Dem Wants Gag Order On Liberal Lawyer Representing GOP In Obamacare Lawsuit

Self-avowed liberal law professor Jonathan Turley is representing the House GOP in its lawsuit against President Barack Obama’s implementation of Obamacare and at least one House Democrat wants him punished for it.

Turley, a George Washington University law professor, is also a frequent media commentator on political issues. Despite describing himeslf as a political liberal, he’s long been harshly critical of Obama’s use of executive power and said he’d jumped at the chance to represent the House GOP in the lawsuit against unilateral changes to the Affordable Care Act in its implementation.

Now that Turley’s working for the GOP, Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. Robert Brady wants to ban him from speaking out any issue of executive authority — which Turley’s based much of his career on — for years.

“Given that Mr. Turley extensively participates in various media forums, including writing his own blog, would it not be better to prohibit Mr. Turley from making any media appearances in which he comments on the extent of the executive authority of the President in any context whatsoever during the pendency of this case?” Brady wrote Monday to Rep. Candice Miller, chairman of the House Administration Committee.

“Moreover, since the limitation appears to be in force only for the life of the contract, would it not better protect the interests of the House if Mr. Turley was prohibited from making statements, granting interviews or otherwise conferring with any member of the media or media organization for a period of years following the conclusion of this case?”

omg.. R party can't find an ally to fight the fight?   -- or have no idea how to fight anymore and had to get somebody from a group who does and hope he doesn't throw the fight?  -- or just don't want to win fights at all, wish they didn't even have to try?

The top G.O.P. are in bed with Reid and Obama. Both parties want to see USA fall so the UNITED NATIONS can come in and establish NEW WORLD ORDER. Both parties want this change, just look up new world order. Bush's-Clinton's-Obama and others who influence the fall of this country. Ferguson is burning and wait it will come to your neighborhood.

They will probably get it.

Oh for goodness sake, What the heck are they afraid of...THE TRUTH?  Of course, that's exactly what it is.  They know this man knows his stuff, and might have a chance against the most liberal courts. He knows how they think, or don't think, as the case may be. I love to see the jackasses lose it when they are about to get thumped! STFU and go do something useful, like putting a gag on  Donna Brazile, or dinghy hairy's mouth, before they makes you all look even MORE STUPID than you ARE!.

I would suggest they read the Constitution, in particular, the 1st Amendment!!!  Oh I forget myself - it's ONLY applies to them. What a sorry bunch.

and what are you expecting.  They cannot wait to see if they end the internet.  Voices of protests are not permitted in tyrannical societies.

No you idiot, try applying the same logic to Sharpton. He has access to the White House and is a commentator on a Liberal News cast. The insanity of this administration is mind numbing and laughable. Once these wanna-be politicians leave office, every thing they have done should be stripped from history as a disaster in our nations history.

So the Dems have punished those opposing them by the IRS.  Now if someone practices their  profession and it just doesn't fit  what you are stuffing down the peoples throat ,  then you destroy the persons profession.   Exactly when did this country turn into a dictatorship??????

The first attorneys to take this suit on quit.  Republicans, no?  So Turley, who's open about his political affiliation AND about his disgust with President Obama's form of governance, agrees to take this on, and he shouldn't be allowed to because he's a self-described liberal?  Is there any slack available out there anywhere?  Then, of course, the liberal side, in this case in the face of Brady (D-PA) wants Turley shut up.  Tell you where their fear is?  Liberals don't know squat about liberty, do they?  Funniest: Brady writes chair of House Admin (who should be republican, yes?) about his concern.  BUT if this is a lawsuit the House Admin has nothing to do with it, nor do they have anything to do with Turley b/c he's not a member of Congress.  This is simply political dirty play.  Maybe some Republican should suggest that no Democrats should make any comments about the topic in public for the duration, until the lawsuit is done and gone.  Esp. Brady.

When are our Guns going to be the Spokesman for us? Only because of these commie demorats they are the biggest roadblock to any such continuation of goodness in this country.

Move out? Like where? Canada? - You got to be kidding. We have only one option. Eliminate the left, take our country back to restore America's glory, our freedom and democracy.

SICK: Leprosy On The Rise In Los Angeles

Ahh, the joys of open borders and Democrat leadership.

California is not just a public toilet but now there is evidence that leprosy is on the rise in Los Angeles County.

Barack Obama changed US law in 2016 and allowed immigrants with blistering STDs and leprosy to migrate to the US.

Medscape reported:

Leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease, is rarely seen in the United States, but cases continue to emerge in Los Angeles County, a new report says.

“Hansen’s disease still exists, and we need to educate medical students and physicians,” coauthor Dr. Maria Teresa Ochoa from Keck Medical Center of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, told Reuters Health by email.

Dr. Ochoa and colleagues identified 187 patients with the disease in a review of medical records from their leprosy clinic spanning 1973 to 2018. Most patients were Latino, originating from Mexico, and they experienced a median delay in diagnosis of more than three years, the team reports JAMA Dermatology, online August 7.

Multibacillary leprosy (MB) cases outnumbered paucibacillary leprosy (PB) cases by nearly eight to one (88.6% vs. 11.4%, respectively), and Latino patients were more likely than non-Latino patients to have MB, as were patients from Central or South America (versus other regions).

Most patients (80.7%) received multidrug therapy, and most (92.6%) received antibiotics for more than two years, especially if they had MB.

Only about half of patients (56.7%) had World Health Organization (WHO) grade 0 disability (no signs or symptoms suggestive of leprosy or disability) at the one-year follow-up, whereas 16.0% had grade 1 disability (loss of protective sensation) and 26.2% had grade 2 disability (visible deformity) at the last follow-up.

Among the patients who lost protective sensation, 87.7% (50/57) did not regain it following therapy.
