Doctors Will Be the Scapegoats in the Coming Obamacare Disaster

In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in the landmark case ofKing v. Burwell to protect the Affordable Care Act (ACA) from legal precedents, the rule of law, the English language, and common sense, the battle over the role of government in health care has now shifted away from the courts and back to the ballot box.

Democrats certainly have their work cut out for them.

According to a July survey of likely voters by Rasmussen Reports, 53 percent of respondents say they have an “unfavorable” view of President Barack Obama’s signature health care law, with 37 percent indicating a “very unfavorable” position. Forty-two percent say they have a “favorable” view, but only a measly 20 percent of the 1,000 surveyed say they have a “very favorable” opinion of ACA.

The public’s lukewarm opinion of the law isn’t a surprise to those who have studied ACA’s effect on the health care marketplace since its implementation. Despite promises of greater access and affordability, Obamacare has done nothing but increase costs and limit health care freedom.

According to an analysis by HealthPocket, Inc., average premiums for men and women age 23–63 increased substantially from 2013 to 2014, with young, healthy millennials being hit the hardest. Men age 23 saw premiums rise by 78.2 percent, and women age 23 were socked with increases topping 45 percent, compared to pre-Obamacare rates. Data released in 2015 indicate premium increases for millennials continued into 2015, and there are no signs cost increases will slow in the near future.

Cost hikes have been coupled by a failure to provide care to 30 million people the Obama administration insisted did not have access to health care. A poll released by the American College of Emergency Physiciansfound three-quarters of the nation’s emergency room (ER) doctors say ER visits are on the rise, and an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association indicates the various programs established by ACA have yet to have any effect... perhaps the single greatest health care problem facing the nation.

In short, since ACA was forced on the American people, costs have gone up, access to primary care physicians has fallen, and the overall health of the nation remains unchanged at best. Obamacare has clearly been a failure, and this damaging program’s supporters have already started looking for their next scapegoat.

In an article by Judy Lin titled “Road to health care bumpy for Lat... published by the Associated Press on Monday, a new strategy for advancing the necessity of further government control was revealed: demonizing doctors.

The article tells the story of Miriam Uribe, a 20-year-old college student who has been enrolled in Medi-Cal, California’s health insurance program for low-income people. Despite actively seeking a primary care doctor for the past 10 months, Uribe has been unable to find a physician who will accept her as a new patient, she says.

The article explains doctors say the reason so many in Medi-Cal and other Medicaid programs are being turned away is because reimbursement rates are too low, especially compared to the rates private insurers pay.

Lin reports, “Lawmakers have convened a special session to discuss increasing provider payments but there is no agreement on how to pay for them.”

Of course there isn’t. Cash-strapped states such as California can’t possibly compete with private insurers and primary care doctors, who have to choose between patients who can actually pay for the full cost of the service and those who cannot. It doesn’t take an economist to explain which is the smarter choice.

Some would see this as a significant design flaw of the Affordable Care Act, but that’s a big mistake. ACA was carefully crafted to achieve a specific goal, and no, that goal was never to provide as many people as possible with quality health care. If that was the aim, then simple, common-sense solutions such as allowing insurance companies to operate across state lines and creating programs that would increase the number of primary care doctors would have been included in Obamacare. The real foundation of ACA is the desire for increased government control over the life of every American. Those who helped formulate the legislation have admitted the law was deliberately crafted and promoted to mislead people.

MIT economist Jonathan Gruber, one of the architects of ACA, made h... when videos of him surfaced calling the “lack of transparency” in Obamacare a “huge political advantage” and necessary due to the “stupidity of the American voter,” who Gruber suggested doesn’t know what’s best for him or her.

Furthermore, Obama made it clear on numerous occasions the ultimate... one where government is the only insurance provider.

Once you put all the puzzle pieces in place – the provisions in ACA, the deception, and the goal of moving to a single-payer model – the picture becomes clear. ACA was designed to promise health insurance to people who never had it, knowing all along the expansion of Medicaid would lead to millions of people being turned away by primary care doctors. This would allow Democrats and those on the Left to pin the lack of quality care on doctors, many of whom belong to the dreaded “1 percent” the Occupy movement spent months ranting about.

And thus the march toward single-payer continues, and physicians will be among the first to be trampled.

When that disastrous bill was rammed down the collective American throat, fully 75% of the citizenry and over 80% of physicians were vehemently against it, so the fact that it became law in the first place would indicate to me that something has gone terribly awry with our system of government, which was supposed to have been established by, of and for "We the People", not as a dictatorship!  Soon after that bill became law, the majority of doctors were found to be saying that they intended to either take an early retirement or move to another country where they could treat patients without government interference, or just switch career paths altogether.  What a disgrace!  Check out the video by John Stossel about socialized medicine and the one where former President Reagan warned us against it and you will see just why it was such a terrible idea from the beginning and why when it was being called Hillarycare the electorate was just as vehemently against it...only at least in those days the government listened to and adhered to the expressed will of the citizenry.

We need to find a way to take our country back on behalf of our posterity.  Obama has created more debt on his watch than all former American Presidents combined.  No wonder he does not want to have to leave office after the election next year.  He is going to lose all of those fancy vacations flanked by security to protect him and his family every step of the way...all at taxpayer expense.  Enough is ENOUGH!

"He is going to lose all of those fancy vacations flanked by security to protect him and his family every step of the way...all at taxpayer expense."

Don't bet on it. He will have secret service protection for life, and his kickbacks from the "stimulus" should make him very comfortable, he probably won't like to spend his own money, even if it was stolen from the people.

GOTTA blame someone, cannot blame the democrats or obummer

They Obama care should pay for ALL medical needs!

Do away Planned Parenthood!

Do away with THE Clinton Child care Initiative (Clinton Care)!

IF we have to PAY for Obama care--Do away with Medicaid!

There is no reason to have ALL these plans!!!

Who thinks Obama cares a whit what the voters think?  He can't run again (THANK GOD, as there are far too many riding in the wagon, rather than pulling the wagon.  That cannot and will not continue.

While we cannot punish Obama, we can punish DEMOCRATS in the next election!  They have earned it!

Seniors will pay $120+ more for their Medicare and 30% more for their Medicare supplement next year. All due to ObamaCare and Obama. Where is our congress, why haven't they done something about ObamaCare. They said they would repeal it but nothing has happened. The Self Serving Establishment political class Cartel has not done anything they promised so far this year and the year is almost over. We must elect more Conservatives that will do what they say they will do. At least the Democrats tell us they will not do anything we want them to do. The Republicans have gone astray with a load of Sh....t but no action that counts. Boehner and McConnell is stopping the House and Senate from doing anything. It is time all of us sent these two "retirement presents" and give them there Sh...t back. Everyone please send them the gift they deserve for their lack of performance. But they seem to be doing ok for themselves as Boehner now has a place in Florida to play golf year round and McConnell appears to be doing well with his new wife. The riches place on the planet....... Washington, DC..... time to give them what they deserve for Christmas!

Big Price Hikes for Medicare Premiums in 2016

Some Medicare beneficiaries could see their rates jump by more than 50 percent.

Retirees, adjust your budget: Double-digit price hikes for Medicare Part B premiums are coming next year.

The actual rates for Part B (which covers the costs of doctor visits and outpatient care) will be announced in October and take effect Jan. 1. The boost may be 15 percent for all participants or a whopping 52 percent for some, depending on whether Social Security recipients see a cost-of-living raise for 2016.

If Social Security checks are increased, everybody will pay more for Part B, bumping the monthly premium to $120.70 from $104.90 to cover higher expenses. That's the scenario for a 15 percent increase in costs.

But without a raise in Social Security benefits, higher Medicare fees couldn't be charged to most folks. So the larger increase would apply to about 30 percent of Medicare beneficiaries:
  • Those who enroll in Part B in 2016
  • People who don't have their premiums deducted from Social Security payments
  • Individuals with annual incomes above $85,000
  • People eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid
For the last group, known as "dual eligibles," Part B premiums are paid by the state where they live.

Medicare beneficiaries in these groups would see bills jump to $159.30 a month unless the Obama administration took steps to lessen the pain. That's possible, but not certain.

OF COURSE!!!! Its ALWAYS someone or something else, BUT if something should go right he takes all the Credit even though he had no part. God help America!

For once the truth is coming out.  This ACA is costing US thru Medicare a bunch of dollars.  The HMO that my wife and I are covered by Kaiser is bilking the medicare system.

To do a skin cancer treatment that use to cost from $200 to $400 per session which included the first and follow-up has increased in Kaiser to a whopping $7,200.

To get a flu shot for $270 and $100 to administer it is way our of reach.  Sock it to Medicare.

To get a same day appointment with my private Kaiser doc can take two months.  If I am in need of a appointment for a stomach aliment I have to go to urgent care, pay $50 and wait in line for over two hours.

It is just not the Premium payments, how about the excessive copays and deductibles. My son had to go to emergency for a dislocated shoulder and his bill was $2500.00. What good is having insurance. The elderly's copays have doubled and at times tripled. I know a few who have discontinued seeing specialists because they cannot afford it. If they go single payer is Congress and Govt employees going to be on it. Have they paid attention to how our Vets have been suffering with their Govt run HC.

CONFUSION:   Pelosi Says Constitution Spells Out ‘Two Co-Equal Branches’ Of Government

No Nancy. No.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi must be taking night classes at the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez School of Government.

Pelosi, the 79-year-old third-highest ranking official in the U.S. government, was speaking to the Center for American Progress today when she mistakenly said there are “two co-equal branches” of government, before correcting herself to say there are three.

Watch:

“First of all, let me just say, we take an oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States,” Pelosi said.

“Democrats take that oath seriously, and we are committed to honoring our oath of office. I’m not sure that our Republican colleagues share that commitment, and I’m not sure that the president of the United States does, too,” she claimed.

“So, in light of the fact that the beauty of the Constitution is a system of checks and balances— two co-equal branches— three co-equal branches of government,” she corrected with a laugh.

“A check and balance on each other,” she continued. “Con— Constitution spells out the pri— pa, uh, the duties of Congress and one of them is oversight of the president of the United States, another one of them is to impeach the president of the United States,” Pelosi said.

In November, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rallied supporters on Facebook to pitch in and help Democrats take back “all three chambers of Congress.”

“…the Progressive movement works and it wins in all districts…If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress– three chambers of government…,” she said during the virtual appearance.

She clarified that she meant the “presidency, the Senate and the House.”

According to the Constitution, the three branches of government are the legislative, executive and judicial.
