambar told the jury. She even indicated the school’s grants — about $60 million a year from the school, and lots of students get those scholarships as only 10% of them pay the full $70,000 a year — were important to preserve as “the accessibility of education” was a key component of the school’s purpose.

The college has more than $1 billion in funds and net assets according to the latest IRS 990 form, an endowment fund that had grown from $440 million to $887 million in the last 20 years, and because of its non-profit status, pays no taxes on any property it owns.

It also had 18 members of their administration making more than $100,00 a year. The president and chief financial officer of the school were both making more than $500,000 a year.

Grifters gonna grift…

The day after Donald Trump won the presidency, this nutball school apparently decided to take out its impotent woke-rage on this poor bakery, which has been part of the Oberlin community for more than a century.

It all started when three Oberlin students (who would later plead guilty in a plea deal) attempted to steal bottles of wine.

The proprietors caught the students and, while attempting to hold them until police arrived, were allegedly roughed up by the shoplifters. But because the students are black and the proprietors white — and with no respect for due process or facts — Oberlin staffers and students decided some vigilantism was in order and did everything in their considerable power to destroy this local bakery forever, to smite it off the map.

Classes were canceled so hundreds of students could protest in front of the small store while enjoying free food and drink, courtesy of the school. School staffers handed out fliers that basically described the family-owned bakery as the local branch of the KKK.

As a result, the bakery had to lay off almost all of its employees and barely avoided bankruptcy.

In the end, the three shoplifters said race had nothing to do with what happened.

For those of you interested in incurring $200,000 in debt before you even enter the workforce, it looks as though you can major in Mob Justice at Oberlin.
