MSNBC roasts White House for downplaying Gruber's role in Obamacare

MSNBC's "Morning Joe" slammed the Obama administration after emails were recovered suggesting that MIT economist Jonathan Gruber had a larger role in developing the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare than initially acknowledged.

The Obama administration was not "fully forthcoming" on Gruber's role, author Mark Halperin said on "Morning Joe."

"I owe my Republican sources an apology, because they kept telling me he was hugely involved and the White House played it down," Halperin said. "They were right. The Republicans were right … I think they [White House staff] were not fully forthcoming."

Obama's team distanced itself from Gruber last November after it was revealed that Gruber had used phrases such as the "stupidity of the American voter" and noting the "huge political advantage" politicians had in passing Obamacare with little transparency. Gruber apologized before Congress and called his quotes "glib," the Free Beacon reported.

But emails released to the Wall Street Journal indicate that Gruber was in frequent touch with the White House about the healthcare law and his press interviews about the law.

According to the Journal, Gruber was in touch with the director of the Office of Management Budget, and advisers to President Obama like Joshua Furman and Ezekiel Emanuel. One email showed Gruber was invited to meet with Obama himself.

The Abomination BHO is Obama-Nation and Gruber are both Anti-United States of America Everything, and PATHETIC PATHOLOGICAL LIARS!!

It's hard top figure out who is the biggest liar Obama or Hillery it looks like the bigger liar you are the higher you will clime up in the Democrat party the party built on 100% bull Shit .

Well knock me over with a cooked spaghetti noodle, MSNBC said this? FOX better look out, they may not be the only source of truth on tv soon if this keeps up.

When the sky becomes yellow (no longer blue), it becomes extremely difficult to convince "John Q. Public" that "The sky is still blue!"

MSNBC is still composed of a gaggle of morons. There are unedited videos all over the web that prove Gruber said what Republicans claim. MSNBC stuck their heads in the sand.

Maybe Halprin is souring on Obamacarethat, but whether it is a sign of a left wing awakening, is highly doubtful. Maybe Halprin will get fired for it.

Halprin does have a track record of saying things the left doesn't like, but he got chastised and had to apologize for something he said in this video,

but after listening to what Halprin said twice, I can't figure out what he had to apologize for.

Duh !! The only people who didn't already figure this out are those that live in an area with no communications' with the outside world or common sense. It's the old Chinese proverb . One picture worth a thousand words. In this case several video clips of Gruber shooting his mouth off are worth a million words from our worthless leftist MSM.

How can this surprise anyone from this corrupt administration and the liberals ? Expect these guys knocking on your door soon if you voted for Romney last election.

next to climate change...obamacare is one of the biggest scams ever forced onto the American people.

Obamacare is one of the worst nightmare. What kind of idiot would force people to buy insurance and bully them to pay him if they do not buy the insurance? This is worst than a scam, this is just plain ignorant.

Makes no difference to the Progressives, they will continue to support this lying administration.

Gohmert: Dems Will Drag Out Impeachment — Try To Get ‘Best Socialist’ Nominated For President

During an appearance on Huntsville, AL radio’s WVNN on Thursday, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) offered his best assessment of what House Democrats were trying to accomplish with their impeachment efforts.

Gohmert told WVNN’s “The Jeff Poor Show” impeachment could tie up the Democratic Party’s presidential campaign efforts but predicted Democrats would use the occasion to nominate “the best socialist” they can.

“They would lose in the Senate,” Gohmert said on impeachment. “And besides that, the entire time it was on trial in the Senate, the Democrats who are running for president wouldn’t be allowed to campaign. That’s in the Constitution. They wouldn’t be able to campaign. I just can’t imagine them wanting to do that because if they send it to the Senate, they have now perfectly set up the scenario of 1996, where they will reassure Donald Trump is reelected as president. They don’t want to do that. They’re probably going to drag this thing out as long as they possibly can … through Iowa, through primaries — try to get the best socialist they can to be nominated.”

“Then just end up and say, ‘Now we’re close enough to the general election. We’ve thrown mud at the president through the House,’” he continued. “What they’re really doing — they’re using taxpayer funds to campaign against Trump. That’s all this is — a campaign fund that taxpayers are paying for in order to try to throw mud at the president. I’ll be surprised if they have that vote, but I can’t imagine they want to set up this president for reelection by having a trial in the Senate where they lose.”
