Unknown to most Americans is the added benefit foreign diplomats -- some from nations that criticize, dislike or are uncooperative with the U.S. -- receive from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) using American taxpayers' money: subsidized healthcare. On Thursday, GOP lawmakers decided "enough is enough" and wrote a scathing letter to the IRS chief.
While Americans struggle to pay their taxes, the IRS gives Obamacare to foreign diplomats.
The chairman of the House of Representatives' Committee on Foreign Affairs, Rep. Ed Royce, R-California, along with his colleague Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, R-Michigan, reported on Thursday that they wrote to IRS Commissioner John Koskinen after they discovered that foreign diplomats assigned to embassies, consulates, and diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C., and New York City are eligible for subsidized healthcare coverage under the "monstrosity Affordable Care Act (ACA)," commonly known as Obamacare, a law read by few legislators and understood by even fewer.
"It boggles the mind how Americans can barely afford the premiums for their healthcare insurance thanks to Obama and the Democrats and their fiasco ACA program, yet they're forced to subsidize the healthcare for men and women from foreign countries many of whom hate America and Americans," said former police sergeant and hospital security director George Pintos.
The Republicans' official letter asks the IRS chief to provide information on just how many foreign nationals have enrolled in ACA and the total cost of all subsidies given to foreign diplomats.
LOL, "a scathing letter" ?? Yeah, that will get this anti-American administration's attention and have them jumping to appease the GOP's demands. Like the GOP didn't already know this was happening. What do they plan to do with the information assuming the IRS even provides it? Hmmmm...
Why not --- illegals, diplomats -- all part of the plan to eliminate the middle class !
Look deeper, is it just the diplomats or also their family members, house keepers, limo drivers, etc.?
Letter sent to IRS Commissioner - John Koskinen? Are you kidding me?
Does anyone remember this sleazy jerks comments when he was being questioned by Trey Gowdy during congressional hearing re: IRS a few months ago?
With all due respect to Rep. Royce and Rep. Camp....why did they even bother to waste time writing Koskinen a letter.....for they will not get an answer.
I am opposed to government handouts on principle. But, this sort of thing galls me. None of our dollars should be going to any body from anywhere else.
Once the so-called affordable health act was signed into law by the president and the supreme court made a decision that is was constitutional as a tax, it was assigned to the IRS and from that point on they write the laws that are followed. These unelected appointed bureaucrats( that the senate has approved} have the powers of the executive branch, both houses of congress and the courts to write the laws that we follow.
its bad enough when we know that illegal aliens are signing up...it seems that obamacare has more invisible tentacles attached to it than anyone is aware of....when the gop wins the senate..they say they will fix obamacare....this very thing would be a great place to start..the American tax payer is funding the entire world...and getting very little in return..but more and more people and things to fund....by time Obama leaves the oval office he will probably have run up some 25 trillion dollars...that our childrens...children...will still be paying off......don't forget that these foreign diplomats have their families with them...and I bet they fly their aunts, uncles and distant cousins in for their medical care also.
This is an insult on top of the first insult of forcing us to pay for an unchosen product. What is the proper function of government? Certainly not to inflict force upon us. Watch this series of short videos for more details.
That's because Obama thinks that we are a rich imperial country, and that we now have to pay for everyone else in this world. How wrong is he, we have to struggle to make a living and there is no free money like foreign think it is. Perhaps, it is he who does not work for living and stays in golf course all the time. I had to work for a living, so that I would be able to retired. I never learned golf because I was working for my family.
