Senate Republicans Join Dems to Block Obamacare Fraud Probe

It's fair to say that one of the least popular senators on Capitol Hill these days is Louisiana's David Vitter  and that the displeasure extends to Democrats and many of his fellow Republicans alike.

Vitter, who is running for governor this year, hasn't won himself a lot of friends among his Senate colleagues with his determined effort to force members of Congress and their staffers to sign up for Obamacare, so they can experience what their constituents are dealing with  which all too often is chaos and frustration.

This background may help explain why Vitter, chairman of the Senate Small Business Committee, suffered an unusual rebuke Thursday, when Republicans on the panel joined Democrats in voting against his efforts to investigate what he suspects is fraud committed by some congressional staffers in connection with enrollment in Obamacare.

Vitter was demanding unredacted copies of health insurance applications used by members of Congress to enroll in the small-business exchange. The Louisiana lawmaker alleged that congressional staff had falsified documents in order to allow members of Congress and their staff to receive subsidized insurance, The Hill reported.

But in what the website characterized as a "surprising" vote, five Republicans joined the committee's nine Democrats to oppose Vitter's efforts to issue a subpoena.

The government class are Americas aristocrats. They all should live under the same legislation they force down the American people's throats. Hypocrites all of them.

Odessa,

We have to find a better way than calling them names on this site! We have to stop this and put these people in prison where criminals should be. Now, how do we do this. When this is done there will be fear of 'WE THE PEOPLE'!

Federal Grand Jury complaint forms are the only way that will get this done as long as there are a large percentage of Americans that will file a complaint.

Also, Odessa. You can file a "No Confidence" complaint letter with your Senators and always CC the opposition with the complaint. Now, this isn't as powerful as a Jury complaint, but it does put you on record that the administration is not doing their jobs with the intent posed through their oath of office.

Barry, hot prison, they need a gallows as hanging is the punishment for treason!!!!!

And Odessa, the government class are Americas elite of the elite criminal class.  They cover each others butts so no one goes to prison, no matter what crimes they commit.  It is a crime syndicate second to none in the world.  There is a pressing need for a giant house cleaning in Washington D.C.!

And, what are these RINO's names?

There are few republicans.

The republicrats are the new democraps.

The democraps are the socialists.

My blood just keeps on boiling, and I think it will never return to even a simmer.

There's no difference between what used to be the Republican Party and the Democrat/Socialist Party.  May they all rot in hell.

I call them the elephant and donkey wings of the NEW WORLD ORDER SOCIALIST PARTY (NWOSP)

ANY HOPE THAT I HAVE LEFT FOR THE SURVIVAL OF AMERICA IS PRACTICALLY ALL GONE ALL WE CAN DO NOW IS MAKE SURE THAT OUR HEARTS BELONG TO THE KING OF KINGS & LORD OF LORDS JESUS CHRIST AND PRAY THAT THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WILL GET HIS FOLLOWERS OUT OF THIS WORLD IN A PRE TRIBULATION RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH!!! HOUSE & SENATE REPUBLICANS ARE GIVING BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA FAST-TRACK AUTHORITY IN REGARDS TO THE TRANS PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP AS YOU CAN TELL THIS COUNTRY IS DOOMED FOR DESTRUCTION!!!

TOTAL BULLSHIT!: Trump Goes Off On Mueller Report, People Who ‘Take So-Called Notes'

After a 22-month investigation — with 2,800 subpoenas, 500 witnesses and 500 search warrants, which generated thousands of pages of information, all costing upwards of $30 million — the media boiled it all down to two words: “I’m fucked.”

The media, toeing the line for Hillary Clinton — who, after her shocking and humiliating loss decided that she needed someone or something to blame and pointed a crooked finger at Russia — decided that President Trump all but admitted his alleged crimes with those two words.

In his report revealed on Thursday, Robert Mueller described a scene in the Oval Office that allegedly took place right after he was appointed special counsel and charged with investigating allegations that Trump or his campaign minions colluded with Russia to alter the outcome of the 2020 election.

“Oh my God,” the president told then Attorney General Jeff Sessions, according to the report. “This is terrible. This is the end of my Presidency. I’m fucked.” The interaction was recorded in notes taken by Session’s chief of staff, Jody Hunt.

Many media outlets did not include the context, which was plainly spoken by Trump at the same time. “Everyone tells me if you get one of these independent counsels it ruins your presidency,” Trump said. “It takes years and years and I won’t be able to do anything. This is the worst thing that ever happened to me.”

Luckily for America, he has been able to work through it all, returning the economy to its past glory, achieving record lows in unemployment, and much more.

Now, Trump is taking aim at “people that take so-called ‘notes.’ “

“Statements are made about me by certain people in the Crazy Mueller Report, in itself written by 18 Angry Democrat Trump Haters, which are fabricated & totally untrue. Watch out for people that take so-called ‘notes, when the notes never existed until needed. Because I never….” Trump wrote Friday morning on Twitter.

Trump got worked up after that, calling some tales told in the report “total bullshit.”

“[I]t was not necessary for me to respond to statements made in the ‘Report’ about me, some of which are total bullshit & only given to make the other person look good (or me to look bad). This was an Illegally Started Hoax that never should have happened,” he wrote.

Late Thursday night, Trump also praised Wall Street Journal opinion writer Kimberley Strassel, saying she “should get the Pulitzer. She is a treasure (and I don’t know her) who correctly called the Russia Hoax right from the start! Others who were soooo wrong will get the Prize. Fake News!”

Jump to "where the Mueller team lists its 'prosecution and declination' decisions . . . try not to picture Mueller 'pit bull' prosecutor Andrew Weissmann collapsed under mountains of federal statutes after his two-year hunt to find one that applied."

In a tweet on Thursday, Strassel perfectly summed up the contents of the Mueller report.

“1) What is in the Mueller report: –endless, unrevealing details of inconsequential interaction between trump folks and Russians. –remarkable details about the many and varied statutes the SC [special counsel] nonetheless debated using to tie someone up for something on the Russia front,” she wrote.
