U.N. Accuses Islamic State of Executions, Rape, Child Abuse in Iraq

The United Nations accused Islamic State fighters in Iraq of executing religious and other leaders as well as teachers and health workers, forcibly recruiting children and raping women among acts that amounted to war crimes.

A UN report focused on a range of violations committed against civilians, particularly by the Islamic State, though it also said Iraqi forces and allied fighters had not taken precautions to protect civilians from violence.

POLL:  Will the Islamic Jihadists attack in the United States?

“(This)…may also amount to war crimes,” the report found.

At least 5,576 Iraqi civilians have been killed this year in violence, the U.N. said in the most detailed account yet of the impact of months of unrest culminating in advances by Sunni militants led by the al Qaeda offshoot Islamic State, formerly known as ISIL, across the north.

“ISIL and associated armed groups have also continued to… perpetrate targeted assassinations (community, political, and religious leaders, government employees, education professionals, health workers, etc.), sexual assault, rape and other forms of sexual violence against women and girls, forced recruitment of children, kidnappings, executions, robberies.”

And just what are they going to do about it? We all know the answer to that! NOTHING!!! Just like Americans will do nothing about our horder! NOTHING!!!

My thought exactly!!

@Ted I Lewis,

What they might do is have them come sit at the UN table and swap ideas on how to overrun a country.

Mr. long, while I agree with your idea, the only problem with it is that once we lower our gas prices, in our home heating prices, we would be attracting more of those idiots to live here in US.

Thomas, I can't see why lowering our gas prices would have any effect on people who know that if they get here they get free room and board plus free transportation, clothes, toys, bedding, health care and I am sure I didn't get everything free in the list.

We just have to KEEP THEM OUT!  That means NOBODY gets in associated with a militant group (ISLAM or the like) and if you want to become acitizen, you FOLLOW THE RULES.

We had gasoline at 27.9 CENTS a GALLON and those idiots weren't beating down the gates.  The rest of the world sold gasoline by the LITRE, (just over a quart) and they got over a buck each.

   Oren, well said! Bleeding hearts are what got us to this point! And the will to do what is really right! What is right? How about the 26 homeless vets? Kicked out of their shelter to make room for 14-18 year old gang bangers! There is no dought in my mind that you Victoria, would think this act to be ok! Why don't you take in some of them?!

@Oren Long,

And by setting a positive example the rest of the world might want to replicate what we have.  If they spent their time taking care of the problems in their countries they would have a better and therefor more peaceful life.

 Victoria, where are their parents? Why doint they protect their kids?! Is it our 9lace to do that? And do you 5hink we should not do something about the Christian girls and boys being raped and killed in our country! Oh! That would be wrong!

@Oren Long,

Which is exactly why OTraitor is blocking this......

Absolutely Orin... we are the worlds leading producer of crude right now and we still have not tapped into many of our known reserves... the ANWAR in Alaska being one such area that could be rapidly developed and turned into a gold mine for our national treasury.  There are sufficient fossil fuel reserves to make us independent from foreign oil, to jump start our  economy and too pay off the national debt... if these reserves are properly managed.

Instead, it appears that the nation will be forced into bankruptcy ... where these reserves may be stolen for penny's on the dollar by greedy global corporate and foreign national interest. Make no mistake there are forces at work attempting to do just that.

Having been there, I can tell you, this is the norm for these scumbags.  If you thought the Germans were barbarians in WWII, you have seen nothing as horrific as you would see if you were over there and among the general population.  That is why the good people of Iraq and all the rest of the Middle East (and there are many good ones there) are petrified on a daily basis.  They are defenseless against these butchers and barbarians, the worst you have even seen in modern times!!!  Obama has financed them well with American taxpayer money for the last six plus years.  We fought valiantly over there to cut off their funding and then we vote in one of the worst of them as our commander in chief.  These terrorists don't need much of anything now, Oren.  Obama has supplied them for quite some time to come and we have sat here complacent and allowed him to not only do that but steal elections so he could continue to do it until America falls.  You have obviously never been to the Middle East, Oren.  When 9/11 happened in this country, what they do over there matters greatly to us.  The fact that those terrorists groups are here now at the gilt edged invitation of Obama also matters greatly.   If you thought 9/11 was bad, you have seen nothing yet when they have sufficient numbers here to do some serious damage.  Stopping terrorism is anything but simple.  Ask the American military that spent years over there.  It is much more difficult now, especially since our debt is over the top and we no long have the discretionary funds to do what you suggest.  They have more money, weapons and equipment than we do now, Oren.  Your theory is good, it's just not reality.

ALERT ALERT

Fact Check:   'Joe Biden Claims ‘We Didn’t Lock People Up In Cages’

CLAIM: Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed, on immigration: “We didn’t lock people up in cages.”

VERDICT: FALSE. The “cages” were built by the Obama-Biden administration.

Univision moderator Jorge Ramos asked Biden at the third Democrat debate at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, why Latinos should trust him after the Obama administration continued deporting “undocumented immigrants.”

Biden claimed that the Obama administration’s policies were more humane than those of President Donald Trump: “We didn’t lock people up in cages,” he said.

In fact, the “cages” were built by the Obama administration to deal with a surge of unaccompanied minors who crossed the border illegally in 2014.

Originally, the Obama administration was “warehousing” children — literally — in overwhelmed Border Patrol facilities. Breitbart News broke the story of the surge, which was partly triggered by Obama’s policy of allowing illegal alien children who entered the country as minors to stay in the country (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA).

The above photo was published by the Associated Press in June 2014, and the photo below is of Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, touring a Border Patrol facility with “cages.”

The “cages” are chain-link enclosures in Border Patrol processing facilities that are meant to protect children from adults in custody. They are not permanent accommodations.

In mid-2018, as the Trump administration began enforcing a “zero tolerance” policy that stopped the “catch-and-release” policy of letting illegal aliens go after they were arrested. Detaining adults and children meant that children had to be processed separately; the enclosures prevented adults from harming children.

As Breitbart News reported at the time, children were not housed in “cages.” They were processed and then taken to shelters, where they were given medical care, toiletries, education, recreation, and counseling, and where staff attempted to find relatives or sponsors to whom they could be released.

Democrats began tweeting images of “kids in cages” to condemn the Trump administration. Journalists, too, shared those images.

One problem: they were taken during the Obama administration.

Public outrage at the images led President Trump to end the policy, and require families to be detained together.

Democrats keep repeating the mistake, however: in July, they had to delete a tweet that used an image from the Obama era and cited the “inhumane treatment” of children by the Trump administration.

Republicans argue that not detaining illegal aliens is actually the cruel policy, because it encourages migrants to undertake a dangerous journey, often guided by cartels and smugglers.

As Breitbart News’ Alana Mastrangelo noted recently:

But what’s worse than “cages,” however, are reports of migrant children also being handed over to human traffickers during the Obama administration — while Biden was vice president — according to the New York Times. Between October 2013 and July 2015 alone, nearly 80,000 unaccompanied children from Central American countries were detained by U.S. authorities.

It remains unclear how many of the tens of thousands of children were handed over to human traffickers — including sex traffickers — during that span of nearly two years, as those cases are reportedly not tracked.

“Others were ransomed by the very smugglers to whom their families paid thousands of dollars to sneak them into the United States,” reported the New York Times in 2015, during Obama’s presidency and Biden’s vice presidency. “Some lost limbs during the journey or found themselves sold into sexual slavery.”

Biden told voters in South Carolina last month that he would close all border detention facilities, guaranteeing that the migrant flow would continue.
